FOLLOW – UP REPORT II Ref: Proj no. IND 67622 – Construction of Girls Hostel. 1. General Information of the project: I am happy to present the second follow up report. From the time we gave you the first report, the construction work is rather slow due to the summer and later on due to rains. Now it is picking up the speed. We have set the target to complete it by October 2015. 2. General description of the Project’s Progress Since we have already set the time frame we are concentrating on the completion. Since we put a lot of mud to fill up, we have to give a lot of time to dry the mud. Hence it is rather late. 3. Activities carried out and degree of completion After setting up the columns we had to fill up with a lot of sand. And then started with the PCC footings. RCC columns up to plinth level was set up. This work took some time as we have to do with a lot of mud and sand. We were able to do it successfully. To cast pcc columns to stab level was easier. Along with that work we were able to put up the lintel and also sunshade. Since we did the work up lintel, we also constructed the brick wall. Along with this work we were able to set up frames for doors and windows. We also purchased the shutters for doors and windows. Up to this time the work is going on rather well.
