Castelo de PalmelaO Castelo de Palmela é de fundação incerta, mas as escavações arqueológi-cas vieram confirmar a sua origem muçulmana no séc. VIII. Palmela é conquistada aos muçulmanos por D. Afonso Henriques, em 1147 e definitiva-mente recuperada por D. Sancho I.Foi sede da Ordem de Santiago até à sua extinção em 1834 e é classificado como monumento nacional em 1910.Palmela CastleOf uncertain date, archeological digs have however confirmed the castle's 8th century Muslim origin. Palmela was conquered from the Moors by D. Afonso Henriques in 1147 and definitively retaken by D. Sancho I; it was the seat of the St. James Military Order until Military Orders were abolished in 1834 and was classified as a national Monument in 1910.
Igreja de SantiagoEdifício tardo-gótico do séc. XV, composto por 3 naves, onde se podem observar restos de decoração azulejar dos séculos XVII e XVIII. Igreja conventual que alberga o túmulo de D. Jorge de Lencastre, último Mestre da Ordem de Santiago e, é hoje, uma sala de exposições de excelência.Church of St. James15th century late Gothic, composed of three naves complete with partial 17th and 18th century decorative tile panels. A monastic church that houses the tomb of D. Jorge de Lencastre, the last Master of the St. James Order; nowadays an exhibition space par excellence.
Igreja de Santa Maria do CasteloPrimeira igreja paroquial de Palmela, provavelmente do séc. XII, ficou em ruínas desde o terramoto de 1755. A antiga sacristia foi recuperada para instalar o Gabinete de Estudos sobre a Ordem de Santiago.Church of St. Mary of the CastlePalmela´s first Parish Church, most likely 12th century; in ruins since the 1755 earthquake. The former sacristy is now the Office for Studies of the Order of St. James.

Paços do ConcelhoSede da Câmara Municipal de Palmela, neste edifício encontra-se um Salão Nobre decorado com retratos murais dos soberanos de Portugal, desde o Conde D. Henrique a D. XVIII, que retrata a vida apostólica de S. Chafariz D. Maria IChafariz monumental datado de 1792. O primeiro aqui existente dataria do séc. XVI, construído por ordem de D. Jorge de Lencastre, último Grão Mestre da Ordem de Santiago. Decorado com as antigas armas da Vila de Palmela, foi restaurado e remodelado no reinado de D. Maria I sendo classificado como monumento de interesse público em 2012.D. Cineteatro S. JoãoO edifício idealizado e mandado construir por Humberto da Silva Cardoso, foi inaugurado no dia 16 de julho de 1952, com a projeção do filme “As aventuras de D. Juan”. Símbolo da vida cultural de muitas gerações, o Cineteatro S. João é hoje, um equipamento qualificado, polivalente e dinâmico, um espaço potenciador de criação, divulgação e produção cultural. O Cineteatro S. João está classsificado como Monumento de Interesse Público (2012).S.
