The tables in this Service Bulletin list Alarm andShutdown setpoints by engine series for variousengine operation parameters. These values can be
used as a guide when designing engine protection ormonitoring systems.
The alarm values shown are suggested values; theycan be changed to suit a specific application or mea-
surement device. By using controls that simulta-neously shut off the fuel supply and ignition system
upon reaching a shutdown value, the potential forengine damage is reduced.
Alarm and shutdown
values indicate devia-
tion from designed operation and are not meant
for continuous engine service. Engine and control
systems must be designed to and operated at nor-
mal values. Disregarding this information could
result in product damage and/or personal injury.
Alarm and shutdown values are based on using natural gas of 900 BTU/cu.ft. (35.38 MJ[25,V(0;101.325)]) Saturated Lower Heating Va
(SLHV) as fuel. Refer to the Gaseous Fuel Speciftion for Waukesha Enginesstandard sheet, S-788
or latest version, and the Lubricating Oil Recommdations for Waukesha Engines standard sh
S-1015-29 or latest version, for typical changesoperating temperatures for jacket water and lubewhen running on landfill or digester gas fuels.
