    Fundamental Rights of the Citizens of Pakistan(under 1973

    constitution):

    The citizens of Pakistan as compared to any citizen of a civilized country

    possess their basic fundamental rights which are given to them through

    the unanimous Constitution known as The Constitution of The Islamic

    Republic of Pakistan passed by the Parliament of Pakistan on 12th

    April 1973. The preamble of the constitution is very much clear in this

    regard which is as under

    Where as sovereignty over the entire Universe belongs to Almighty

    Allah (God) alone, and the authority to be exercised by the people of

    Pakistan, within the limits prescribed by Him, is a sacred trust.

    Here are some articles of constitution of 1973 regarding fundamental rights of

    citizens of Pakistan.

    Article 9: Security of Person:

    No person shall be deprived of life or liberty, save in accordance with

    law

    Article 10: Safeguard as to Arrest & Detention:

    No person, (who is arrested), shall be detained-in-custody, WITHOUT

    being informed, as soon as may be, of the GROUNDS for such, nor shall

    HE be denied the right to consult and be defended by a legalpractitioner of his CHOICE.

    Article 11: Slavery, Forced Labor etc. prohibited

    (1) Slavery is non-existence and forbidden and no LAW shall permits orfacilitate introduction into Pakistan in any form.

    (2) All forms of forced labor and traffic in human beings are

    PROHIBITED.

    (3) No child below the age of FOURTEEN shall be engaged in any

    factory or mine or any other hazardous employment.

    Article 12: Protection against Retrospective punishment

    (1) No LAW shall authorize the punishment of a person

    Article 14: Inviolability of dignity of men, etc:

    (1) The dignity of man and subject, to law, the privacy of home, shall

    be inviolable.

    (2) No person shall be subjected to torture for the purpose of

    extracting evidence.

    Article 15: Freedom of movement, etc

    Every citizen shall have the right to remain in, and, subject to anyreasonable restriction imposed by law in the public interest, enter and

    move freely throughout Pakistan and to reside and settle in any part

    thereof.

    ARTICLE 18: Freedom of trade, business or profession:

    every citizen shall have the right to enter upon any lawful profession or

    occupation

    Article 19: Freedom of speech, etc:

    Every citizen shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression,and there shall be freedom of the Press,

    CONCLUSION:

    Hence in short I can say that our present constitution provide all basic

    rights to all. Hence it is our duty that we follow it & respect it.

    Government and judiciary should make sure that it is done
