Descriptive adjectives• In Spanish, descriptive adjectives are often used with the verb SER to

point out the characteristics of a person or a thing. • They agree in gender and number with the nouns or pronouns they

describe.• Adjectives that en in - o have the following forms:

Juan es moreno Julia es morena[masculine singular] [feminine singular]

Mis primos son morenos. Mis sobrinas son morenas.[masculine plural] [feminine plural]

• Adjectives that end in - e or a consonant have the same masculine and feminine forms
