Dear parishioners and friends: BACK TO SCHOOL TIME
I cannot believe it is ‘back to school time’ for the students and teachers in our community. I spoke to some students after Mass the past few weeks and most tell me that they are ready to return to school. I must admit, however, that when I was young I did not like this time of year. I dreaded to see the Back to School Sale signs in area stores. Even in my adult years while attending law school and the seminary I did not like to see the summer end. Sorry, but I guess I am not a good example for the students in our parish. As we begin another school year, I offer you this prayer and ask you to pray that Almighty God will bless our children, parents, teachers, and school staff as they begin an-other school year.
PRAYER FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS.
Lord God, we praise you for the gift of our life and the blessings of mind, body, and spirit.
Bless our children as they begin another school year.
Fill them with the gifts of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
Bless parents of our school children. We pray all homes are schools of love and faith. Bless teachers and all the staff who work in
our schools. Bless those who drive the buses, prepare the
meals and the officers who keep us safe. We pray that our students will devote themselves to their studies and draw ever
close to you, the source of all knowledge. We pray that our teachers teach with gentle
patience. Grant that we may always follow Our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, forever and ever. Amen. God Bless you and your family, Father Vince
Queridos fel igreses y amigos: VOLVER A LA ESCUELA
Dios te bendiga a ti y a tu familia, Padre Vicente

September 10: Catholic University of America
The Catholic University of America is unique among universities in the U.S.—even among Catholic universities. Established by Pope Leo XIII and the U.S. bishops in 1887, it is the national
university of the Catholic Church. In addition to alumni who hail from this diocese, Catholic University claims one third of the U.S.
bishops and 12,000 priests as alumni. In Washington D.C., the university provides an education based in the Catholic intellectual
tradition to almost 7,000 students through its 12 schools.
Next weekend, we will be taking up the National Collection for the Catholic University of America. Your support will enable Catholic University to expand its impact in preparing the next generation of
leadership for our Church and nation. We appreciate your generosity.
Would you like to receive short prayers or reflections daily? It is a nice way to begin your day.
Please call the Parish Office @ 856-627-2222 with your email address. Several lines are available in case more than one adult
in your home wants to be on the list. Your information is protected and will not be shared with
other entities.
Stewardship Values
“What profit would there be for one to gain the whole
world and forfeit his life?” - Matthew 16:26
St. Francis of Assisi once said, “Remember, you are what you are in the eyes of God, and nothing else.” We often forget this Stewardship wisdom when we spend all of our
time, talent and treasure to gain more of the world’s riches. We need to set our priorities based on God’s values and not
the values of the material world.
Diocese of Camden Office of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry
