¡BIENVENIDOS DE VUELTA AL COLE!

Para nosotros es siempre un placer volver a recibir a nuestros

alumnos/as para un nuevo año escolar. Este es el primer

newsletter del año, y, como ya hemos estado haciéndolo desde

el año pasado, se enviará solamente de manera electrónica.

Documentos que se deben llenar, firmar y entregar al colegio.

Los estudiantes de las familias que no asistieron a las reuniones

del lunes y martes de esta semana han llevado documentos

muy importantes para ser llenados, firmados y devueltos al cole-

gio lo más pronto posible para no perjudicarles. Estos documen-

tos incluyen el uso de biblioteca, la autorización de uso de me-

dicamentos, así como permiso para fotografías. Si no han recibi-

do tales documentos aún, por favor comunicarse con el tutor.

Políticas y manuales

Es muy importante que revisen las Políticas y Manuales de nues-

tro colegio en nuestra página web: www.ausangate.edu.pe y

en nuestra plataforma SieWeb, ya que estos documentos regi-

rán nuestro trabajo a lo largo del año.

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

It is a pleasure for us to be with the students for a new

school year. This is our first newsletter of the year, and like

last year, it will only be sent via email.

The following is the staff team that will be with us in 2016:

Primary School Teachers

Documents to fill out, sign and return to school

Students of families who did not attend the meetings this

Monday and Tuesday were sent home with important do-

cuments for families to fill out, sign and return to school as

soon as possible to avoid problems. These documents in-

clude the use of the library, authorization of medications,

as well as the school pictures authorization. If you have not

received these documents yet, please contact your

child’s ¨tutor¨.

Nuevo sistema de seguridad

Este año el colegio cuenta con un nuevo sistema de seguridad,

contando con el apoyo de personal especializado que supervisa-

rá el ingreso a nuestro local. Por ello, todo aquel que no sea

alumno ni trabajador del colegio, podrá ingresar solo previa cita

y/o portando siempre su DNI. Recomendamos que las coordina-

ciones se hagan telefónicamente (275135 o 984893467) o vía co-

rreo electrónico (info@ausangate.edu.pe) para evitar ingresar al

colegio innecesariamente. Como saben, los padres y madres de

familia no pueden reunirse al ingreso o la salida con los docentes,

Coordinadores ni Dirección, sino que deben coordinar una cita

vía secretaría en los horarios de atención indicados en cada ca-

so.

Asistencia y Puntualidad

Se espera que los estudiantes asistan al Colegio con regularidad y

lleguen a tiempo cada mañana.

El horario de clases es de 8.00 a.m. a 2.45 p.m.. La puerta princi-

pal se abre a partir de las 7.40 a.m. y se cierra a las 8.00 a.m.,

cuando se toca el timbre para empezar el día. Si un estudiante

llega tarde al colegio o a una clase durante el día escolar, tendrá

que esperar a que el profesor/a encuentre un momento opor-

tuno para abrirle la puerta para evitar interrupciones en clase.

De igual manera, la salida deberá hacerse dentro de los 10 minu-

tos siguientes al sonido del timbre, de las 2.45 p.m. No está permi-

tido que los estudiantes se queden en el colegio luego de ese

horario, salvo que tengan actividades organizadas dentro del

mismo, para las cuales se deben haber inscrito. Les recordamos

que cuando un estudiante sale al final del día, no puede reingre-

sar al colegio hasta el día siguiente. Por lo tanto, no pueden salir

a comprar algo y luego reingresar.

Cada ausencia y tardanza necesita ser justificada por el padre/

madre a través de una carta o correo a coordinación académi-

ca (coordinacionacademica@ausangate.edu.pe). Se espera

que los estudiantes solamente falten el colegio por razones médi-

cas (se les pide no asistir al colegio si están enfermos para evitar

contagiar a otros). Sin embargo, en casos extremos en los cuales

un estudiante tenga que faltar por alguna razón prevista, por

ejemplo un viaje importante, la familia debe enviar una carta

oficial al colegio pidiendo permiso y explicando el caso. En estas

situaciones es responsabilidad del estudiante y su familia comuni-

carse con cada profesor/a para enterarse de lo que va a perder

y cumplir con todo lo necesario en las fechas indicadas por los

profesores o coordinación para evitar perjudicar su rendimiento

académico.

Información sobre estacionamiento

La zona de estacionamiento que debemos usar para dejar los

autos es la vía al costado de “Los Siervos del Tercer Mundo”, pa-

red alta de concreto a una cuadra del colegio, a partir de don-

de se debe entrar caminando. No se puede ingresar con auto

hasta la puerta del colegio, debido a que la vía es pequeña y no

permite a los autos maniobrar para retroceder y genera inseguri-

dad en los estudiantes y sus familias.

Por favor, agradeceremos respetar esta disposición. Solo las movi-

lidades escolares registradas en el colegio podrán ingresar hasta

la puerta, no así los taxis, ni familias que traen varios alumnos en

autos particulares. Esta disposición debe seguirse no solo a la ho-

ra de ingreso y salida, sino durante todo el horario escolar.

De igual manera, pedimos a todos los que vengan en autos, esta-

cionarse sin bloquear los garajes de ingreso de nuestros vecinos

de Santa María, ya que en años anteriores esto ha causado pro-

blemas.

Agradecemos que nos ayuden a mejorar el vínculo con nuestros

vecinos, así como a demostrar los atributos de nuestro colegio.

Préstamos de Biblioteca

Para poder acceder a este servicio, deben haber firmado el

Compromiso de Uso de la Biblioteca entregado durante las entre-

vistas con padres. Si no tuvieran esa información a la mano, por

favor solicitarla al/la profe de su hijo/a. ¡Esperamos que nuestros

alumnos/as puedan usar la Biblioteca al máximo este año!

New security system

This year the school has a new security system with dedi-

cated staff to supervise school entrance. As a result, an-

yone who is not a school student or staff member can

only enter with a scheduled appointment and bringing

identification. Appointments should be made by phone

(275135 or 984893467) or email (info@ausangate.edu.pe).

As you know, parents can not meet with teachers, coor-

dinators or the principal during drop off or pick up, ins-

tead they must make an appointment during scheduled

times by contacting the secretary.

Attendance and Punctuality

Students are expected to attend school regularly and

arrive on time each morning.

School hours are from 8.00 a.m. - 2.45 p.m.. The door of

the school will be open from 7:40 a.m. and will be closed

at 8:00 a.m., when the bell is rung to signal the start of the

day. If a student arrives late to school or class during the

school day, s/he will have to wait until the teacher finds

an appropriate time for him/her to enter; this is to limit

interruptions. Arriving late could affect the ability to hand

an assignment in on time.

We expect students to leave school within at least 10

minutes of dismissal time either at 2:45 or at the end of an

afterschool program. They may not stay at school be-

yond that time. Please keep in In addition, we remind

you that once students leave for the day, they may not

re-enter until the following day. For example, students

may not exit the school to buy a snack and then come

back in.

Parents must inform the school of any excused absences

or tardies by letter or email to coordinacionacadaemi-

ca@ausangate.edu.pe. Students are expected to only

miss school for medical reasons (children who are sick or

have a fever should not attend to avoid infecting others).

However, in extreme cases when a student will miss

school due a foreseen event, such as an important trip,

the family must send an official letter to school asking

permission and explaining the case. In these situations, it

is the responsibility of the student and his/her family to

complete all necessary assignments by the date indica-

ted by the teachers or coordination to avoid lower aca-

demic performance.

Parking Information

Everyone must park their cars next to the “Los siervos del

tercer mundo” Catholic Church compound next to the

high wall a block away from the school and then walk to

the school. Cars may not come to the school door since

the road there is narrow limiting movement and affecting

the safety of students and families.

Please respect this policy. Only registered school busses

can park in the block of the school door - not taxis or fa-

milies bringing multiple children. This rule is not only in ef-

fect during drop off and pick up, but throughout the

school day.

In addition, we ask that no cars block any driveways of

our Santa Maria neighbors which has caused problems in

the past.

Thank you for helping us improve our relationship with our

neighbors and demonstrate the attributes of our school’s

profile.

Borrowing from the Library

In order to borrow books from the library, you must have

signed the library form distributed during Parent-Teacher

interviews. Please ask your child’s teacher through the

communication book if you need this form. We look for-

ward to our students using the library a great deal this year!

Afterschool y Semana gratuita de talleres deportivos

Si bien nuestros talleres de AfterSchool comenzarán a partir del

lunes 14 de marzo, durante la próxima semana nuestros talleres

deportivos de fútbol y voley funcionarán de manera gratuita en

el siguiente horario:

Fútbol Mixto de 1ro a 10mo grado: del lunes 7 a viernes 11 de

marzo de 3.00 a 4.30 p.m.

Vóley Mixto de 1ro a 10mo grado: del miércoles 9 al viernes 11

de marzo de 3.00 a 4.30 p.m.

La información oficial sobre todos los talleres AfterSchool la en-

viaremos el martes 8, para que puedan inscribirse esa semana.

En esta información se indicará los talleres que se ofrecen y las

condiciones de cada uno. Por lo pronto, esta semana de talle-

res deportivos gratuitos busca motivar la participación de los

chicos y chicas.

Como ven, los talleres deportivos comenzarán a las 3.00 p.m.,

en ese sentido, sugerimos que los chicos usen el segundo recreo

para comer algo más sustancioso y dejen una comida ligera

para los 15 minutos entre la salida y el taller.

El Profesor Antonio, quien dirige las clases de Educación Física,

estará a cargo de la supervisión de los talleres y pueden hacerle

las consultas respectivas.Ojalá contemos con muchos partici-

pantes en estos talleres.

Reunión de padres

Como les informamos en un comunicado anterior, el próximo

miércoles 16 de marzo tendremos nuestra primera reunión con

padres en el local del colegio en Santa María para presentar a

nuestro equipo de trabajo y compartir información relevante

sobre el trabajo de este año. Los horarios son los siguientes:

Miércoles 16 a las 6:30pm - 1º, 3º y 5º grados de primaria

Miércoles 16 a las 7:30pm – 2º, 4º y 6º grados de primaria

Uso de gorros y bloqueadores

Es obligatorio que nuestros alumnos y alumnas usen gorros y blo-

queadores durante las horas en que están expuestos al sol. Les

agradeceremos cumplir con esta norma y conversar con sus

hijos/as para que las respeten.

Afterschool and Free Trial Week of Sports Workshops

While we are currently organizing the afterschool offerings

which will start March 14th, next week there will be free

trial soccer and volleyball workshops according to the

following schedule:

Coed Soccer for 1st through 10th graders from Monday,

March 7 - Friday, March 11th from 3:00 - 4:30pm

Coed Volleyball for 1st through 10th graders from Wednes-

day, March 9 - Friday, March 11th from 3:00 - 4:30pm

We will send official Afterschool workshop information ho-

me on Tuesday, March 8th and registration will take place

that week. This information will indicate which workshops

will be offered and under what conditions. The purpose of

the sports workshops this week is to motivate our boys and

girls.

As you can see, the sports workshops start promptly at

3:00pm so we suggest that students eat a hearty meal

during their second recess and have something light du-

ring the 15 minutes between the end of school and the

beginning afterschool.

Our Physical Education teacher, Antonio, will be supervi-

sing the afterschool sports activities, can answer any ques-

tions you might have. We hope to see lots of students par-

ticipating!

Parent Meetings

As mentioned earlier, we will hold our first parent meetings

next Wednesday, March 16th at the main school in Santa

Maria to present our staff and share important information

about our work this year. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday March 16th: 1st, 3rd and 5th Grades at 6:30pm

Wednesday March 16th: 2nd, 4th, and 6th Grades at 7:30pm

Use of Hats and Sunblock

It is mandatory for students to use hats and sunblock when

they are exposed to the sun. Thank you for following this

rule and talking with your children about respecting it.
