1. Where can I find the official notification for COP 20/CMP 10?

The Notification to Parties was sent on 8 October 2014 and is also posted on the UNFCCCwebsite at the following link:

2. Is on-line registration open?

3. Is there a deadline for registration?

6. I am a student/writer/scientist etc. and would like to attend the sessions of the COP.Please send me a registration form or inform me how to register.

In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 6 of the Convention, Parties to the Convention,United Nations organizations and duly accredited observer organizations may attend the sessionsof the Conventions. Consequently, conferences are not open to the public.

Please convey your interest to participate in the Lima sessions through your government orto an accredited organization, which will be in a position to include your name as part of itsdelegation. The list of National Focal Points for Climate change as well as accredited observerorganizations can be found at the following link.

7. Where and when do I collect my conference badge?

You must first register at the Registration in the conference venue, which will be openedfrom Saturday, 29 November to Friday, 12 December 2014 during the opening hours indicated

below. A valid photo identification in addition to the acknowledgment letter generated from theonline registration system should be presented to registration staff.

Registration will be opened from Saturday, 29 November until Saturday, 6 December2014, from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Registration will be closed Sunday on 7 December 2014.

Registration re-opens on Monday, 8 December until Friday, 12 December 2014, from 8.00a.m. to7.00 p.m.

To avoid delays, it is highly recommended that you register on Saturday, 29 November orSunday, 30 November 2014.

8. Is there an official rest day?

9. What are the official dates for the high-level segment?

The High Level Segment will be opened on Tuesday, 9 December and will close onThursday, 11 December 2014. More information on the High Level Segment can be found on thenotification page 14. Please see link below.

10. How do I register my minister for the speakers list of the High Level Segment (HLS)?

Registration for inscription to deliver a statement during the HLS can be done bycompleting the Registration form that was included in the Notification to Parties. Please followthe link below page 14 to 15 for relevant information on the HLS.

11. How do I register the car of my Minister/delegation/embassy to have access to theconference venue?

Attached is the document that informs on the procedure for registering cars of Ministersand Heads of UN organizations to have access to the conference venue.

12. Will transportation be provided for participants?

A complimentary transport service will be provided between selected conference shuttlehubs and the conference venue. Full services will operate from Tuesday, 25 November until

Saturday, 13 December 2014.

Depending on the location of the respective shuttle hub, the frequency is planned from 10-15 minutes and from points further away, 30-60 minutes. The shuttle hub concept will soon befinalized and the routes will be posted on the COP 20/CMP 10 website:

13. How do I make hotel arrangements for Lima?

14. I will need to ship brochures, documents etc. to the COP and would like to find outthe procedure for shipment consignments?

Please refer to the Annex - "Information for Participants" included in the Notification ofthe sessions posted on 8 October on the UNFCCC website at the following link:

Further information on shipment will be posted on the UNFCC website in due course. It

15. How do I book an office for my delegation?

16. How do I reserve a meeting room and are there any costs involved?

Depending on availability Meeting Rooms may be booked for closed meetings, every dayfrom 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. There are no costs associated with booking a meeting room.

Until 1 December, requests for meeting rooms may be sent via email. As ofMonday, 1 December 2014 (official start of COP 20 and CMP 10), meeting room assignment

request form will not be accepted by email. Forms should be handed in at the Information andMeeting Room Assignment (MRA) Counter in paper form.

Please download the Meeting Room Assignment (MRA) Request form and send it as anattachment to [email protected].

17. Are there any security concerns that should be taken into account when visitingLima?

The host country has prepared a “Basic securit y leaflet and suggestions for your journeys”for the conference. The leaflet can be accessed at the following link.

19. Is there a map of the conference venue?

At this point, there is no “map” of the conference venue. However, the host country hasincluded a COP20Venue – Reference Video on their which gives an animated overview of the premises. Please consult the following link:

20. What is the dress code for the Peru conference?

There is no established dress code for the Peru conference. However, the temperature inLima in November and December ranges from 17°C to 23°C. Participants may wish to visit thefollowing link from the host country's website for more information regarding the weather in Peruat the time of the COP:
