And on land, you can ex-plore the Greenways, which are perfect for bi-king on throughout the region. Go into any of our museums to learn more about nature, in-dustry, prehistory... Traverse narrows, lagoons, or historical paths such as the Way of El Cid in Guadalajara on horseback.

Collect seasonal mushrooms in any of our lush forests, such as the woods of the northern mountains of Guadalajara. Stroll through Le-tur (in Albacete) or through any of our other mountain villages, where moss, stones and water are ever-present. When night falls, gaze at the sunset’s play of colors, and admire the canopy of heaven, bursting with stars like you’ve never seen before.

Vuelve al pasado en nuestros lugares declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad, como las pinturas rupestres de Nerpio (Albacete) y de Villar de Humo (Cuenca) y el Parque Minero de Almadén (Ciudad Real), la mina más antigua del mundo. Y en Riópar (Albacete) te gustará visitar la Real Fábrica de Bronce de San Juan de Alcaraz, convertida en un museo con interesantes piezas antiguas.

In your path, you’ll find, on high and in the distance, uni-que white windmills, affording magnificent views of the great plains of La Mancha. Windmills such as those in Con-suegra (Toledo), Campo de Criptana (Ciudad Real) and Mota del Cuervo (Cuenca) are still celebrated here. Stop and explore them, because many of them can be visited.

Pursue the traces of time. In Carranque (Toledo), an Ar-chaeological Park exhibits the beauty of a Roman villa. Step back in time in our places that have been declared World Heritage Sites, such as the cave paintings of Nerpio (Albacete) and of Villar de Humo (Cuenca), or the Mining Park of Almadén (Ciudad Real), the world’s oldest mine. And in Riópar (Albacete), you’ll enjoy visiting the Royal Bronze Factory of San Juan de Alcaraz, converted into a museum with interesting ancient pieces.

You can also visit the cities of Cuenca and Toledo (both Declared Artistic World Heritage Sites), the places of parti-cular historic and artistic interest of Sigüenza and Palazue-los (Guadalajara) or of Almagro (Ciudad Real), and the his-torical towns of Almansa and Alcalá del Júcar (Albacete). Disfruta a lo grande en Ciudad Real: de la Fiesta de la Pandorga, el 30 de julio, con sus bailes po-pulares, toros de fuego, concur-sos y conciertos, y de la Fiesta de la Vendimia de Valdepeñas. Te asombrarán los Pecados y Dan-zantes del Corpus Christi de Ca-muñas (Toledo), donde podrás contemplar un auto sacramen-tal muy antiguo. Y te parecerá una maravilla el Corpus Christi de Lagartera (Toledo), con las telas ricamente bordadas que adornan fachadas y altares en todo el pueblo.

Hay muchísimas más celebra-ciones que no puedes perderte por su valor histórico y su diver-sión: los Carnavales de Villaroble-do (Albacete), fiesta declarada de Interés Turístico Nacional, y de Alcazar de San Juan (Ciudad Real); en febrero, la Endiablada de Almonacid de Marquesado (Cuenca); la Pasión Viviente de Hiendelaencina (Guadalajara) el Viernes Santo... Have the time of your life in Ciudad Real: at the Pandorga festival, on 30 July, with its folk dancing, bulls with fireworks on their horns, contests and con-certs; and at the Valdepeñas Gra-pe Harvest Fair. You’ll be amazed by the Sinners and Dancers at the Corpus Christi festival in Ca-muñas (Toledo), where you can watch a very ancient Eucharis-tic play. And the Corpus Christi festival in Lagartera (Toledo) will seem amazing to you, with richly embroidered fabrics adorning facades and altars throughout the village.

There are many more celebra-tions that you mustn’t miss, because they have great histo-rical value and they’re a lot of fun: the Carnival in Villarobledo (Albacete), which was declared a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest, and the Carnival in Al-cazar de San Juan (Ciudad Real); in February, the Devils festival in Almonacid de Marquesado (Cuenca); the Living Passion in Hiendelaencina (Guadalajara) on Good Friday...
