WHAT IS LENSMAN?

▸ Lensman is a location-based, mobile application where photographers are able to promote their business by creating free, customizable profiles and connect with potential clients to find work.

▸ The app is ideal for photographers looking to gain more experience through collaborations and other large scale projects as well.

▸ Clients (event planners, aspiring models, couples, etc.) will be able to look for talent within their area on a budget and/or a time crunch.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

‣ Photographers of all expertise, especially beginners, need a simple, free, and mobile way to bring in clientele and revenue, and even collaborate with one another.

‣ Why? - Going through multiple portals just to find work/get hands-on experience can be vague and sometimes

overwhelming.

- The hustling can be simplified!

THE COMPETITION

THE GOOD: GREAT UI, SMOOTH OPERATION, DETAILED PROFILES, RESPONSIVE

WEBSITE THE BAD/IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED:

ADDING A BUSINESS REQUIRES A FEE, NOT A NATIVE APP, SOME GESTURES ARE CONFUSING.

THE GOOD: A VARIETY OF ARTISTS CAN ADD A BUSINESS AND THERE IS NO LIMITATION

ON FINDING TALENT. THE BAD/IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED:

POOR UI, NO RESPONSIVE WEBSITE OR NATIVE APP, REQUIRES A FEE FOR BEST RESULTS, CREATING A PROFILE WAS CONFUSING, TOOK TOO LONG.

Majority of clients go by word of mouth and social media whether or not they are on a budget (all mobile).

Photographers provide their own resources (camera, lighting, etc.) and do rely on keeping up with clients.

Lack of collaborations between photographers

Freelance can be tough, constant hustling!

GOALS
