Nace en 1971. Graduado en 1994 en el Departamento de Ar quitectura, Facultad de Ingeniería, de la Universidad de T okio. En 2000, crea su propia oficina, Sou Fujimoto Ar chitects. Ha impar- tido clases como Profesor Adjunto en la U niversidad de Ciencias de T okio (2001-), en la Univer sidad de Mujeres de Showa (200 4-2008) , en la Universida d de Tokio (200 4), en la Universidad de Kioto (2007-) y en la Universidad de Keio (2009-);y como Profesor Asociado en la Universidad de Tokio (2009-).
