Antireflective Glass: CurvaView

• Reduces glass reflection from 9% to 1.5%.

• Prevents unwanted reflections that don’t allow

visibility into retail displays: as if there was no glass.

• Usually laminated but can be monolithic depending

A staircase consisting of 5/8” Starphire® + 5/8” Starphire® curved tempered laminated with several

holes per piece. The pieces were parallelograms. We also provided the glass steps consisting of 4

layers of ½” Staphire® and one layer of ¼” Starphire® with an antiskid pattern and polished edges

after lamination. Additionally, we provided the curved tempered laminated handrails on the

mezzanine. One important fact to mention was that the staircase went through a real weight testing

stage, putting 500 pounds sandbags on each tread during 30 minutes 3 times.

We provided the glass for the canopy at the entrance, elevator shafts, and escalators for the

Winspear Opera House in Dallas, TX. We manufactured triple and double laminated oversized

glass pieces, all of them made up of Low Iron ½” tempered glass with a custom color

silkscreened gray border around the edges to cover for the sealant and enable the glass to blend

with the structure. The pieces measured up to 200” and weighed 560 pounds..

Space + Low E Energy Advantage 3/8” tempered glass, all flat IGUs with measuring 9’ x 9’” and a weight

of 1200 pounds. In addition, we provided the curved glass for the CEO conference room, consisting of a

triple IGU with Oversized Curved Annealed CurvaSmart XIR® Laminated with a conical curvature which

adds to the difficulty. The triple glazed units had 2 layers of ¾” laminated glass and one with 3/8” . To

achieve the specified 0.18 Uvalue and solar performance we offered the XIR/® soft coated interlayer and

two pieces of Low E glass.
