Cyan Light $29
Cyan Light Italic $29
Cyan Light Capitals $29
Cyan Regular $29
Designers: Robbie de Villiers
Design date: 2006
Publisher: Wilton Foundry
MyFonts debut: Jul 20, 2006
The design of Cyan was inspired by features found in classic Roman and
styles like Trajan and Bodebeck. It shows the designer’s personal
preference for geometric Roman proportions while incorporating open
centers (B,P,R) and compact serifs. Unlike Trajan, Cyan has lowercase
characters in the regular version. The characters stay true to the same
features as the capitals, resulting in an unusually distinctive style. The
Regular Capitals version contains Roman numerals. Cyan’s weight is
similar to Trajan’s but the horizontal strokes are slightly bolder resulting
in better legibility for small sizes, especially for lowercase characters.

The inscription on the base of the Trajan column in Rome is an example of
classic Roman letterforms, which reached their peak of refinement in the
first century A.D. It is believed that the letters were first written with a
brush, then carved into the stone.
These forms provided the basis for this Adobe Originals typeface designed
by Carol Twombly in 1989.
Trajan is an elegant typeface well-suited for display work in books,
magazines, posters, and billboards.
‘Trajan’ is either a registered trademark or a trademark of Adobe Systems Incorporated in the United States and/or other

Palatino Italic $29
Palatino Medium $29
Designers: Hermann Zapf
Design date: 1950
Publisher: Adobe
Design owner: Linotype
MyFonts debut: Dec 3, 2007
Hermann Zapf !s Palatino, designed for the Stempel foundry in 1950, is one
of the most widely used typefaces in the world today.
Classical Italian Renaissance letterforms blend with the crispness of line
needed for twentieth-century printing processes, and Palatino!s generous
width aids readability at small sizes.
Although Zapf originally intended it to be a display face, the graceful and
highly legible Palatino is a frequent choice for setting text.

Museo 500 $0
Museo 700 $0
Designers: Jos Buivenga
Design date: 2008
Publisher: exljbris
MyFonts debut: Mar 10, 2008
Museo... it all started with my love for the letter ‘U’. This uppercase letter just came to me as an image in
a daydream. The top of both stems bent into semi-slab serifs. From this principle I worked out the rest
of the uppercase letters. My first intention was to make it an all-caps display font but after a while I
changed my mind. I wanted it to be a bit more versatile, so I decided to add lowercase and adjust
spacing and kerning to increase legibility.
This OpenType font family comes in five weights and each weight also offers supports CE languages and
even Esperanto. Besides ligatures, contextual alternatives, stylistic alternates, fractions and
proportional/tabular figures, Museo has a ‘case’ feature for case-sensitive forms.

Mentone Italic $12
Designers: Jan Schmoeger
Design date: 2008
Publisher: Paragraph
MyFonts debut: Dec 1, 2008
Mentone is a new general purpose typeface, an attempt at extending the line of the great sans-serifs of
the previous century, Frutiger - Stone Sans - Myriad.
The font has round corners and subtle chamfers, which are all but invisible at text sizes, but add an
upbeat, irreverent expression at display sizes.
The typeface is named after the beautiful bayside suburb of Melbourne, Australia, where the designer
lives. More…
