    Al escribir un correo electrnico de negocios en ingls, tenga en cuenta estos

    consejos:

    Concntrese en el motivo por el que est escribiendo

    El mensaje debe serbreve

    Use voz activa, no pasiva (We will do this by the end of the week, no This will

    be done by the end of the week).

    El mensaje debe tener tres secciones generales: una introduccin (el motivo delmensaje); una seccin central (lo que quiere); y un cierre (llamada a la accin o

    prximos pasos).

    1. Introduccin

    Frmula de encabezamiento

    Formal: Si no se dirige a una persona especfica, escriba: Dear Sir or Madam

    seguido de una coma. La frmula To whom it may concern se usa en comunicados

    oficiales pero es muy formal y un poco anticuada.

    Si se dirige a gente cuyo nombre conoce, escriba Dear Mr Smith/Ms Smith o Dear

    John Smith/Mary Smith. (formal/neutral)

    Informal: Slo dirjase a la persona por el nombre de pila, Dear Simon/Susan, o el

    ms habitual Hi Simon/Susan, si la conoce bien y siempre se tratan de esa

    manera.

    2. Seccin central

    Motivo

    Es educado comenzar con I am writing to ... o I would like to ... y continuar con

    verbos como inform, enquire, apologise, confirm, point out y ask. Por

    ejemplo:

    I am writing to inform you that ... (formal/neutral)

    I would like to draw your attention to the fact that ... (formal/neutral)

    I would like to apologise for the late arrival of the goods. (neutral)

    Otra frase til es: I was (just) wondering whether ... (neutral/informal)

    Formal: Si comenz con Dear Sir/Madam, cierre con Yours sincerely seguido de

    una coma y su nombre completo debajo.

    Informal: Si conoce el nombre, puede usar Best wishes, Best regards, Kind

    regards, o lo que use habitualmente:
