apasionante.
When it comes to making a biographical approach, the main goal is to get as realistic a
portrait of the individual as possible, this entailing the use of any available resource that
sheds light not only on the events of his or her life, but also on all the emotions and
feelings involved. Certain sources are commonly accepted, such as the official records,
the handwriting production of the subject or the statements made by friends, relatives or
even antagonists. However, the advantages of taking graphology into account are
usually cast aside and therefore it is not included in the analysis, despite its direct
relationship with the more intimate layer of the subject. It seems that the degree of
uncertainty within any other sources is easily assumed (we hardly remember that history
is written by the victors), while the graphological approach still generates an apparently
unavoidable level of distrust, no matter how serious the study is. We claim that
graphology must be combined with the biographical approach, thus making it possible
to draw parallels with the circumstances of life and their emotional impact on the
individual. Graphology and history combined can provide an extremely engaging vision
of the character, in a similar way to what facial reconstruction can make as to the
physical appearance when there are no other clues about it. Therefore, and whenever
possible, biographoanalysis is undoubtedly an exciting discipline.

Scientific correlation meta-analysis of the European Graphanalysis
The European Graphoanalysis has its main exponent in the system of percentile
identification of temperaments and characters of Augusto Vels, as well as the advanced
system of Transactional Graphoanalysis of Viñals and Puente. Although it has a proven
scientific basis in the bases, maestros and its development by the European Schools of
Graphology, it is validated in this thesis with the compilation of theses and meta-
analysis of doctoral works, thus ratifying its current academic value.

La amenaza de los narcopisos en Barcelona
Starting from 2016, the looming presence of “narcopisos” has become more and more
evident in the city of Barcelona. Many apartments are used as drug markets, opened 24
hours a day and located in the city center. Horrify scenarios are taken place within the
houses illegally squatted by drug dealers, in which you can buy and consume drugs or
just buy them and leave, and where they also hold a large quantity of weapons. A sexual
abuse on a minor was also committed within one of them.
The Raval district, the most multicultural neighbourhood in the city, holds the most
number of “narcopisos”. The citizens, placed in front of this growing threat, clearly
didn’t remain defenceless; several mobilizations have started in fact by the Raval
neighbours. These associations, born with the aim to fight the proliferation of drug
trafficking, organise meeting to establish the measures to be taken towards this problem.
Even the police took action to dismantle them in large quantities, but it seems this is not
enough. Most of the narcopisos are managed by criminal organisations, especially of
Dominican and Pakistani origin. Among the triggers that is causing this situation, an
important place is taken by the real estate speculation.
Recently i did two interviews which gave me the opportunity to go deeper into this
issue. I interviewed a person who is actually living in an ex-narcopiso which he
occupied himself, with the collaboration of other neighbours of Raval district, in order
to take it from the drug dealers possession.
In fact, the strategy of occupying these houses is another solution among the ones used
by the citizens. I did the second interview with Ángel Cordero, who represented the
Acció Raval platform which was born to denounce drug trafficking.

Nowadays, our society value very much the way of dressing, many times as an emblem
of their social status. Social media (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) is helping it.
Brands use them to show their collections and novelties, where everyone from United
States to China or Australia can see, buy or look forward to them.
One of the problems begins just there, when people want the product, but they can not
acquire it. That is the moment where copies and forgeries do their job: making up the
shortage and offering fake product very similar (practically the same) than the original
creation but cheaper.
Someone has to protect those original goods, why not an expert Criminalist?

Rodriguez Ferri, Rosa Maria
Grafología y la enfermedad del Parkinson
Writing represents everything we want to convey. Unconsciously, we receive
information of our environment and we write in order to transmit what we are thinking
or feeling at this point in time. In other words, everything we have lived and learnt is
transmitted and reflected in our writing. Moreover, every movement is controlled by our
brain. Therefore, brain controls every movement when we are writing. When a
neurodegenerative disease affects to our brain it’s reflected in our writing. Graphology
is a science that studies and analyses graphic aspects and sub-aspects.
What I want to study is on the one hand, if we can detect a neurodegenerative disease
such as Parkinson in our writing. On the other hand, I would like to know if we could
detect writing disturbances before disease has been clinical detected. In other words,
detect the disease when it appears. Then, we could advise the patient a medical
examination. Therefore, the most important thing is if we can detect the disease in a
premature phase rather than in advanced phase.
First of all, I have read and studied about neurodegenerative diseases. In order to
understand it I had to read about how does the brain works, which parts of our brain
control our movements and how a neurodegenerative disease affects to our writing.
Secondly, I have read and learnt about graphology. Everybody has unique graphical
aspects that tell how each person is. Moreover, if a disease affects to our writing we can
observe graphic alterations.
In order to put into practice everything learned I have analyzed a writing of a person
suffering Parkinson. Furthermore, I asked writing from previous years in order to
contrast.
Finally, I’ve obtained interesting results that are explained throughout the work.

Queiloscòpia i Cosmètica. Anàlisi químic mitjançant les tècniques
espectroscòpiques
Cheiloscopy is the study of features and classification of lips and its grooves presents in
the lips mucous membranes as a way of human identification. So that, it’s a technical
study procedure using labial footprints of objects/evidences recollected in Technical
Ocular Investigation. The lip print can be accompanied by remains of saliva (DNA) or
cosmetics products. The study is intended to support the technique in the absence of
remains of DNA.
The study has been carried out using the electromagnetic technical RMN (Nuclear
Magnetic Resonance) of 5 cosmetics products, with and without pigmentation, to find
differences in the spectrums results knowing its compositions. In this way, it can be
observed different characteristics spectrums in which the start of a new database of
loophoscopic study can be carried out.
The results obtained through the high-resolution technique of the products without
pigmentation provide us with easily detectable differences. However, the high
pigmentation products provide more difficulty than RMN technique, it exhibits little
visibility of low concentration raw materials and errors compared to obtaining spectra.
In conclusion, the study’s results show that chemistry and cosmetology could be an
alternative for the identification of evidences, in addition to more conventional technical
like a development of lip print, biological and odontological studies.

custodia
The main purpose of this work is to highlight the correct proceeding during the
processing of a Crime scene, the different types of evidences that can be found in it and
the proper handling, packaging and transfer of these, since, these elements are vital to
subsequently obtain the expected results in the investigation as suchand be able to
present them in an eventual judicial process as a reliable mean of proof.
The present task will use the investigative method and bibliographic consultation, since
data is going to be collected, theories, definitions and concepts of different experts in
the field to achieve the proposed objective.

La Nanotecnología en las Ciencias Forenses
In modern days our capacity to understand new technologies and scientific facts has
allowed us to expand our vision to new areas in science.
One of this areas is the nanotechnology and nanoscience, whose main characteristic is
the study of the characteristics and phenomena that occurs in the materials at the
nanoscale, something like 0.000000001 meters.
The nanotechnology is becoming one of the most important fields in science and most
of ours everyday electronic devices are built with the help of it, making transistors and
other components every time smaller, making their capacity much better maintaining
the same size.
If we implement this new science field with the forensic science we would reach the
nano forensics area. In this new area we will try to get better results to different areas of
forensic science, for example, get better latent fingerprints than with the commonly used
powders, etc.
In this work we will try to see what advantages and disadvantages can gives us each of
the different technics explained, and see if we can really implement this new techniques
in the forensic science fields.

Investigació Criminal: Inspecció Ocular Tecnicopolicial
The police series and films have had a big influence on society by creating an image on
criminal investigation which doesn’t correspond to reality. For this reason, the objective
of this project is criminal investigation, specifically, explaining how a technician-legal
ocular inspection is carried out.
The different police bodies have their protocols to follow on an ocular inspection, the
protocol of this project is that carried out in Catalonia, specifically the one used by the
police of the Mossos d'Esquadra because I have visited them several times and they
have explained how they act an ocular inspection, as well as cases they have resolved or
cases that are currently open.
This project begins by explaining what’s criminality and its origins. This is a set of
procedures applicable to criminal investigation and the study of the crime committed.
It’s observed that it’s applied to criminal investigation, which is also analyzed in the
project, and what is the study of criminal acts from of different techniques that will be
used, later, to the judicial procedures to determine the culpability or acquittal of the
person allegedly guilty of a criminal act.
Once the previous one has been explained, the specific study on the techno-legal ocular
inspection begins, which is one of the techniques used in criminal investigation. An
ocular inspection is a means of investigation that is oriented to find out the truth of a
criminalact through a recognition of the place where it has occurred in order to gather
evidence to be able to link the author to the facts with the scene where it has happened,
as well as imputing the criminal offense.
The ocular inspections are carried out by the scientific police in a careful and
meticulous manner, and this will be different according to the crime that has been
committed. In this project, the object of study is the scenarios of suicide and homicide
or murder, since even though the phases are the same, the protocols, that’s, the way in
which the eye inspection will be carried out, it will be different.

Currently, multiple sexual aggression cases have been growing impact on media since
there has been a significant increase in these in Spain. In addition, a considerable part of
the population has made a series of protests against the sentences of some of these
cases, considering that the penalties were not forceful enough. Even so, there are many
cases where it is not possible to associate the samples of the suspects with the evidence.
This work tries to expose the problems faced by a researcher when he/she has to
interpret a mixed DNA profile once the data derived from the analysis of the autosomal
STRs have been obtained, while trying to explain the entire procedure necessary to
analyse the results.
Problems can appear from loss of alleles (drop-out) or contamination with alleles from
external sources (drop-in), such as the difficulties in identifying the number of
individuals that contribute to the sample or distinguish their specific genotypes. These
difficulties influence the subsequent statistical interpretation that is necessary to give
consistency to a coincidence between the samples, which would support the hypothesis
of the accusation. The more people involved, the more difficulties they encounter and
more difficult it is to be able to demonstrate their implications in the crime.
Finally, some alternatives are explained that would help to interpret some cases, such as
the analysis of the STRs of the Y chromosome or the mitochondrial DNA sequencing,
as well as the help of new computer programs capable of interpreting the mixes and
perform the appropriate statistical calculations.

armat
When the police officers take part in a armed intervention, with any kind of weapons, it
is a stressful situation where their lives or their physical integrity could be damaged.
This dangerous person and this situation triggers physiological reactions inside the
body.
This reaction depends on a segregation of biological hormones and it involves changes
in the behavior of the person. This changes do not allow to see anything more than the
person with the weapon. This fact causes a lack of attention in a lot of factors that are
very important to choose the best option or this choise does not generate side effects.
For this reason, in every physiological reaction inside the body the nutrition is very
important to control the hormone levels on the blood flow. This fact could decrease this
changes that means more likely to succeed.

Child sexual abuse is a problem that goes beyond the borders of states, cultures and
different social strata. Factors such as secrecy, shame, age and dependence on the adult
that characterise the victims cause a small number of child to report this situation. All
this only reinforces society's need for useful tools to deal with these situations.
There are currently several projects that aim to provide us with these tools. The
prevention of child sexual abuse can be done from two different and equally necessary
approaches.
On the one hand, those that focus on potential perpetrators and, on the other, those that
focus on potential victims.

This Master's Final Project develops an investigation based on a very specific topic,
murder.
In such investigation has been use different methods utilized in criminalistics with the
final objective of solving a murder. In order to carry out this work it has been necessary
to represent a crime. I chose it to be a crime of passion as well as revenge.
From this representation, different expert opinions has been used (calligraphic,
lofoscopic, forensic doctor) that have been essential to carry out the correct
investigation and subsequent resolution of such murder. I decide on a murder because in
this way I can get the opportunity to use different methods explained during the master
course that I found very interesting.
To finish the master's work, I reached a conclusion resulting in the resolution of the
murder, thus judging the suspect through the evidence obtained during the investigation.
To clarify that this Master in Criminalistics has helped me to back up with a
theoretically knowledge in this matter to overcome those deficiencies that I had in a
field in which I am very interested and for which I find myself studying oppositions.
I have decided to divide the project into two fundamental parts, a more theoretical one,
referring to everything I have learned about the techniques used in criminalistics and
another part more practical in which I develop all the research through the expert
opinions

El residuo del disparo
Gunshot residue is one of the main evidences in a crime scene where a handgun has
been fired. This work it’s about very important issues such us where to find them,
complications that may occur sampling and the most used forensic analytical
techniques. Moreover, it contains information about the newest techniques to find
gunshot residue from non-toxic and lead – free ammunition, as well as the most utilized
chemical and ballistic methods to determine the firing distance. In order to understand
all of this, firstly, it’s explained what is the origin of the GSR, how they appear and
what elements are they formed with.

notariales (Bolivia)
The falsification of Bolivian notarial documents has been a very frequent problem
within Bolivian society. For this reason, in this paper we turn to a branch of
criminalistics: in this case the Documentoscopy.
We will analyze the Bolivian notarial paper, where the documentoscopy establishes
different security measures for the documents, intrinsic security measures that are
incorporated into the paper at the time of its manufacture.
It should be noted that there are various security measures, but the challenge is to
analyze and propose security measures that are compatible with society, the economy,
and the geographical location in which the security measures are to be implemented.
We will study the different types of falsehood, use of counterfeit instruments and crimes
that join them with false notarial documents.
When analyzing the different criminal facts and the viable security measures for the
incorporation of the Bolivian notarial paper, we can propose the necessary security
measures that the notarial paper must contain to be a document that provides security to
the Notary of Public Faith as to the whole society.

Many of the debates that arise in the different congresses, talks or simply classrooms of
the different Faculties of Law and Criminology come up with the question of the need
or not of the criminologist to know with greater or lesser magnitude the so-called
criminal law. The present study aims to analyze and study the possibility that people
who follow series such as the CSI, perceive the contents of the series as real, which
means that expectations are created that are not the current ones. We also want to
analyze the level of deception experienced by students who choose a Degree in
Criminology, since they are thought to be interrelated.

This document posits a literary narrative reflection on changes that the society has faced
with the justice methods and its ways to declare justice either in criminal offences,
punishable conduct or actions socially unacceptable. For this reason, this text shows an
archive analysis to illustrate the importance to bring the past to the present using a news
that tells the story about a man, called Mr. Juan, who was taken to court for committing
murder and incest; then, he suffered torture in order to reveal the truth. In this way we
expect to describe the progress that we currently have and the guarantees offered
nowadays, to the victims as well as to the indicters.

This work aims to explain in a summary way the emergence, evolution and importance
of Profiling as a criminal investigation technique, as well as the role it plays in the cases
of serial killers, a criminal group on which the study of this work will fall. associated
with criminal profiling, since they undoubtedly constitute one of the most terrible and
fascinating phenomena of modern criminality.
We will focus on some examples of Spanish serial killers, who committed their criminal
acts in different territories of Spain and analyze the characteristics of their behaviors,
modus operandi, signature, to create a criminal profile on them, in addition to
presenting cases in which the capture of the criminal was achieved with the help of the
realization of a criminal profile by specialists and others in which although there was no
direct collaboration with the police bodies, similarities between the profile and the
individual can be seen That turned out to be the culprit of the crimes.

Programa de Prevención Noma (No Más Acoso)
Bullying or bullying for decades has been a type of standardized abuse within our
society, minors and adolescents have been victims for years in silence of verbal and
physical violence, due to their physical appearance, race, religion or sexual orientation
among others . The evolution of our society, in which there is a greater diversity of
cultures, due to greater immigration, technology or sexual freedom, has achieved greater
visibility in the face of bullying, but despite this, bullying remains incipient since
technology through social networks has been a decisive factor in its growth, thus
facilitating the way of doing it. The schools do not have a current prevention plan for
these cases and need an innovative way to prevent and solve harassment situations now
and together with the collaboration of parents and students. Therefore, the NOMA
Prevention Plan (No More Harassment) tries to carry out this problem in an innovative
way, through a deductive method, covering various ways to combat bullying and avoid
increasing these cases.

The role of women within these terrorist organizations has gone unnoticed but the
number of women joining the ranks of Jihad has increased in recent years. And not only
that, but the role they play within them has been transformed. Formerly their role within
these organizations was purely domestic but today, they also occupy combat positions
and even lead terrorist groups. The main objective of this work is the analysis of the
factors or motivations that influence these women to integrate into this criminal network
as well as the methods used by radicals to introduce them into terrorist organizations.

consecuencias.
As a result of numbers of criminal complaints related to sexual violence, especially
against childresn, reported to the presecutor´s offcie in my cuntry, it was posible to
identify certain common criteria in the majority of the mentioned complaints. This made
posible rhe realization of this papaer, consisting of a profound research that aims to
establish characterisctics and criteria thay made be usefull for a betther approach of
criminal investigations related to this felony offesnse, and for elaborating preventions
and assistance programs that allow sinking the rate of sexual abuse or easing the
consequences of it.

Sherlock Holmes is considered one of the best-known detectives of all time due to his
deductions, his logic and his ability to observe. Since Arthur Conan Doyle created the
character in 1887, he has inspired many other detective sagas and the black novel in
general. At the end of the 19th century, the means and the technology that was available
was much more rudimentary than what we have today. Even so, Holmes knew how to
overcome and currently continues to surprise his readers thanks to his unique and
difficult technique to match. The following work aims to contextualize the science used
at the end of the 19th century in which the different stories are developed and explain
through examples the evolution of some of the forensic disciplines mentioned.

This thesis emerges from a personal change, a decision that took me to emigrate from
my country. This change made me find a different reality not yet known by me. That
concern arises from the curiosity to investigate similarities and differences between
some police procedures in Uruguay and Spain.
After an extensive research about the evidence chain of custody, the removal of the
body and its transfer; I could gather information about the Uruguayan and Spanish
procedures to make a comparative analysis.
Regarding the obtained results I found with laws in both countries that explain the legal
bases and hierarchy ranks that must be obeyed. Yet there is not a law that control the
procedure in that domain. In Uruguay there are laws that regulate it but not in Spain
where the procedure is in base to internal protocols.

Perfis Criminais: Técnica auxiliar forense de investigaçao criminal
The main focus of this work is to emphasize the importance of the Criminal Profiling as
an auxiliary technique in a Criminal Investigation.
Firstly, a detailed analysis of the literature was carried out within the scope of figuring
out its fundamental concepts. Furthermore, since this technique has undergone an
enormous evolution over time, it was necessary to address the perspective of its
historical evolution, framing the various concepts and approaches over time. Its
applicability to specific crimes (homicides; rape) will also be described and, finally, the
capacity of its scope and limitations will be mentioned.

Nowadays there are a lot of films, series, and novels that deal with the issue of murder,
victim and murderer. Most of them idealize the crime, showing it in an improbable way,
using techniques that doesn’t exist, or even using methods that in real life would be
considered a violation of human rights.
The objective of this thesis is to determine how a fictional crime would be carried out in
criminal studies today, and show the reality of these investigation.
About this objective the question is, how far goes the fiction in a film, series or novel
crime? How much is fake and how much could be real? Our study has focused in the
famous novel Murder in Orient Express by Agatha Christie. During the study we have
been comparing what the novel says, and what would an expert do.
These questions are answered by the experts and the scientific method. Thanks to these
studies we know how difficult and how many legislations we must be regarded at the
time of realise an expert. These result show us the reality of a crime investigation.
Keeping this in mind, we saw at conclusion how many studies have a crime
investigation, how many things have to be taken into account, the importance of
maintaining the chain of custody, and the importance of every expert, and how all of
them complement between them.

The present work aims to address the theme of serial killers, the differences between
psychotic and psychopathic killers, the possibilities of rehabilitation and a brief
introduction to concepts, classifications, characteristics and theories related to serial
killers. There are numerous studies, theories and debates that try to create a criminal
profile of serial killers, we will focus more on those carried out by Robert Kenneth
Ressler and his colleagues by FBI. The investigation of these cases is not an exact
science, there are multiple factors in the elaboration of a criminal profile, therefore it is
difficult to create a general pattern for all serial killers. So we can deduct that they have
more options for effective treatment of psychotic killers than psychopaths. Psychopathic
serial killers are aware of their crimes, than don’t no remorse or guilt, instead psychotic
serial killers act because of hallucinations and deliriums due to his illness. Most cases of
serial killers have found a history of family abuse, unstructured family, bullying and
