L'Estartit Som Tots (LEST) iniciem ambaquest butllet el cam cap
a les eleccionsmunicipals del prxim 22 de maig, la cita msimportant
que marcar els futurs quatre anysdel nostre poble. Esperem que
confieu ennosaltres per ser ms forts a l'Ajuntament deTorroella de
Montgr. Com tots sabeu, LESTs un par tit nou que l'nic objectiu que
t s el
de lluitar pels interessos de l'Estartit amb laintenci de sumar
el mxim nombre de vens,superant les diferncies que hi ha
hagutanteriorment. Estem compromesos ambl'Estartit.
Al grup tenim cares conegudes i d'altres notant, gent amb
experincia en la polticamunicipal i d'altres que ara comencen;
pertots coincidim en una cosa: l'Estartit no rutllaamb l'equip de
govern que hi ha a l'Ajuntamentde Torroella (UPM i ERC), no hi
podem confiardesprs de dos anys amb 0 euros d'inversi al
nostre poble ni desprs que a la campanyaelectoral del 2007
prometessin l'EntitatMunicipal Descentralitzada i,
posteriorment,s'escudessin en mentides per no tramitar-la.Ja en
tenim prou de mentides! I, per evitar-ho,hem de fer valdre el pes
del nostre poble a lesurnes aquest 22 de maig amb la llista
unitriaque s LEST.
El partit s'ha creat desprs de diversesreunions obertes a tothom
i ara s'esttreballant en la confecci de la llista. Demoment, ja
coneixem la nova cap de llista, la
Slvia Comas, que es presenta aqu en unapetita entrevista.
L'Estartit Som Tots (LEstartit Somos Todos)(LEST) iniciamos, con
este boletn, el caminohacia las elecciones municipales del prximo
22de mayo, la cita ms importante que marcarlos prximos cuatro aos
de nuestro pueblo.Deseamos que confiis en nosotros para serms
fuertes en el Ayuntamiento de Torroella deMontgr. Como todos
sabeis, LEST es un
partido nuevo cuyo nico objetivo es luchar porlos intereses de
lEstartit con la intencin desumar el mayor nmero de vecinos,
superandolas diferencias que han existido anteriormente.Estamos
comprometidos con lEstartit.
En el grupo tenemos caras conocidas entreotras que menos, gente
con experincia en lapoltica municipal y otros que ahora
empiezan;pero coincidimos todos en una cosa: lEstartitno funciona
con el equipo de gobierno que hayen el Ayuntamiento de Torroella
(UPM y ERC),no podemos confiar con ellos despus de dos
aos con 0 euros de inversin en nuestropueblo ni despus que en la
campaa electoraldel 2007 prometieran la Entidad
MunicipalDescentralizada y, posteriormente, seampararan en mentiras
para no tramitarla. Bastaya de mentiras! Y para evitarlo debemos
hacervaler el peso de nuestro pueblo en las urnas este22 de mayo
con la lista unitria que es LEST.
El partido se ha creado despus de variasreuniones abiertas a
todos y ahora se esttrabajando en la confeccin de la lista.

For L'Estar tit Som Tots (LEST) this newslettermarks the star t
of our journey on the way to themunicipal elections on the 22nd of
May, this isthe most important date in the next four yearsof this
town. We hope that you will trust in us toprovide greater influence
in the Town Councilof Torroella de Montgr. As you may know, theLEST
is a new party which has the sole aim of
fighting for the interests of L'Estartit with themaximum number
of local residents andovercoming the differences of the past. We
arecommitted to L'Estar tit.
There are familiar faces in the group andothers who are not so
well-known, people withexperience in municipal politics and
otherswho have just begun; however, we all agree onone thing:
L'Estartit is not moving ahead withthe current council of Torroella
(the UPM andERC parties), and we no longer trust themafter 2 years
and 0 euros of investment in our
town, nor after the 2007 electoral campaign inwhich the Decent
ra l i sed Munic ipa lOrganisation (the EMD) was promised, yetlater
they hid behind lies to avoid enacting thepertinent legislation. We
have had enough oflies! To avoid them we have to make the voiceof
our town heard at the polls on the 22nd ofMarch, with the united
members of the LEST.
The party was created after various meetingswhich were open to
everyone and we aredrafting our list of candidates. At the time
ofwriting, the head of the party list is Slvia
Comas, who is presented here in a briefinterview.

Qu s el que t'ha portat a involucrar- te en
la poltica municipal?
Si b sempre he estat interessada pelstemes municipals, fins fa
poc m'ho mirava
des d'un segon pla. Al proposar-se unprojecte nou com s L'EST i
veient la situacique viu l'Estar tit a dia d'avui, em sembla quecal
gent nova i amb empenta que vulguiimplicar-s'hi activament. Costa
prendreaquesta decisi perqu saps que hi haursde dedicar moltes
hores, per sento que empuc comprometre amb el poble els propers
4anys i que era el meu moment per fer un pasendavant.
Entres amb pas ferm, directament al
capdavant de la llista. Com te sents?
Em sento b i molt segura, i qui no s'hi sentiriaamb un equip com
el que tenim?!! Hi ha gentjove i no tant jove, amb experincia.
Tenimcoses bones de tots els col.lectius, i aix esnota a l'hora de
treballar ja que la idead'aquest projecte s aconseguir entre
totscopsar les necessitats reals del nostre poblei, si el poble ens
dna la confiana, conver tir-les en fets.
Ens podries definir breument qu s LEST?LEST s un nou parti t
poltic que s'ha creat al'Estartit amb gent de diferents
sensibilitats
poltiques per intentar anar tots junts i fer-nosforts a
l'Estartit per ser decisius a Torroella.
Nascuda a lEstartit. Amb 26 anys estacabant la carrera de dret,
que combina ambla feina de subdirectora en un camping del'Estartit.
Tamb li agrada viatjar perconixer cultures noves i s la
primeracandidata de L'Estartit Som Tots.
Nacida en lEstartit. Con 26 aos estaterminando la carrera de
derecho, quecobina con el trabajo de subdirectora en uncmping de
lEstartit. Tambin le gustaviajar para conocer culturas nuevas y es
lacandidata nmero uno de LEstar tit Som Tots.
Slvia Comas is 26 years old and has beenliving in L'Estartit all
her life. She is finishingher law degree, which she is combining
withher job as Assistant Manager at a campsite inL'Estartit. She
likes travelling and isinterested in other cultures. She is the
firstcandidate for the party L'Estartit Som Tots.
Que te ha llevado a involucrarte en la poltica
municipal?
Si mi inters siempre ha existido por los temasmunicipales, hasta
hace poco, mi punto de vista
estaba hecho desde un segundo plano. Alproponerse un proyecto
nuevo como LEST yviendo la situacin que vive lEstartit hoy en
dia,parece que se necesita gente nueva y con ganasde implicarse
activamente. Cuesta tomar estadecisin porqu sabes que debers
dedicarmuchas horas, pero siento que puedocomprometerme con el
pueblo los prximos 4aos y que era mi momento para dar un pasohacia
adelante.
Entras con paso firme, directamente delante
de la lista. Como te sientes?
Me siento bin y muy segura, quin no sesentiria as con un equipo
como el quetenemos?!! Hay gente joven y no tan joven,
conexperincia. Tenemos cosas buenas de todoslos colectivos, y eso
se nota en el momento detrabajar ya que la idea de este proyecto
esconseguir entre todos captar las necesidadesreales de nuestro
pueblo y, si este nos da suconfianza, convertirlas en hechos.
Podrias definir brevemente que es LEST?
LEST es un nuevo partido poltico que se hacreado en lEstartit
con gente de diferentes
sensibilidades polticas para intentar ir todosjuntos y hacernos
fuertes para ser decisivos en
Why did you get involved with municipal
politics?
I have always been interested in municipalconcerns, until
recently however I was
watching from a distance. On the creation ofthis new project
with the LEST and seeingthe situation which L'Estartit is
sufferingtoday, I think new people are needed withinitiative who
want to get actively involved. Itis difficult to take this decision
as I know thatit takes up a lot of time, but I feel that I
cancommit myself to the town for the next fouryears and that it was
the moment for me totake a step forwards.
You have made quite an entrance as you have
gone directly to the top of the list, how do you
feel?I feel okay and I am confident, I think anyonewould be
confident with the team we have! Thereare the young and the not so
young, and all withexperience. We have good aspects from all
thegroups and this is something you notice whenworking, as the idea
of this project is to ensurethat we attain what this town really
needs and ifthe town supports us, conver t them into facts.
Could you sum up briefly what the LEST is?
The LEST is a new political party which hasbeen created in
L'Estartit with people from

El mateix nom ho diu: L'Estartit Som Tots.Treballant junts
aconseguirem que el nostrepoble sigui un bon lloc per viure i
perestiuejar!
Quins sn els grans reptes del partit?
El ms important a dia d'avui s aconseguiranar tots junts, i sc
optimista, hi ha molta gentnova que s'hi est implicant. Un cop
aconseguitaix, de cares a la campanya, l'EMD s elnostre objectiu
principal. No s un secret lasituaci actual, el potencial del
ConsellMunicipal depen de les avinences ambl'ajuntament, i s
necessari que aconseguimuna descentralitzaci poltica, econmica
iadministrativa. L'altre gran repte per nosaltress el dia a dia,
tenir un poble net i amb unmanteniment constant. Som un poble
turstic,si, per som ms de 3.000 persones els que hivivim tot l'any,
i volem gaudir de l'Estartit tant a
l'estiu com a l'hivern.
Per qu LEST aposta per l'Entitat
Municipal Descentralitzada a l'Estartit?
L'ordenament jurdic ofereix aquestapossibili tat als municipis
que, com el nostre,tenen dos nuclis de poblaci separats idiferents.
s una manera d'aconseguir quecada nucli pugui prendre les seves
prpiesdecisions en mbits concrets i tingui el seupressupost per
inversions. Mentre es tramital'EMD, cal un desenvolupament efectiu
delConsell Municipal, amb el personal
necessari per gestionar les competnciesque ja t i el pressupost
adient per donarl'atenci necessria als vens.La inversi a l'Estartit
fa dos anys que s
nulla . A ms de l'EMD, quins sn els grans
projectes que hem d'aconseguir al poble? I
quines mancances tenim?
Cal reivindicar les inversions necessariesper el nostre poble.
Desprs de ms de 30anys d'ajuntaments democrtics a l'Estartitencara
estem fent els serveis bsicsd'inversions en carrers, xarxa d'aigua
i
d e s a i g a , c o s a q u e m o l t s a l t r e sajuntaments
ja han solucionat. Aix, elproper mandat ha de ser el dels
serveispblics que t qualsevol poble . Per aix caltenir una nova
escola Bressol per atendrecorrectament els nens, un nou CAP
perdonar servei a vens i visitants. Unsequipaments culturals
addients amb lacompra del Freu i la construcci d'un nouedifici per
la gent gran i per les entitats del'Estar tit. No s'ha d'oblidar la
millora de lesinstal. lacions esportives per atendrecorrectament
els clubs que en fan s ni el
manteniment de les instal.lacions i serveisque sn competencia
municipal.
Torroella. El mismo nombre lo dice: LEstartitSom Tots (lEstartit
somos todos). Trabajandojuntos conseguiremos que nuestro pueblo
seaun buen sitio para vivir y veranear!
Cuales son los grandes retos del partido?
Lo ms importante ahora es conseguir ir todosjuntos, y soy
optimista, hay mucha gente jovenque se est implicando. Una vez
logrado esto,en nuestra campaa, lEMD es nuestro objetivoprincipal.
No es un secreto la situacin actual, elpotencial del Consejo
Municipal depende de losacuerdos con el ayuntamiento, y es
necesarioque consigamos una descentralizacin poltica,econmica y
administrativa. El otro gran retopara nosotros es el dia a dia,
tener un pueblolimpio y con un mantenimiento constante.Somos un
pueblo turstico, si, pero somos msde 3.000 personas las que vivimos
todo el aoen lEstartit, y queremos disfrutar de lEstartit,
tanto en verano coo en invierno.
Porqu LEST apuesta por la Entidad
Municipal Descentralizada en lEstartit?
El ordenamiento jurdico ofrece estaposibilidad a municipios que,
como el nuestro,tienen dos nucleos de poblacin separados
ydiferentes. Es una manera de lograr que cadancleo pueda tomar sus
propias decisiones enmbitos concretos y tenga su prpiopresupuesto
para inversiones. Mientras setramita la EMD, hace falta un
desarrolloefectivo del Consejo Municipal, con el personal
necesario para gestionar las competnciasque ya tiene y el
presupuesto decuado paraprocurar la atencin necesria a los
vecinos.
La inversin en lEstartit hace dos aos que
es nula. Adems de la EMD, cuales son los
grandes proyectos que debemos conseguir
en el pueblo? Y que necesidades tenemos?
Hay que reivindicar las inversiones necesariaspara nuestro
pueblo. Despus de ms de 30aos de ayuntamientos democrticos
enlEstartit todavia estamos haciendo losservicios bsicos de
inversiones en calles, red
de agua y desages, cosa que muchos otrosayuntamientos ya han
solucionado. As, elprximo mandato debe ser el de los
serviciospblicos que tiene cualquier pueblo. Por esodebemos tener
una nueva guarderia paraatender correctamente a los nios, un
uevoCAP para prestar servicio a vecinos y visitantes.Unos
equipamientos culturales apropiados conla compra del Freu y la
contruccin de un nuevoedificio para la gente mayor y las entidades
delEstartit. No debemos olvidar la mejora de lasinstalaciones
deportivas para atendercorrectamente los clubs que las utilizan ni
el
mantenimiento de las instalaciones y serviciosque son
competencia municipal.

What are the main challenges facing the party?
The most important today is that of movingtogether and I am
optimistic, as there are manynew people who are becoming involved.
Once wehave achieved this and with respect to thecampaign, the EMD
will be our main objective.The current situation is no secret, the
power of thegoverning council depends on compromises withthe
council as a whole and we need to achievepolitical, economic and
administrativedecentralisation. The other important challenge
isthat of the day to day, keeping the town clean withconstant
maintenance. We are a holiday town, butthere are also more than
three thousand peoplewho live here all year round and we want to
enjoy
L'Estartit in both the summer and the winter.
Why is the LEST calling for Decentralised
Municipal Organisation in L'Estartit?
Legal regulations offer this possibility to thosemunicipalities
which, like our own have twoseparate and different population
centres. It is away of ensuring that each town takes its
owndecisions in specific areas and that each areahas its budget for
investment. While the EMD isin the process of application, the
effective actionof the municipal council is needed with the
staffnecessary for managing areas of responsibility
which it already has and the additional budget forproviding
necessary services to local resident.
Over the last two years investment in L'Estartit
has been zero. In addition to the EMD, what
are the main projects which we have to
undertake for the town? What do we need?
We need to demand the investmentsnecessary for our town. After
more than 30years of democratic town councils inL'Estartit we are
still stuck with basic servicesin terms of investments in roads,
the watermains and drainage, which are themes which
many other councils have already solved.During the next term of
office the mandatemust be to offer the public services of anormal
town. We need a new kindergarten forchild care, a new local medical
attentioncentre to provide services for local residentsand
visitors. Additional cultural facilities withthe purchase of the El
Freu building and theconstruction of a new building for the
elderlyand for local organisations in the town - not tomention the
improvement of sporting facilitiesin order to provide the clubs
which use themwith decent conditions, and the maintenance
of the facilities and services which are theresponsibility of
the municipal area.
