Denominada por los árabes Al-Basit se encuentra situada en plena llanura manchega.
Es Albacete una ciudad moderna, limpia, dinámica, bulliciosa, salpi-cada de zonas verdes, donde el viajero podrá disfrutar de un paseo por sus calles peatonales, degustar en sus múltiples restaurantes su rica y variada gastronomía o disfrutar de una noche de fiesta. En Albacete encontrará el viajero una variada oferta cultural, teatros, mu-seos, exposiciones o deportes; destacamos: la Catedral de San Juan Bautista de concepción gótica con detalles de transición al barroco. El Antiguo Convento de la Encarnación, convertido en centro cultural de la Asunción, la Posada del Rosario que alberga la oficina de turis-mo, La Plaza de Toros que sirvió de modelo para la construcción de la de Madrid, el Teatro-Circo donde realizar tanto obras de teatro como espectáculos circenses, son múltiples los museos que se pueden visi-tar: el arqueológico provincial, el municipal, el de niño, el de la paz, o el de la cuchillería. Mención especial destacan: el recinto ferial donde los albaceteños celebran la feria de septiembre declarada de interés turístico Internacional y el Pasaje Lodares edificio emblemáti-co de la capital mezcla el comercio y la vivienda.
Albacete se sitúa como punto de partida de muy diferentes rutas: las sierras de Alcaraz y del Segura, el valle del Júcar y de Cabriel, los cas-tillos de Chinchilla, Almansa, Yeste, los llanos cubiertos de extensos viñedos o la visita a los Campos de Hellín.

Albacete is a modern, clean, dynamic, and bustling city, with many green areas, where the traveller will be able to enjoy a walk along pedestrian streets, try the rich and varied gastronomy in any of the many restaurants, or enjoy a night out. In Albacete the traveller will find a varied cultural offer, theatres, museums, exhibitions or sports events; of particular interest are: San Juan Cathedral, originally an example of Gothic architecture but with Baroque details. The old Covent of the Encarnación, now a cultural centre, la Posada del Rosario which houses the tourism office, the bull ring, which was used as a model for Las Ventas in Madrid, the Teatro Circo where many theatre plays and circus performances are held: There are many museums which can be visited: el Arqueológico Provincial (the provincial archaeological museum), el del niño (the children’s museum), de la Paz (the museum of peace) or de la Cuchilleria (the knife museum). A special mention must be given to: el Recinto Ferial (the fairground) where the people from Albacete meet and have a good time with their friends during the September Fair declared of International Tourist Interest and el Pasaje Lodares (the Lodares passage) an outstanding building, a mixture of busi-ness premises and homes.
Albacete is the starting point for several visits: the Sierras of Alcaraz and Segura, the Jucar and Cabriel Valley, the castle of Chinchilla, Almansa, Yeste, the plains covered with extensive vineyards or a visit to the fields of Hellin.

The route begins with a visit to the elegant main street that crosses the city from north to south with the Ranas Fountain as a starting point. It then takes us along the Paseo de la Libertad, Altozano Square and the so-called “wide” street which allows us to see the wonderful modernist buildings of Contemporary Albacete: Diputación Provincial, Museo Municipal, Gran Hotel, Colegio Notarial, Casas de Cabot, de Legorburo, Pasaje de Lodares, Cámara de Comercio, Instituto Bachiller Sahuco.
After walking across the Plaza Mayor we can visit the House of Perona, the Asuncion Cultural Centre and the Cathedral. We can go up the Calle de la Feria to see the Fair Mill, (a fountain representing two mills joined by a large water wheel), and the Plaza de Toros (called “flat”, it was built in 1917 in Neomudejar style). Then we can enjoy Los Jardinillos Park, the fairground (widely known as “la sartén” – the frying pan) and we can finish our tour in the Fiesta del Arbol Park which is the starting point of many roads.

La ruta nos invita a transitar por el elegante eje principal norte-sur de la ciudad tomando como punto de partida la Fuente de las Ranas, continuamos por el Paseo de la Libertad, la plaza del Altozano y la calle “ancha” para así contemplar los magníficos edificios modernistas del Albacete Contemporáneo: Diputación Provincial, Museo Municipal, Gran Hotel, Colegio Notarial, Casas de Cabot, de Legorburo, Pasaje de Lodares, Cámara de Comercio, Instituto Bachiller Sahuco.
Después de pasear por la Plaza Mayor muy cerca están la Casa de Perona, el Centro Cultural de la Asunción y la Catedral podemos ascender por la calle de la feria para contemplar el Molino de la Feria (fuente representando dos molinos unidos por una noria), la Plaza de Toros (llamada la “chata” fue construida en 1917 y es de estilo neomudéjar), continuar por el parque de los Jardinillos, el recinto ferial (conocido popularmente como ”la sartén”) y terminar en el parque de la fiesta del Árbol punto de partida de diversas rutas

Besides the many sports facilities ma-naged by the Municipal Sports Institute, Albacete has a tennis club, a Flying Club, a Clay Pigeon Shooting Club etc. though undoubtedly the most popular sporting ac-tivities are those at the race track, the golf course and the recently opened rambling routes.

and skid track for cars at the TAC driving school in the Albacete. These are provided for individuals as well as organised groups, companies or institutions.

Surcada por los ríos Júcar y Cabriel, La Manchuela es una comarca llena de contrastes que seduce al viajero por su riqueza paisajís-
tica y cultural. Situada en el extremo nororiental de la provincia de Albacete y al Sureste de Cuenca, sus señas de identidad proceden de un pasado remoto que ha dejado sus huellas a través de las civili-zaciones (íberos, árabes, romanos…) y los siglos: iglesias, castillos, murallas, blasones.

Atendiendo a sus dos vertientes, hay dos itinerarios de especial im-portancia, siguiendo el curso de los ríos: la Hoz del Júcar y el Valle del Cabriel. ■ ValdegangaEn esta población podemos realizar diversas activida-des como pueden ser: visitar la Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción. Disfrutar con las vistas de los miradores al río Júcar, practicar la pesca o coger el carril bici mas largo de la provincia que llega hasta Albacete (25 km).
■ JorqueraLa ciudad amurallada del Júcar. Auténtica villa medie-val rodeada de murallas almohádes del siglo XIII. La antigua “Xurquera” esta situada en una hoz formada por el discurrir meadrizante del río.
■ Alcalá del JúcarLa antigua “Al-Axara” árabe aúna belleza e historia ,está declarada conjunto histórico-artístico, y enclavada en un imponente farallón labrado en el sinuoso curso del río. De entre las innumerables cuevas que horadan su terreno y que pueden ser visitadas destacan las cuevas de Garadén, Masagó y la del Diablo. Pero sobre todo destaca el reconstruido castillo de origen árabe.

The Holy Week in Hellin and Tobarra, offers an extraordinary number of popular events, its impressive “tamboradas” have been declared of natio-nal tourist interest.

■ HellínCabeza de comarca conserva un impor-tante patrimonio cultural y natural. Su casco urbano comenzó en el SIX alrede-dor del castillo almohade desde donde surgen la multitud de callejuelas que dan paso a un importante patrimonio monu-mental y museístico.
Desde Hellín el visitante pude pude seguir por la A-30 y coger el desvío de Minateda para visitar el Tolmo de Minateda, fu-turo parque arqueológico de Castilla-La Mancha reúne en un solo lugar más de 2.500 años de antigüedad. Muy cerca se localizan las pinturas rupestres de Minateda, Declaradas Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

As the leading town of the area, it main-tains an important cultural and natural heritage. The town was started in the IX century, around the Almohad castle from which a number of small streets that lead to an important route of monu-ments and museums.
From Hellín, the visitor can follow the A-30 highway and take the turn to Minateda to visit the Tolmo of Minateda, future archeological park in Castilla-La Mancha, which brings together 2.500 years of antiquity in only one place. Minateda cave paintings, declared a World Heritage site, are located nearby.
Tobarra is only 6km from Hellín on the A-30 or N-301 highways.

En su centro urbano sobresale el Ayuntamiento del s. XVI y un buen número de casas blasona-das de los s. XVI al XVIII.
Merecen una visita la Iglesia de la Purísima (aquí se encuentra el Museo del Tambor y de la Semana Santa, único en Europa), y sobre-todo en lo más alto del pueblo El Santuario del Cristo de la Antigua y de la Encarnación monumento histórico-artístico con ricos arte-sanados mudéjares.
In the town centre, the XVI century City Council and a number of XVI to XVIII houses with their coat of arms are notworthy buildings.
Here two places deserve to be visited: the Holly Virgen Church (where the Drum and the Holy Week Museum, the only one in Europe, is loca-ted) and above all, in the highest area of town, the Cristo de la Antigua y la Encarnación a historical-artistic monument with rich Mudejar craftwork.

Although in the past the esparto grass arts and crafts movement in the Hellín countryside focused on the production of panniers, bas-kets and mats, today it is more famous for the production of traditional furniture in Hellín and flower pots and vases in Tobarra. There are also specialists in the production of mu-sical instruments such as the original drums from Hellín and Tobarra. The wines and rice with the Calasparra Denomination of Origin are also highly praised in the region.

In the area of La Mancha Júcar-Centre in the north of the province, every village has characteristic features from La Mancha as well as attractive
elements typical of the Júcar valley.
These features, the plains and river, make this area full of natural resour-ces which invite travellers to explore and discover it. The beauty of the La Mancha landscape is an almost perfect plain with an open and endless horizon Clay and limestone lands create the most valuable resource of the area: the underground waters. It is covered in fields of grapevines and cereals which have traditionally been the main resources.
In this area you can find towns such as Barrrax, La Gineta, Minaya, La Roda and Villarrobledo, where a calm visit is essential not only to find historical landmark but to experience a way of living where the rural at-mosphere is still alive.
A part of the Júcar valley opens out on the way to Villalgordo and down to Fuensanta, Montalvos and Tarazona de la Mancha to come into La Manchuela where the course of the river flows deeper and the valley gets narrower. Hunting is one of the oldest traditions. There are many hunting reserves, most of them belonging to hunting societies. We can find many stretches of land on the banks of the river to fish. The local river crab is, no doubt, the most attractive animal to fish.

This city is known for its important wine and cheese industry. Nevertheless it is part of the “wine paths” tour and it contains the greatest extension of vineyards in the world. It also stands as part of The Quixote Tour on its own right. We start our tour in “Plaza Vieja” or Main Square. An Interpretation Centre of Pottery and Jar-making has recently been opened.

Es muy atrayente el conjunto que for-man la Plaza Mayor; la primera con el Ayuntamiento con soportal sobre arcos de medio y de corridos y volados balcones, todos de madera; la segunda con el tem-plo parroquial de San Bartolomé, iglesia columnaria de origen renacentista.
The two monuments which give shape to the Plaza Mayor are both very attractive. The first is the Town Hall, which has a portico of semicircular arches with over-hanging, wooden balconies running the whole length of the building. The second is the Parish Church of San Bartolomé, a columned church of renaissance origin.
Maravilloso entorno donde el Júcar penetra en la provincia de Albacete cercano a las ruinas del Palacio de los Gosálvez, edificio declarado bien de interés cultural. En Villalgordo del Júcar destaca la Iglesia de Santa María Magdalena. A wonderful setting where the river Júcar enters the province of Albacete, near the Gosálvez Palace, which has been declared a Cultural Heritage Site. The Santa María Magdalena church is the most important monument in Villalgordo del Jucar. The Júcar riverbanks are an ideal place for fishing and active tourism including rambling, mountain biking and paintball.

Cuando nos acercamos a esta comarca, situada en el extremo sudeste de la provincia de Albacete, lo primero que llama nuestra atención es
su rico patrimonio arquitectónico, reflejo de una dilatada historia que ha ido dejando su huella en este territorio a lo largo de sus 10 municipios. Cuentan estos pueblos y ciudades con una importante herencia monu-mental, donde destacan Chinchilla y Almansa, con imponentes castillos, bellos cascos antiguos de trazado medieval y casonas blasonadas, que ilustran la relevancia de estas ciudades desde el medievo. Encontramos testigos de su riqueza arqueológica por todo el territorio, también hay que destacar en esta zona sus arraigadas y vistosas fiestas, como la Semana Santa de Chinchilla, y las fiestas de Moros y Cristianos de Caudete y Almansa, declaradas de Interés Turístico Regional.
Es también ésta una zona de contrastes geográficos, que cuenta con un paisaje singular donde alternan amplias llanuras salpicadas de cerros, espesas sierras y espacios lagunares de gran riqueza ecológica. Aparecen espacios de gran interés ecológico y belleza paisajistica, perfectos para la práctica del senderismo y el ciclo turismo. Entre Pozo Cañada, Pétrola y Corral Rubio encontramos varias lagunas saladas de origen endorrei-co, declaradas espacio protegido en el Plan de Conservación del Medio Natural de Castilla-La Mancha, este excepcional ecosistema es el refugio de numerosas aves acuáticas como el flamenco, el aguilucho lagunero o el pato colorado y muchas otras de carácter migratorio.
La comarca Monte Ibérico-Corredor de Almansa es poseedora asimis-mo de un rico patrimonio etnológico que pervive como parte de su más profunda identidad. Todo ello convierte a la comarca en un territorio lleno de diversidad que ofrece al visitante un mundo de posibilidades culturales, deportivas y gastronómicas.
As we approach this town, located in the south-east of the province of Albacete, the first thing that attracts our attention is its rich ar-
chaeological heritage, which reflects the lengthy history of the ten towns in the area. These towns are full of monuments. Perhaps Chinchilla and Almansa are the major attractions, with their imposing castles, beautiful old medieval quarters and large noblemen’s houses give an idea of the importance of these towns since the Middle Ages. Everywhere we evidence of the area’s archaeological riches. The long established festivities in the area are also a highlight, such as the Holy Week of Chinchilla and Moors and Christians festivals of Caudete and Almansa, declared of regional tourist interest.
This is also an area of geographic contrast. the unique landscape inclu-des wide plains full of hills, dense mountain ranges and areas with lakes of great ecological wealth. Molaton, one of the highest mountains in the province at 1,265m, can be found in Higueruela. There are areas of great ecological interest and beautiful views, ideal for hiking and cycling tours. Between Pozo Cañada, Petrola and Corral Rubio we find several salt lakes of endorreic origin, declared protected spaces in the plan for the conserva-tion of the environment of Castilla-La Mancha, this exceptional ecosystem is home to a great number of water birds such as flamingos, the lake falcon or the red duck and many others of migratory character.
The area of Monte Iberico-Corredor of Almansa also has a rich etnological heritage which survives as an essential part of its identity. All this makes this area a territory full of diversity which offers the visitor a whole world of cultural, sports and gastronomic possibilities.

Historical city, capital of the province in 1833, which still maintains old corners and monuments. At the top of the town you can see the castle. In the Main Square, there are two interesting buildings, one is Santa Maria del Salvador parish church and the other, the City Council. The visit to the “cave houses” is also very at-tractive.
The pottery tradition can be seen in the interesting National Museum of Pottery.
■ Chinchilla de MontearagónThe urban area surrounding the castle was de-clared a historical monument. The city extends at the foot of the proud Castle, the best preser-ved in the province, from which walking tours depart which include visits to the Palace of the Count of Cirat (The Mansion), or the Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
The stately facades are very interesting. During the War of Succession the famous “Battle of Almansa” took place here.
From here we take A-31 highway to Caudete.
■ AlmansaThis is the most eastern of our villages. It has a number of interesting monumental, natural and cultural features.
The most important monuments are the Church Square, the Villa quarter, the for-tress, St Catherine’s Church,the beauti-ful noble facades on the Calle Mayor and various museums.

Ciudad histórica, y capital de provincia en el año 1833, conserva rincones y monumentos. En lo alto, se alza el castillo. En la Plaza Mayor se encuentran dos edificios interesantes, uno es la iglesia parroquial de Santa María del Salvador. El espacio urbano que circunda el castillo esta declarado conjunto histórico. La ciudad se ex-tiende a los pies de su altivo Castillo, el mejor preservado de toda la provincia, de donde parte alguno de los itinerarios a pie para encontrar-nos con el Palacio de los Condes de Cirat (La Casa Grande), o la Iglesia de Nuestra Sra. de la Asunción.
Interesante son las fachadas solariegas Durante la guerra de Sucesión se libró la famosa “Batalla de Almansa”. Desde aquí nos dirigimos por la A-31 a Caudete.

The Sierra of Alcaraz and Fields of Montiel, in the south-east of the pro-vince, has always been a land where Andalusia, Levante and La Mancha
have met, “a land of encounters”. This land is a combination of contrasts where plains and mountains go together. Valleys and steep sierras join endless plains. This is a land watered by lively and turbulent rivers in their sources which grow peaceful as their course progresses, frequently for-ming wetlands. Huge natural resources spread from the `Calar´ of the Mundo river to the Lakes of Ruidera. Due to its location different civili-zations settled in this territory through the ages, that is why it is a good reference to travel through history, characterised by the people, craftwork and gastronomy.

A Medieval town also called City of the “Ten Doors”. It is known as “head of Extremadura and key to all Spain”. As a historical-artistic place, the most outstanding place is the XVI century Main Square area which has three mer-chant halls: The Corregidor (also known as Santo Domingo), the Ahorí (or City Council) in the north and The Regatería, in the west. Andrés de Vandelvira took part in the town’s design.
Next to the Santo Domingo Lonja, there is the beautiful tower of Tardón, which together with the tower of Trinidad, form the “twin towers”.
The Green Way of the Alcaraz Hills, 105 km long, is an eco-tour on the for-mer Baeza-Utiel railways.

We depart from Albacete taking the N-430 highway to Ossa de Montiel.
Ossa de MontielIn Ossa de Montiel, St Mary Magdalene Church and the “roll or pillory” are highlights. However, the most attractive spot in Ossa is the Lakes of Ruidera which cover an area of 25 km. They are joined together by waterfalls or under-ground connections.

Ciudad medieval también llamada de las “Diez Puertas”. Es conocida como “cabeza de Extremadura y llave de toda España”. Siendo toda ella un conjunto histórico-artístico, des-taca la obra extraordinaria del conjunto de la Plaza Mayor del s. XVI, en sus lados, las tres lonjas: la del Corregidor (llamada tam-bién de Santo Domingo), la del Ahorí (o del Ayuntamiento) al norte, y la de la Regateria, al oeste. Andrés de Vandelvira intervino en el proyecto urbanístico.
Junto a la lonja de Santo Domingo se alza la bella torre del Tardón, que junto a la de la Trinidad, constituyen “las torres gemelas”.
La Via Verde de la sierra de Alcaraz, de 105 km longitud se trata de un reco-rrido ecoturístico trazado sobre la que fuera línea férrea Baeza-Utiel.

Compras/ShoppingSe ha recuperado la elaboración artesanal de alfombras y de nava-jas en Alcaraz, continua la fabricación de botas de vino y produc-tos de marroquinería en Munera, el de alfombras y de trabajos en mimbre en Lezuza, el textil tradicional en Casas de Lazaro, o la fabricación de muñecos de trapo y cerámica, realizados en el Masegoso. En la industria agroalimentaria predomina la produc-ción de vino, queso, aceite de oliva, leche de oveja, carne de cerdo y caza.

Located in the south of Castilla-La Mancha, just on the border of Albacete with the provinces of Jaén, Granada and Murcia, the Sierra of

Far from the plains of La Mancha, the Sierra del Segura is one of the outs-tanding areas in the province of Albacete. The landscape is full of leafy glades, forests, deep valleys and above all, the murmur of water, because every village has a river or a stream. The Segura river, the Mundo river, the Tus, the Madera, the Zumeta, the Taibilla…All of this makes this area is one of the most highlights of the province, where `Los Chorros del Río Mundo´ and `La Cabaña de los Mojones´, stand out as special protected nature reserves. A distinctly beautiful landscape surrounds this mountain vi-llage which is in the most northern part of the Sierra del Segura.
The route starts in Elche de la Sierra. We take the CM-3203 and go through Vicorto on the way to Férez, the so-called “jewel of the mountains” situated in a beautiful setting bet-ween the river Segura and the Taibilla Canal.

■The original village, known as Old Riópar, let you vi-sit the XII century castle ruins and the Gothic Church of Our Lady of Sorrows. At the end, you can see one of the most beautiful landscapes of the country: the Birth of River Mundo.
In the middle of the great cut, the Los Chorros Cave appears. In this place, River Mundo crashes.
This spectacularly picturesque little town situated on the mountain slopes in the Segura valley, retains its medieval aspect. The medieval castle (the best conserved one in the region) the church and the museums are the highlight of any visit.
The surroundings of Nerpio are such that you can take in history and nature on the same visit. Inside the Cultural Park (a real open air museum), you can see the Cave Paintings of Solana de la Covachas, which have been de-clared a World Heritage Site.
There are other special places to visit in the township, such as the Vizcable Tower, the Taibilla Reservoir or the Pico de las Cabras.
We depart from Albacete taking the CM-3203 highway, and past the towns Peñas de San Pedro and Alcadozo, near Ayna, we turn right on CM-3216 highway to Bogarra.

AlbaceteUn paisaje de singular belleza rodea a esta pequeña población serrana que ocupa el lugar más septentrio-nal de la Sierra del Segura.
Iniciamos la ruta en Elche de la Sierra. Tomamos la CM-3203 atravesamos Vicorto con dirección a Férez, la denominada ”joya serrana”, situada en un bello en-torno entre el Segura y el Canal del Taibilla.
■ Paterna del Madera■
El pueblo original, conocido hoy como Riópar Viejo, permite visitar las ruinas del castillo del siglo XIII y la Iglesia gótica de la Virgen de los Dolores. En su térmi-no se encuentra uno de los paisajes más bellos, por su espectacularidad, del país: el Nacimiento del Río Mundo.
En el centro del gran cortado, aparece la cueva de Los Chorros, donde el río Mundo se precipita al vacío.
Espectacular y pintoresca población situada en el valle del rio Segura re-costada en las faldas de cerro presen-ta una fisonomía urbana medieval en donde destacael Castillo medieval, (el mejor conservado de la comarca) la iglesia y sus museos.
Los alrededores de Nerpio permiten conjuntar, en un mismo recorrido, los temas naturalísticos e históricos que, aquí, parecen ir de la mano.
Si nos adentrándonos en el Parque Cultural (un autentico museo al aire libre) las Pinturas Rupestres de la Solana de la Covachas decla-radas Patrimonio de la Humanidad. En su tér-mino municipal encontramos otros paraje sin-gulares como La Torre de Vizcable, el Pantano de Taibilla o el Pico de las Cabras.
Salimos de Albacete por la CM-3203, y pasadas las poblaciones de Peñas de San Pedro y Alcadozo, a poca distancia de Ayna, tomamos el desvío a la derecha por la CM 3216 hacia Bogarra. Bogarra

Esparto grass arts and crafts are a major attraction. In Riópar or in Letur they have specialised in the production of platforms, chests or large jars. There are creative ceramic artists: chess sets, dolls, ga-mes in Elche de la Sierra. Bronze and brass objects are produced in Riópar, stone and marble carved works in Letur or Elche de la Sierra. Essential oils are made in Yeste. Traditional looms are being used again in Nerpio. Agrifood products include sausages, oil, cheese, yoghurt, handmade cakes, lamb, goat’s meat and ecological jams.
Destaca en la artesanía del esparto. En Riópar o en Letur se han especia-lizado en la elaboración de tarimones, arcones o cantareras. Hay ceramis-tas creativos: ajedreces, muñecos, juegos en Elche de la Sierra. Destacan la elaboración de objetos de bronces en Riópar, el tallado de la piedra o el mármol en Letur o Elche de la Sierra. Tambien la elaboración de esencias en Yeste. O la recuperación del telar tradicional en Nerpio. En la industria agroalimentaria se puede comprar embutidos, aceite, quesos, yogures, Dulces artesanos. La provincia de Albacete es un referente de primer orden en caza y pes-ca. Las especies cinegéticas más destacadas encuentran en esta provin-cia un lugar ideal para criar y establecerse. El conjunto de su territorio ofrece el hábitat perfecto tanto para la caza menor de la perdiz roja, la paloma torcaz, el conejo de monte, la liebre, la codorniz, la tórtola, el zorzal o diversas aves acuáticas como para la caza mayor del jabalí, el corzo, el zorro, el gamo, el muflón, la cabra montés, o el ciervo. De to-das ellas, la perdiz roja, por sus características, es la reina de los campos albaceteños, y motivo más que justificado para unas jornadas de caza.
Los aficionados a este deporte encuentran una elevada densidad de per-diz roja en centro de la provincia y el Campo de Montiel. En dirección a las sierras de Alcaraz y del Segura su población se reduce, y es más fácil encontrar jabalí o macho montés. De las diferentes modalidades de caza posibles, en la provincia se puede practicar la caza menor en mano, en ojeo al paso, con perro, con reclamo macho, o la caza de liebres con galgo Por su parte en la caza mayor se puede practicar la montería, rececho, batida, en espera, caza con arco e incluso la cetreria. Durante los meses de invierno, es frecuente encontrar aficionados en los campos provinciales, dedicados a un milenario deporte para el que estas tierras son un escenario privilegiado.
The Province of Albacete is a first-class model in hunting and fishing. The most outstanding cynegetic species are in this province, a place to rear and settle down. Its territory offers the perfect habitat not only for minor hunting of red partridges, wood pigeons, wild rabbits, hares, quails, turtledoves, thrushes or different water species; but also for ma-jor hunting of boars, roes, bucks, mouflons, wild goats, or deers. Of all of them, the red partridge is the queen of the Albacete countryside and an extra justified reason to enjoy hunting days.
Hunters find a big population of red partridge in the centre of the provin-ce and Montiel Field. On the way to Alcaraz and River Segura Hills, this number is reduced, but it is easier to find boars or wild machos. Of all the different and possible ways of hunting, in the province you can prac-tise minor hunting at hand, at fast sight, with dog, with male redamo, or the hunting of turtledoves with galgo. On the other hand, in major hunting, you can practise monteria, stalking, whipped, bowhunting, and also hawking. During winter time, it is frequent to find fans in the province countryside, devoted to a millennial sport which is a privileged scenery in this land.

For this, we will enter health resorts or thermal stations, old Bath Houses-today converted into comfortable rural lodgings, and Spa Centres.

This installation has mineral-medicinal waters declared of public use. They are waters that have certain healing pro-perty because they contain certain mineral salts or because they conserve a determined temperature, or because they conjugate both characteristics. Besides, it should have me-dical service and equipment to carry out the technique pres-cribed.

Spanish courses for teenagers between 14 and 18, whose comple-mentary offer is related to culture and sports.
Spanish courses for adults, plus adventure sports.
“One to one courses”, plus activities depending on the interest or professional skill of the student.
Spanish courses aimed at teenagers between 14 and 18 and adults, offer:
A Spanish level test which will be carried out the first day to create groups with the same levels; small groups, (up to 12 students); trained Spanish native teachers; 3 hour daily lessons at University; use of new technologies to learn Spanish and student Achievement Certificate, for all students who attend the course. There is a pos-sibility, for those students who require it, to obtain a Guaranteed Certificate by the University of Castilla-La Mancha, passing an exam.
Complementary activities for the teenagers between 14 and 18:
-Indoor and outdoor sports in the city.
-Cultural activities in the city.
-Trips around the province.
-Trips to tourist areas and nearby towns and cities.
Complementary activities for adults
For this course, the adventure sports are the main activities: Non-engine flights, parachuting, hot air balloon flights, paragliding, and engine flying courses.
“One to one” courses:
This is a special course for businessmen, professionals and students whose main purpose is, in a short period of time, to improve their skills in Spanish. It takes place in the teacher’s house as it is the best way to focus the attention of the trained Spanish teacher all over the course.In addition, the students will be with teachers who are specialized in the specific subject they will have previously chosen when they signed up for the course. The options offered are: Castilla la Mancha wines; Saffron world; the oil world; the penknife world; Archeological route; Quijote route; the bullfighting world; the horse world and the agricultural world of “La Dehesa de los Llanos”.
Albacete offers a large number of Spanish courses together with a very attractive complementary tourist interest for each specific group
ACCOMMODATION
There are three accommodation options with Spanish families, carefully selected.The three options detailed below are full board.
Option 1.
Accommodation in three star “houses” in the city centre (usually flats). You have the chance of sharing the room with a member of the family. Shared bathroom. Public trans-port stops nearby. There will be the chance of sharing the accommodation with students from different nationalities.
Option 2.
Accommodation in four star “houses” in the city centre or residential area. One single room and shared bathroom. Public transport stops nearby. You will be offered the chance of sharing the accommodation with students from different nationalities.
Option 3.
Accommodation in five star “houses” in residential areas (outskirts of the city). One single room and optional private bathroom. Private transport to University. There will be only one student per family.
