    INTRODUCCIN

    !Como ya se viene haciendo aos anteriores, la distribucin de niveles socioeconmicos de APEIM es calculada

    en base a la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares (ENAHO) que realiza el INEI para elaborar los indicadores de

    pobreza. Es importante seguir trabajando con esta base de datos, pues nos permite tener informacin de niveles

    socioeconmicos para todo el pas y para cada uno de los departamentos que los conforma.

    !Debido a que la encuesta es publicada en su totalidad a mediados de ao, APEIM ha decidido dar a conocer la

    distribucin de niveles socioeconmicos tambin a mediados de aos.! Tanto la distribucin, como la frmula de NSE es utilizada por todos los miembros de APEIM para sus estudios

    lo que permite la comparabilidad de sus datos.

    DEFINICIONES DE INTERS

    !

    Se define como hogar, al conjunto de personas que ocupan en su totalidad o en parte una vivienda, comparten las

    comidas principales y atienden en comn otras necesidades vitales.

    ! Se define como jefe de hogar a aquella persona, hombre o mujer, de 15 aos a ms, que aporta ms

    econmicamente en el hogar o toma las decisiones financieras de la familia, y vive en el hogar.

    !El ama de casa es definida como la persona de 15 aos o ms, hombre o mujer, que toma las decisiones cotidianas

    de compra para la administracin del hogar.

    !

    El nivel socioeconmico de una persona u hogar no se define a partir de sus ingresos sino en funcin a un grupo

    de variables definidas a partir de estudios realizados por APEIM.

    MUESTRA Y DISEO MUESTRAL

    !El INEI recoge informacin para la ENAHO de manera trimestral, siendo al ao cuatro trimestres, teniendo

    aproximadamente para mediados del ao informacin consolidada de los cuatros trimestres, con su respectivosfactores de expansin para hogares y poblacin.

    !La muestra es del tipo probabilstica, de reas, estratificada, multietpica e independiente en cada departamento

    de estudio. En el caso de Lima se obtuvieron muestras representativas para la totalidad del departamento y para

    Lima Metropolitana.

    !

    El margen de error del total es 0.5 %.con un nivel de confianza del 95% y una mxima dispersin (p=q=0.5).

    !Considerando que la muestra tena una distribucin desproporcionada, APEIM decidi aplicar un factor de

    expansin que permita tener resultados que guarden coherencia con estudios anteriores. Los criterios de

    expansin utilizados fueron: distribucin de hogares y personas por departamento y rea, segn Enaho 2012.

    Dentro de Lima Metropolitana se pondera adems por zona APEIM.
