1. About J.D.M.V.P. Institution:

Jalgaon District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Co-operative Samaj Ltd. Jalgaon (JDMVP) was established in 1917 with the motto, “Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhaya” i.e. “In the interest of the masses, for the welfare of the masses.” The college strives with the objectives of reaching out to the less privileged, to uplift the needy and poor downtrodden to open for them the avenues of higher education. The objectives encompass the goals to facilitate access to higher education for poor students from nearby villages in the vicinity of Jalgaon city for boosting their courage and confidence and develop them into sensitive youths with social and moral commitment. The institution also has objective to broaden their vision towards casteless, creedless society and promote in them the social awareness and to equip them with the knowledge and skills for self-employment opportunities. When the institution was registered in 1917, the institution started its work with just seven students admitted for education. With the sincere efforts of the visionaries, the institution flourished with lips and bound from a single school of seven students to a multi institute group delivering quality higher education at all levels. Today J.D.M.V.P. owns and manages 3 senior degree colleges, 30 14 Jr. Colleges, 10 M.C.V.C. centers, 2 Y.C.M.O.U. center, 1 girls high school, 1 D.Ed. College and a primary school.

Jalgaon District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Co-operative Samaj Ltd. Jalgaon has established its first college of Arts, Commerce and Science College at Jalgaon in the year1972. In due course of time with guidance of visionaries of Society and with efforts of well qualified teachers the college has grown with addition of new divisions and new courses and has expanded in its scope and gained a reputation in entire Jalgaon district and being identified as Nutan Maratha College. In due course of time there were some visionaries who gave massive financial support for building its infrastructural resources in the form of donation, therefore their names are given to various faculties.

This college is affiliated to KBC North Maharashtra University and college caters the

theducation from 11 Std to MA, M.Com, M.Sc students. The college runs graduate course in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronic etc. Graduation and Post-Graduation in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Languages English, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu and in all social sciences are available along with separate commerce faculty. The college has well qualified teaching staff to cater all of its courses and most of the teachers are also guiding M. Phil. and Ph. D. Students.

`The college is situated in the heart of the city with 08 acres of land & has built up area of 8584 square meters. The college has thirty five class rooms, Science, computer science, Psychology, English language laboratories, Geography, Commerce Social Sciences departments, Gymkhana, partially automated central library, NSS, NCC, NAAC, IQAC offices, Principal, vice principal, administrative offices, gents and ladies staff rooms and ladies room for girls. 10. Admission:

Mode of Admission and Eligibility for FYBA/B.Sc./ B.Com:

• As Per North Maharashtra University Ordinance No.74/1995, the student must have passed the secondary and Higher secondary examination including English subject. Those are eligible for admission to F.Y.B.A. and F.Y.B.Com. Classes.

• D.Ed. holders with English subject are eligible for admission to F.Y.B.A.

• The students who have passed their secondary and Higher secondary examination with external form No. 17 are eligible for admission to F.Y.B.A./B.Com classes only.

• The students who want to complete graduation with English as Special Subject must choose Optional English at F.Y.B.A.

• The students who have passed higher secondary examination through Arts faculty can be eligible for admission to F.Y.B.Com .Class.

• The students who have passed HSC Examination in Science are only eligible to

take admission in F.Y.B.Sc. With Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer, Biology, Mathematics, Zoology, Microbiology, Geography.

Admission Process:

• The admission starts after the declaration of HSC result. The students should fill up the complete form available on only online in college website within 20 days. The list of supported documents is as follows:

i. HSC/D.Ed./Diploma/Engineering (Original Mark sheet, living certificate or transfer certificate with two zerox copies.)

ii. Eligibility certificate for Post-Graduate classes.

iii. Completely filled up university eligibility form

iv. Zerox copy of Caste Certificate for reserved admission quota.

The list through Reserve Quota will be displayed on College Notice Board. The concerned students should contact to the office within five days. Late comers will not be entertained.

• The students seeking admission to S.Y./T.Y.B.A./B.Com./Bsc. must contact to the college office within ten days after the declaration of result of the previous examination with necessary documents.

• For admission in special subjects the number of student must meet the minimum requirement i.e. five students, which otherwise turn to be cancelled by the Principal.

As per NMU Ordinance Letter No NMU / 12 /MA/M.Sc/M.Com. 400/97 dated 14/01/1997, the admission quota is based on merit list for M.Sc- Part-I, and the students can contact the college office after the Merit list is displayed.

The subjects chosen by students in an application form should be repeated as it is while filling up the Eligibility and Examination form. One can Change the subjects only after the extra charge of Rupees 100/-The paper General Knowledge is compulsory for second year (all faculties), and the written examination of the same is carried out in third year. The degree is awarded to the students only after passing of this paper.

The Paper Environment studies is compulsory for first year (All faculties). Eligiblity form and medical form are mandatory for students seeking admission to F.Y.B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. as well as in MA-I, M.Com-I and M.Sc.-I.

General Information

• The students should fill up the admission

/NCC/NSS/Library/Scholarship forms

completely and submit it within stipulated

timing which all the necessary documents as

listed in the prospectus. Once the documents

submitted will not be returned to the students

at nay condition.

• The students must pay all the required fees

personally in the bank to confirm his/her

admission and collect the acknowledgment

slip.

• Strictly follow the rules and timing period of

filling up the scholarship forms. In case of the

failure of the same, the student will have to pay

the total required admission fees.

• The admission will rely on the basis of

behavior, academic performance etc. under the

full authority of the Principal.

• As per the University ordinance No.119, the

student is eligible for only one course in one

academic year He/ She can choose the other

diploma courses available besides the degree

but can appear for only one examination at a

time.

period. In case of failure of getting the

eligibility certificate the college will not be

responsible for the same.

• The student must produce the original Leaving

Certificate of the concerned previous classes.

• In case of college transfer in KBC NMU

Jurisdiction, the students gets transfer

certificate.

• The students can apply for the same one week

before the change of Rupees 50%. Til five

years, the fee charged will be in multiple of

Rupees 100/-.

• Once the college is left, the student can not

apply for any university examination from the

same college.

Migration Certificate:

• In case of the admission in the college of other

than the home university, the student can

apply for migration certificate through the

college office. The printed form is available.

• To confirm the admission, the student must

follow the fee structure given in the

prospectus. Fill up the personal information,

class, verify it from the college clerk; and

submit it on the same day after the fees is paid

in the bank.

• Once the fees is paid will not be returned at any

condition.

• Any forgery in the college challan is a criminal

offence.

Refund of the Fees:

If the student cancels the admission, the fees

will be refunded in a following way:

Under Graduate Level:

As per the university ordinance, 126/2003 and

143/203:

• The total fees refunded within 15 days of

cancellation of admission.

• 20% of the total fees within 15-30 days.

• No refund after 30 days of admission.

Post Graduate Level:

As per the university ordinance 127/2004, the

rules regarding the refund of fees are as

follows:

• 10% of the fees + rupees 500/- will be

deducted within seven days of admission.

• 25% of the total fees+ Rupees 500/- will

be deducted within fifteen days of admission.

• No refund after 30 days of admission.

For Paying fee students:

• 10% of the total fees within seven days

• No refund after seven days of admission.

• In case of cancellation of the admission before

the granting of the scholarship, the student is

liable to pay the whole fees.

The depository fees will be refunded after filling up

the form with the acknowledgement slip within two

years, otherwise the same will be collected in

college fund.

• Identity Card:

The Identity card is compulsory for each

student in the college campus.

The students can collect Identity Card after the

producing the fee acknowledgement slip to the

librarian in the library after completion of college

admission process. The supported documents are as

follows:

i. Library Reader / Identity Card Form.

ii. Two recent passport size photographs.

• The delay in collection of Identity Card more

than one month will be punishable as per office

authority.

• The Identity Card should be produced by the

student wherever demanded by the teaching /

Non-Teaching staff of the college.

• No Individual change is acceptable on the

Identity Card.

• In case of missing of the Identity Card, the new

identity Card is chargeable with extra Rupees

50/-.

14. Disciplinary Rules for Students:

• The Student must read the “Notice” regularly

displayed on the College Notice Board.

• Keeping of Identity Card is obligatory.

• The student must remain present for the

lectures regularly.

• Note the changes in the syllabus time to time, in

case of re-admission.

• Obey the rules framed by the college

authorities regarding the general behavior and

studies.

• The student should remain present for college

and university examinations.

• In case of emergency, the student should grant

the permission from the concerned Vice-

Principal.

• The third party (for non-academic purpose) is

not allowed with students in the campus.

• Take care of the name and fame of the college.

Any tampering with the furniture, electronic

parts, laboratory, and library books etc. is a

punishable offence.

• Smoking of cigarettes, consumption of Gutka,

Tobacco etc. is strictly prohibited in college

campus.

• Keeping and Using of Mobile phones are

restricted.

• The clean and formal clothing is expected from

the students.

• Park the bicycles, motor bikes in the parking.

• The student should abide by the rules and other

instructions.

• Ragging (Direct or Indirect) in the campus is a

criminal offence and it will be result in a

punishment.

Code of Conduct for Reading Room

• Identity Card is Mandatory.

• It is non-transferable.

• The books should be referred in the reading

room only. If it is found outside the reading

room, the student will be charged the fine of

Rupees 100/- and will be restricted from using

reading room in later course.

• Keep silence and Handle every book carefully.

• No smoking inside the Reading room.

• The reading room opens at 8.30 AM and closes

at 5.30PM. The same is kept open from

8.00AM to 8.00PM during examinations.

Rules for Grant of Terms

• The student should remain present for all

lectures in the college except holidays.

• He / She perform satisfactorily in the study as

well as in the college and university

examinations.

• The student should participate in co-curricular

and extra-curricular activities.

• The student should be sincere and obedient and

follow the college disciplines.

Examinations:

• The student should follow instructions given

time to time. The students should fill up and

submit the examination forms with fee within

given time limit.

• Be careful regarding the subjects chosen while

filing up the examination forms.

• In case of First year students, it will be accepted

only after the eligibility form has been

produced.

• The student should submit the examination

form personally to the college office.

• Copy material and other unfair means are

strictly prohibited in the examinations.

• The student should submit the No Dues form

before appearing the examination.

• To get the advantage of extra 5 marks

(Ordinance 163) students should apply with

such form before the examination begins.

• After the declaration of the result, the

revaluation is done by the university as per the

ordinance No.134. The student should apply

within the given time limit.

• The student can complaint / request as per

ordinance 135 to 141, after the declaration of

result if he / she face queries in Gracing / condo

nation.
