Landes of Gascony : about 1 000 000 ha.
Extends over 3 departments: Gironde, Landes and Lot-et-Garonne.
The most of them are artificial regeneration.
Species: Maritime Pine (Pinus pinaster) and of the Oak (Quercus sp).
This forest massif is regularly the object of disasters (fires, storms, insects, etc.) which attenuates the production of wood.

● Dendrometric datas (Measuring diameter and heigth of twelve tree per stand because it is a contemporary mass ).
● Evaluation of damage’s percentage- <20% - Between 20 and 40% - Between 40 and 60% -> 60%.
● Evaluation of the age of the stand (counting whorls).
● Percentage of natural regeneration (As the evaluation of damage´s percentage).

1/ Caller identification (Name, address, type of owner, bank account)
2/ Project features (Name of the town, surface cleaning, surface reforest)
3/ Forward spending calculated according to the previous (Amount and nature of the scale ex: N20, N21, N22)
3 Steps:
V. Establishment of suggestions of cleaning and reforestation
For cleaning and reforestation we considered several criteria:
● The total area of the plot ● The area affected in the plot ● The cost of the work required ● The average diameter and stand age
● The presence of various species
● Presence of regeneration or not
VI. Conclusion
● We have seen in the Local Initiative Module (LIM) to diagnose the status of plots damaged.
● We have based on studies of CRPF Aquitaine and the National Forest Inventory.
● Mr. COQUILLAS, forestry technician from the CRPF, established the plots affected by the storm.
● So we could make a file for grant subvnetion.
● When the file of subvention will be accept, the owner will receive help for cleaning plots and for the reconstitution of forest cover.
