The NFZ3000 is a range o modular reverse air cleaned tubular bag lters de-signed or continuous operation. They are suitable or outdoor and indoor lo-cation and incorporate telescopic legs to suit various discharge heights andoptions. Versions are available or positive or negative pressure operation. The

range has been independently tested to gain ATEX certication . All NFZ3000units are suitable or handling lightweight bulky materials such as woodwasteand paper dust.

NFKZ3000 is tted with a chain conveyor in the hopper to discharge waste toone end via a rotary valve, making it suitable or handling large airow volumeswith high concentrations o waste. It is available in one width only, but variouslengths according to the number o modules.

How NFKZ works

Normal operation

1. During normal operation the dust laden airrom the plant travels down the supply duct 1 .

2. The dirty air then enters the lter 2 .

3. As the dust laden air enters the inlet section othe lter 1 , the air decelerates and heavierdust and shavings settle on the hopper oor 3 .

4. The heavier dust and shavings collected on thehopper oor are conveyed to the discharge end11 o the lter by the scrapers on the chainconveyor 8 .

5. At the discharge end o the lter, the dust isremoved 11 .

6. The remaining dust then travels up into theinside o the lter bags . Each lter module 1 has 25 lter bags.

7. The air, which originated rom the plant, is nowclean and passes through the lter bag andout the exhaust port 7 .

While cleaning

1. The lter cleans the bags during operation(on-line cleaning) and when the unit is shutdown (o-line cleaning). The o-line cleaningperiod starts ater the COMBIFAB an has

stopped rotating.

2. A PLC controller in the electrical panel regulatesthe cycle o the reverse air regeneration an. 7 The regeneration an shakes the lter bags causing the dust cake, which hangs on theinside o the lter bag, to all into the hoppersection 3 .

3. Any dust that remains on the inside o the lterbag ater the initial shake is removed by theairow 1 generated by the regeneration an.

4. The dust that is removed during the cleaningcycle alls on the oor o the hopper 3 , and isthen transported to the discharge section o thelter 11 by the chain conveyor 8 .

FS at bag lters

Description

The FS is a range o modular reverse air cleaned horizontal at bag (or"cassette") lters designed or continuous operation in heavy duty ap-plications. It has a downow design, dirty gas entering via an inlet hoodat high level, passing downwards across the horizontal bags where thedust is separated rom the gas. Most o the dust then drops into the hop-per. The cleaned gas passes through the bags, on the surace o which alter cake is deposited, then into the clean gas chamber rom where it isextracted at low level.

Cleaning is eected by a cleaning air an whose exible outlet duct isconnected to a movable cleaning carriage. A quick acting valve allows apulse o cleaning air to be injected into each row o bags in turn, whilst

adjacent rows are shielded to take them o line. This eature greatly en-hances the cleaning eciency, allowing the lter to operate normallywhilst cleaning progresses. Operation o the cleaning mechanism is pro-grammable according to requirements.

FD at bag lter

Description

The FD is a range o modular reverse jet cleaned horizontal at bag (or "cas-sette") lters designed or continuous operation in heavy duty applications.Based closely upon the FS, the FD eatures a downow design, dirty gas ente-ring via an inlet hood at high level, passing downwards across the horizontalbags where the dust is separated rom the gas. Most o the dust then dropsinto the hopper. The cleaned gas passes through the bags, upon the surace owhich a lter cake is deposited, then into the clean gas chamber rom where itis extracted at low level.

Reverse jet cleaning is eected by separate diaphragm valves xed aboveeach vertical row o lter bags, supplied by a distribution maniold horizontally

mounted at high level. A pulse o cleaning air is injected via a vertical jet tubeinto each row o bags in turn. Operation o the cleaning mechanism is program-mable according to requirements. The FD is a reverse jet cleaned alternative tothe FS reverse air lter, particularly useul where the higher quantity o cleaningair injected by the FS could adversely aect the process gas conditions.

DescriptionThe Rotosorp process enables hydrated lime to used in the most e-cient and economic manner or SOx reduction. Hydrated lime is rstinjected into the dirty gas, as it enters the reactor. Humidied hydratedlime mixed with some collected particulate matter, is ed separately into

a mixing rotor situated within the reaction chamber, where it is thorou-ghly mixed with the dirty gas and injected lime.

The resulting mixture then passes through a pre-separation chamberrom where a proportion o the particulate matter is discharged via a ro-tary valve into the recirculation conveyor and then back into the reactor.The dirty gas passes into the lter unit and particulate rom this is dis-charged by means o a screw conveyor. Depending upon the status othe operation, material is either discharged to waste or recirculated via atwin shat mixer into which water or humidication is added. The quan-tity o water added is adjusted according to the waste gas temperature.

Humidication enhances the eectiveness o the lime to absorb acidgases, by surrounding the particles with a ne lm o evaporating liquid,whilst recirculation enables the maximum use to be made o the lime.Separation rates up to approximately 98% are possible.

Cyclopac / Cyclopex are cyclonic reverse jet cleaned tubular bag lters designedor continuous operation with high dust loadings, suitable or outdoor location.The cyclonic pre-separation together with the patented inner core design enablevery high ltration eciency as most o the waste does not reach the lter bags.

The lighter dust load on the lter bags reduces the dierential pressure duringnormal operation. whilst prolonging lter bag lie. ATEX certied Dantherm ex-plosion panels enable the units to handle potentially explosive dusts.

Although originally used or dust and chip extraction in wood based manuactu-ring industries, Cyclopac and Cyclopex are ideally suited to many other high dustvolume applications in industries such as agricultural, ood and eed.

.during normal operation

1. During normal operation, the dust laden airrom the plant enters via the inlet. 1

2. A vertical slotted bafe 2 separates the inletsection that slows the airstream and directsdust downward into the hopper, protecting thebags rom direct abrasion but allowing airto pass horizontally between the bags.

3. The lighter dust collects on the outside o thelter bags 4 as clean air passes through tothe inside o the bags.

Finally, the clean air travels through the airoutlet 5 where it may be returned to the plantor exhausted outdoors.

4. The heavier dust passes through the hoppersection 3 rom where it can be dischargedinto a metal bin or other waste dischargesystem. 7

.while cleaning

1. The MJB A and H can utilise a dierential pressuregauge to control the compressed air cleaning. Inessence, the lter cleans itsel when it needs to.

2. A compressed air line must be connected toone end o the compressed air maniold. 8

3. A solenoid valve opens to allow compressed

air rom the maniold into the jet tubes.The jet tubes are aligned above each row othe lter bags.

4. The downward blast blows the dust o thetubular lter bag (rom the inside out); 4 heavierdust passes through the hopper section 3 romwhere it can be discharged into a metal bin orother waste discharge system. 7
