In this work, ohmic heating (OH) curing method was presented to cureFA/cement mortar (FA-CM) samples under severely low temperature.Results showed that the FA-CM samples with 20 wt% FA cured by 2 daysOH curing at -20°C (FA20-OH) possessed comparable mechanicalproperties compared with the FA-CM sample without FA cured by 3 daysroom temperature (RT) curing (FA0-RT), indicating the significant role ofOH curing in promoting strength growth under severely low temperature.

This study reports the improved properties of hybrid graphene oxide(GO)/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) reinforced cement paste with various ratiosbetween GO and CNTs (GO:CNTs). The dispersion level of hybridGO/CNTs was evaluated by UV–vis spectroscopy, sedimentationexperiment, zeta potential and dynamic light scattering analysis. Effects ofvarious GO/CNTs ratio was analyzed by comparing the resulting fluidity,compressive and flexural strengths.

In this contribution, novel nanocomposites containing carbon-basednanomaterials and magnesium oxychlorides (MOC) were prepared andanalyzed. The prepared materials containing graphene, graphite oxide, or acombination of both additives in the total amount of 0.5% by weight ofbinder material exhibited remarkably enhanced mechanical characteristicssuch as flexural and compressive strength.
