ACTIV8 VPS is a single solution system with the potential to drastically alter commercialdeliveries worldwide.

The system, using FLEETM8 technology, enables the reservation of a Virtual Parking Bay

for a set period of time within previously restricted areas for all members complying

with agreed protocols such as those adhered to by members of Transport for Londons

Freight Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS).

Management Systems

The Management Systems enable access to the amalgamated ACTIVE8 VPS andFLEETM8 system and allows clients to book a Virtual Parking Bay (VPB) for pickups or

deliveries. An additional feature can also be the granting of real-time site specific

exemptions for utility companies carrying out emergency or repair work.

There are three levels of access to the ACTIVE8 VPS system:

- Restricted System

- Company System

- Depot System

There is also a fourth PDA System, however this is used to provide the driver with

GPS/VPB and Client/Delivery data only and is a separate application to be used withinthe vehicle.

Restricted System

The Restricted System is not released to any client and can only be accessed by the

following:

- Police/Security Services

- CCTV Operators- FLEETM8 Personnel

This system allows for:

- Complete overview of all clients, depots and vehicle data (can be interrogated)

- Complete overview of all Virtual Parking Bays (with integrated CCTV)

- Complete overview of customer/delivery details

- Access to all GPS data and movement history for every tracked vehicle

Company System

The Company System is released to the client upon installation of tracking devices and is

designed for use within corporate environments for placing bookings and monitoring

depots, rather than within the dispatch centres themselves.


- Complete overview of all depots and driver/vehicle data (relative to client)

- Complete overview of all Virtual Parking Bays (without integrated CCTV)

- Complete overview of customer/delivery details (relative to client)

Depot System

The Depot System is issued to each dispatch centre under the operation of the client and

has been designed to be a complete fleet management system, linking into existing

delivery systems and integrating FLEETM8 tracking technology, overlaid with the ACTIVE8

VSP system and booking form.

- Complete overview of all Virtual Parking Bays (without integrated CCTV)

- Complete overview of customer/delivery details (through existing client

database)

PDASystem

Each vehicle is fitted with a PDA device running the ACTIV8 VPS PDA System. This

requires a driver login to access.


- Delivery specific GPS route data including VPB overlay

- Integrated camera gives real-time feed of VPB as the driver approaches

- Restricted overview of customer/delivery details (through existing client

database)

- Emergency function (upon selection, a instant alert is sent to depot, company

and FLEETM8 systems providing driver, load and location details. Potential

uses include breakdown, fire, or a threat to the safety of the driver)

- Geofencing tied into the route data activates the client contact process as the

driver approaches the VPB or other specified destination.

Booking Form

The Booking Form is integrated into the database at a core level, and can be accessed byboth the company and depots (assuming individual has access via their login) through the

ACTIV8 VPS Management System.

This form can only be used to arrange deliveries for vehicles fitted with FLEETM8 tracking

devices (or telemetry providing sub-metre accuracy and per second updates).
