AND

YENEPOYAUNIVERSITY, MANGALORE, INDIA

In order to promote mutual cooperation and to extend mu tual understanding, Haccttepe Univers ity , Ankara, Tu rkey and Yenepoya Univers ity, Deralakatte, Mangalore, India agree to enter into a pro tocol on the following articles.

1- Hacettepe University and Yenepoya University agree to cooperate on th e following items, within the extent of each country's regula tions and facilities .

1) Promotion of joint research works including exchange of faculty and research members.

2) Development of s tu den t exc hange programs at undergradua te, mas ter 's , doctoral and post-doctoral levels a nd organization of programs granting dual diplomas in conformity with the legisla tion of both countries u pon approva l from the Turkish Council of Higher Edu cation .

3) Exchange of academic research data and related mater ials .

4) Cooperation in publication ac tivitie s or cultu ral activities .

5) Organization of joint academic and scientific activities such as conferences, seminars, symposiums and congresses.

II- Exchanges done within the join t resea rch works shall be planned separately by taking in to considera tion each university facilities and conditions; the rules and procedures of the exchange program shall be determined in a separate pro tocol between the parties .

III- The academic exchanges described above shall be limited to legisla tion in force in eac h cou ntry and to their res pective budgetary resou rces .

IV- This protocol sha ll not ca use any binding financial obliga tion for either party ,

v- Signature of this p rotocol shall not cause any obligation for either party to en ter in to any specific agreement rela ting to cooperation between two u niversities.

VI- In ca se that research results impacting upon matters of intellectua l property rights are expected to arise in the course of collaborative projects within the scope of this protocol, the parties shall enter in to an additional protocol governing the conditions regarding the treatment of intellectual property rights so arising, prior to the start of the collaborative project in ques tion.

VII- The execution of this pro tocol shall be subject to the laws in force in each Pa rties country. The parties are responsible for obtaining the requ ired in-house or other approvals in accordance with the legislation they are subjected to.

Vlll - This protocol sha ll be in effect for five years following the date of signature. This protocol may be complemented or amended by the wri tten and common consen t of authorized representatives of both univers ities and additional p rotocols to this protocol. The Adden da or amendments will not be valid unless it is wri tte n and signed. The protocol may be extended for another five years by written and signed consent of the parties .

IX- Each university shall reserve the right to terminate the protocol by issuing a written notice six months in advance to the other party. In that case, on-going projects shall complete.

X. This protocol is written in Turkish and English, in four originals, all of them equal validi ty.

This protocol shall become effective after signing by the authorized representatives of both universities.

2) Ogrenci degisim prograrnlan lisa ns, yu ksek lisans, doktora ve doktora sonrasi tum se viyelerde gelistirrne ve her iki ulken in mevzua tma uygun olarak ve Yuksekogretim Kurulu'n un onayi almarak c ift diploma olanagiru saglayan programlar ya pma.

3) Akademik arast irma verileri ve ilgili ma teryal de gisimi yapma .

4) Yayimlarna ve ku lturel aktivite lerdc isbirligi yapma .

5) Seminer , sempozyum , kongre vb. ortak akademik ve bilimsel faaliyetlerin duze nlenmesi,

VI- lsbu protokol cercevesinde yurutulen ortak faaliyetler nedeni tie fikr i millkiyet ha.klanrun soz konusu olacagi ongoriildilgu durumlarda , tara fla r ortak projenin baslatilmasindan once fikri mulkiyet haklanru ek bir protokol lie duzeriler.

VII- lsbu Protokolun yuru tulmesinde tarafla rin her birinin kendi hukuku uygularur. Ta raflar bagh olduklan mevzuat geregi kurum ici ya da kurum dismdan gereken onayi a lmak icin sorurnludurlar.

VlII-Bu protokol imza tarihinden so nraki bes Yl1 icin gecerli olacaktir. Gereken durumlarda iki universitcnin yetkili temsilcilerinin ortak ve yazili m utabakauyla isbu protokole ek protokoller veya pro tokolde degisiklikler yapilabilecektir .Yapilan ck vc degisiklikler yazih olmadikca ve imzalanmadikca gecerli olmayacaktrr. Sozlesme siiresi taraflann kars ihkh ve yazih mu tabakati lie 5 yil daha uzatilabilecekt ir .

lX- Universitelerdcn biri protokolu sonlandirmak isterse , bu niyctin i alt i ay once karst tarafa yazih olarak bildirecek tir. Bu durumda devam etmekte ola n projeler tamamlanrr.
