Dalgleish St Limehouse Company: MGL Architets
Details
The proposal was for entirely residential development of 60 units.
The applications was previously a mixed-use development.
The proposed residential development was to offer the appropriate
levels of both private and affordable housing units.
The Dalgleish Street proposal has a distinct ‘L’ shaped footprint
which is the result of the Commercial Road development being located to
the south and western boundary. The western side of the site is
open and the proposed layout creates an open courtyard
space with the surrounding buildings.

Project for a new waterfront in the city of Cagliari. New connections beetween the
harbour and the city, designof the public space, green areas, reor-ganization of the harbour with the new
marina and new structures.
Yacht Club is an iconic-landmark for the new Cagliari Marina for megayacht.
Located on the pier‘Molo Sanità’, has a curvilinear form
ispired by the pebbles shaped by the wash of the weaves over the centuries.
In the first level is situated the hall, a service room, a conference room for
200 people,a spa with swimming pool, a restaurant with cafe and the administration office.
Nautic center The project concerns the restructuring
of the harbour pier in Cagliari. The roof is like a square on the sea,
designed as a park, and allowsvisitors to have different point of view of
the city and the habour. The square with his green hills is
panoramic and provides a good view of Cagliari. Under the square
is located the Nautic center with shops, cafes, restaurant, administrator office
and meeting places. The integral continuity of the design
wants to convey the liveliness of the old city to the waterfront
This project establishes a new city attractor based on the proliferation of
experience.

From Water To Land (Scape)
Details
Our masterplan is primarily based on the theme of water, analysed in its
different forms, sea and river water, for a new landscape design. As far as the coast is concerned, the task is to give breathing space to the coastline
and protect settlements from potential consequences linked to climatic chang-es, as well as improve the quality of life
there. Our idea is to gradually reduce the significant number of buildings on
the sea front, as they create both a physical and visible barrier between the sea and the hinterland, over a period of between fifty and a hundred years. The
same strategy applies to rivers; areas have been identified where, should
flooding occur, houses and people will not be put in danger. Natural areas will
creep into residential areas by way of green corridors, thus exploiting open
spaces between houses. We have created a system of corridors along all
residential areas and along the main roads of communication, which as of
now do not exist. Some of these corri-dors reach the sea and havea precise
task to connect the coast to inland areas. The development of agricultural production is another important theme in our plan. In areas where agriculture
is still strong, fields have been selected in which public places can be created in order to promote agricultural production
and activity.exposition.
