PRESENTACIÓN / PRESENTATION

DH Espot, junto con el Ayuntamiento de Espot y la Peña Ciclista Colomina, organizan la competición de Copa

Catalana Internacional de DH en Espot y Campeonato de Catalunya Categoría Internacional C2 los días 20 y

21 de Mayo de 2017.

Este evento también recibe apoyo de la Federación Catalana de Ciclismo (FCC). La prueba se disputa según

el reglamento UCI de pruebas internacionales siendo el comisario UCI y los árbitros de la FCC los

responsables de aplicar dicho reglamento, destinado exclusivamente a los atletas con licencia deportiva de

competición para todas las categorías de ambos sexos.

DH Espot, along with the city Council of Espot and Peña Ciclista Colomina, organized DH International Catalan

Cup in Espot and Catalonia Championship International Category C2 on 20 and 21 May 2017.

This event also receives support from the Catalan Cycling Federation (FCC). The proof disputed under UCI

rules of international competitions UCI being the commissioner and referees FCC responsible for

implementing these rules, exclusively for athletes with sports competition license for all categories of both

sexes.

SURROUNDINGS El pequeño pueblo de Espot está situado en la comarca del Pallars Sobirà en el Pirineo de Lleida, al este del rio Noguera Pallaresa, con una superfície de aproximadamente 97.3 km2 y unos 360 habitantes. The small town of Espot is located in the region of Pallars Sobirà in the Pyrenees, east of the river Noguera Pallaresa, with an area of approximately 97.3 km2 and about 360 inhabitants.

El Parque Nacional de Aigüestortes y Estany de Sant Maurici, a pie desde el aparcamiento del Prat de Pierro (situado a 4,5 km del pueblo de Espot) o en Taxi 4x4 desde el mismo pueblo de Espot por 5.25 € por persona y trayecto hasta el Lago de Sant Maurici. National Park Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici Lake on foot from the parking “Prat de Pierro” (located 4.5 km from the village of Espot) or 4x4 Taxi from the village of Espot by 5.25 € one way per person to Sant Maurici Lake.

¿Qué hacer en el entorno de Espot? / What to do near Espot?

Actividades de Aventura: gran variedad de actividades de aventura para todos los públicos y en todas las

épocas del año, ráfting, descenso de barrancos, puenting, canoas en aguas tranquilas, parques lúdico y de

aventura, entre muchas otras cosas.

Cultura: Visitar los museos y ecomuseos etnológicos, centros de interpretación, artesanos agroalimentarios, … Museu de les Papallones de Catalunya (Pujalt-Sort), Ecomuseu de les Valls d’Àneu (Esterri d’Àneu), Ecomuseu dels Pastors de la Vall d’Àssua (Llessui), entre otros. El románico pallares también es muy apreciado, así se pueden visitar iglesias de este estilo como la de Sant Joan d’Isil o la Iglesia de Son del Pi. Gastronomía: Desde hace unos años la oferta gastronómica se ha multiplicado, entre los platos típicos del

Pallars Sobirà destacan los derivados del cordero (girella, quesos, embutidos, palpís, olla pallaresa o

escudella, etc.) los cuales se pueden degustar en la mayoría de restaurantes de la zona o comprar en

cualquier tienda.

Adventure Activities: variety of adventure activities for all ages and in all seasons, rafting, canyoning,

bungee jumping, canoeing in calm waters, leisure and adventure parks, among many other things.

Culture: Visit museums and ethnological eco-museums, interpretive centers, agro-food artisans, ... Museu de les Papallones de Catalunya (Pujalt-Sort), Ecomuseu de les Valls d'Àneu (Espot), Ecomuseu dels Pastors of the Vall d 'Àssua (Llessui), among others. The Romanesque pallares is also very popular, so you can visit churches of this style as Sant Joan d'Isil or the Church of Son del Pi. Gastronomy: In recent years the cuisine has increased, typical cuisine from region (girella, cheeses, meats, palpís, escudella, etc.) which can be tasted in most of area restaurants or buy in any store.

CONTROLES / CONTROLS Disponemos de 15 controles de paso, todos equipados con bandera amarilla, emisora, silbato y chaleco

identificativo.

Los controles 3, 7, 11 y 13 también están equipados con bandera roja.

Y, así mismo, en el control número 13 hay 2 socorristas, 1 mochila de Soporte Vital Básico y 1 colchón de

vacío.

We have 15 checkpoints, all equipped with yellow flag, radio, whistle and identifying vest.

Controls 3, 7, 11 and 13 are also equipped with a red flag.

And, likewise, at number 13 there are 2 lifeguards Control, 1 backpack Basic Life Support and one vacuum

mattress.

ACCESO PARA EL PÚBLICO / PUBLIC ACCESS El público puede acceder andando a cualquier parte del circuito, siempre por la derecha del mismo subiendo. Por otro lado, también se puede acceder con telesilla hasta la salida del mismo. The public can walk anywhere access circuit, always for the right up. There is also lift access to the start.

PLAN DE EVACUACIÓN DE ACCIDENTADOS / RESCUE PLAN En la salida del circuito disponemos de un vehículo 4x4 de bomberos con 1 conductor y 4 socorristas, 2 mochilas de Soporte Vital Básico y 2 colchones de vacío. Este vehículo puede acceder a cualquier parte del circuito en muy poco tiempo, y así pues trasladar a cualquier accidentado a la línea de llegada donde hay 2 ambulancias y 1 médico. In the start we have a 4x4 vehicle fire with 1 driver and 4 rescuers, 2 backpacks Basic Life Support and 2 vacuum mattresses. This vehicle can access any part of the circuit in a very short time, and transfer any injured to the finish line where there are 2 ambulances and 1 doctor.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL CIRCUITO / TRACK CHARACTERISTICS

La prueba se realiza en la estación de esquí de Espot, haciéndose los remontes con telesilla.

La salida está situada a 1.898 m y la llegada a 1.521 m con un desnivel total de 377 m y 1630 m de longitud.

Todo el circuito transcurre entre bosques de pino negro.

En los años 2001 y 2002 ya se diputó una Maxxis Cup International en el mismo circuito y en 2015 una DVO

Downhill Cup (Copa Catalana) y los Campeonatos de Catalunya de DH.

The race takes place in the ski resort of

Espot, with chairlift.

The start is located at 1,898 m and the

finish at 1,521 m whith a total vertical

drop of 377 m and 1630 m in length. All

the circuit passes through forests of black

pine.

In 2001 and 2002 already he deputed one

Maxxis Cup International in the same

circuit and in 2015, a DVO Downhill Cup

(Copa Catalana) and Catalan

Championships DH.
