    1. Algo que, al principio, le resulta difcil de entender a todoestudiante es que, en castellano, el infinitivo de los verbos tienetres terminaciones: ar (cantar), er (beber) e ir (dormir). Msadelante observars que los verbos ingles es tienen gran variedadde terminaciones. Por ese motivo -con el nico objetivo deunificacin - a los verbos en ingls se les antepone la preposicinto para indicar que estn "en infinitivo" (ejemplo, to be = ser oestar ).

    2. En ingls el verbo viene si empre precedido por el pronombre

    personal (sujeto de la oracin). En castellano no ocurre lo mismo:al comenzar una oracin podemos decir soy ,estoy (sujeto tcito o

    implcito) en reemplazo de yo soy ,yo estoy .

    1. En ingls los pronombres personales no se acentan alpronunciarlos, salvo en casos de nfasis como ya vers msadelante.

    2. El pronombre I (yo) se escribe siempre con mayscula y elpronombre you equivale al castellano t, usted, ustedes , vosotros

    y vosotras .3.Adems, mientras que e n castellano se usa usted o ustedespara las personas que no se conocen o de respeto, en ingls seusa siempre you. Ej.: You are a good doctor, usted es un buendoctor: You are a good kid, t eres un buen chico.

    4. Recuerda las tres terceras personas del singular: he, she , it. HEse usa para las personas de gnero masculino (hombre,muchacho); SHE se usa para las personas de gnero femenino(mujer, muchacha); IT es el pronombre que usamos cuando nosreferimos a algo neutro; es decir, objetos o cosas, tambinanimales (libro, casa, rbol, manzana, elefante)

    5. Observa que en ingls las preguntas llevan signo deinterrogacin slo al final .

    6. Recuerda que en el negativo del verbo to be puedes usar dosformas de contraccin para todas las personas ( you're not o youaren't ; he's not o he isn't ; etc.) mientras que la primera personadel singular tiene una nica posibilidad: I'm not .

    1. En ingls el 0 (cero) se puede decir tanto zero como oh. Ej.: 9067 = "nine-zero-six-

    seven" o "nine -oh-six-seven".2. Cuando se menciona un nmero telefnico que repite dos nmeros -uno acontinuacin del otro - se suele utilizar la palabra "doble" double (dbl) seguida delnmero. Ej.: 555 -3882 = five-five-five, three-double-eight-two.

    3. Para enunciar un numero se debe descomponer en sus diferentes unidades , asi

    por ejemplo:

    65 = sixty five 60 = sixty
