Tutto ha avuto inizio verso il 1950, Antonio Lupi aveva 18 anni ed in un piccololocale a Fucecchio, iniziava a gettare le basi di unattivit completamentenuova per il comprensorio industriale del Val dArno: la lavorazione dellalastra di cristallo per larredamento. Dominava in zona lindustria conciariae calzaturiera e non esistevano maestranze qualicate per questo tipo dilavorazioni, le banche avevano scarsa ducia in un Azienda di carattereancora artigianale e quindi con basso livello produttivo e una retecommerciale tutta da sviluppare. Antonio Lupi e le sue maestranze, cheormai si erano formate professionalmente, resistettero ai momenti difcilicon caparbiet. Antonio era convinto che il tempo gli avrebbe dato ragione.Finalmente gli accessori in cristallo divennero di gran moda e si imposerosul mercato, Antonio cap subito che stava iniziando un trend positivo esenza perder tempo orient immediatamente lazienda verso la produzionedei primi specchi artistici, dei lampadari, delle appliques, delle mensole.La bellezza e la modernit del prodotto, unite ad una fabbricazione dialto livello e grande cura dei dettagli, imposero subito la Lupi sul mercato.Nacque velocemente il bisogno di ampliare la piccola Azienda. Nelfrattempo Antonio aveva messo su famiglia, nellottobre del 1957 si erasposato con Mara ed erano nati i primi tre gli, Nello, Andrea e Patrizia:Sergio il pi piccolo, nascer un po danni dopo.

Nel 1969 sorse lattuale stabilimento, dotato dei macchinari pi modernie sosticati per la lavorazione del cristallo, su una supercie di mezzoettaro. Fu un passaggio, necessario e rischioso al tempo stesso, da unadimensione ancora artigianale a quella industriale: non era pi sufcientepartecipare alle Fiere pi importanti come quella di Bari, di Milano o diParigi, occorreva creare mostre permanenti sia in Italia che allestero, creareliali e agenzie di rappresentanza, assumere personale qualicato, produrredi pi e mantenere al tempo stesso qualit e caratteristiche artigianali del

prodotto. Furono anni importanti, di grandi mutamenti, il prodotto si evolve,la Lupi copre negli anni 70 lintera accessoristica per il bagno, accappatoicompresi.

Negli anni 80, i gli entrano in Azienda, c una svolta decisa verso il designe la collaborazione con architetti, artisti e designer prestigiosi, la stanza dabagno cambia e la Lupi divenuta Antonio Lupi in omaggio al fondatore,precorre i tempi e propone un nuovo modo di concepire il bagno. Una sceltavincente che la porter, prima azienda italiana del settore a partecipare alSalone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano del 2000 nel padiglione dedicatoal Design. La famiglia si allargata, sono nati i nipoti, Jonathan, Silvia,Giorgia, Melissa, Aurora e Flavio.

Nel 2007 ad un anno dalla scomparsa di Antonio e di Mara, stato rivisitatoil logo aziendale citando la graca del marchio originario, il 2008 ha vistolinaugurazione dello showroom di Milano a cui sono seguiti in rapidasuccessione Perth, Chicago, Vienna, Miami e Monaco, continuando unapolitica fatta di cura ed attenzione dei particolari, di proposte innovative,

della introduzione di nuovi elementi nellambiente bagno, di estremasartorialit, di ordini evasi con celerit e precisione. Grande attenzione vieneposta anche a seguire levoluzione del design, sponsorizzando concorsi emanifestazioni dedicate ai giovani talenti e producendone i progetti piinteressanti.

VERSATILITY OF INSTALLATION:Extraction by natural or forced convection - By applying a CONVECTIVE MANTLE (optional) to the outside of the unit, the hot air produced by the fireis conveyed to the outlets at the top of the mantle, from where it can be distributed to the various rooms through flexible aluminium pipes installed fopurpose. The air can be distributed by NATURAL VENTILATION or by FORCED VENTILATION installing a heat extractor.
