Características: La forma es muy semejante a una polea.Movimientos: flexión y extensión. Ejemplos: articulación humero-cubital, articulación femero-tibial.
ENCAJE RECÍPROCO – SILLA DE MONTAR
Características: una superficie articular va hacer cóncava y convexa y la otra la va a corresponder.Movimientos: flexión, extensión, aducción y abducción. ejemplos: art. trapecio-metacarpo y art. Cuñas-metatarso.

CONDILARTROSIS – ELIPSIODE
Características: Segmentos ovoides.Movimientos: flexión, extensión, aducción y abducción. Ejemplos: articulación humero-radial superior, art. Tibio-tarsiana (tobillo) y art. Radio-carpiana (muñeca).
ENARTROSIS - ESFERICACaracterísticas: Tienen segmentos de esferas.Movimientos: flexión, extensión, aducción, abducción, rotación interna y externa, y la combinación de todos la Circunducción. ejemplos: art. Escapulo-humeral y la art. Coxo-femoral.
