RESUMEN
Las carreteras han sido desde siempre el principal medio de
desplazamiento de viajeros, y la va principal para la distribucin
de mercancas y coneccin de pueblos y comunidades con las grandes
ciudades.
El crecimiento de la poblacin y de la actividad agrcola
adyacente a la carretera en los ltimos aos, ha generado un
incremento de los flujos de agua superficial, subsuperficial
subterrneo, lo que deviene en mayor necesidad de obras de
subdrenaje en la carretera. La construccin de subrasantes para
obras viales es una alternativa pero muchas veces es necesario
mejorarlas.
La estabilizacin qumica es una de las tcnicas que se emplean
para el mejoramiento de subrasantes, utilizando sustancias qumicas
que modifican las caractersticas de los suelos, reduciendo
plasticidad e incrementando la cohesin y su capacidad de
soporte.

SUMARY
Roads have always been the main means of transport of
passengers, and the main way for the distribution of goods and
connection of peoples and communities with major cities.
The growing population and adjacent to the road in recent years
agriculture has generated an increase in the flow of surface water,
underground or subsurface, which becomes greates need subdrain
works on the road. The construction of subgrade for roadworks is an
alternative but is often necessary to improve them.
Chemical stabilization is one of the techniques used to improves
subgrades, using chemicals that change the characteristics of the
soils, reducing the plasticity and cohesion and increasing media
capacity.
