Un itinerario alternativo por la ciudad en el que el autor, Igor Calvo, se cuestiona el resultado de los procesos urbanísticos actuales, incidiendo en el drama de los desahucios como proceso de involución social. Igor Calvo encuentra en el medio urbano,en la calle, la clave y fundamento de su tra‑bajo fotográfico, tras su paso por los talle‑res de la Tate Gallery (Londres) da el saltodefinitivo a las exposiciones. En su obra seevidencia el posicionamiento del autorsobre el postcapitalismo de las sociedadesoccidentales. Con un estilo esteticista yuna cuidada técnica va concatenando be‑llísimas imágenes bajo las que subyaceuna mirada muy crítica y una actitud dedenuncia ante la conversión del individuoen mero objeto de producción / consumo.Cada una de sus fotografías propone al es‑pectador un análisis de nuestra sociedad;pretende que cada sujeto reflexione sobrela realidad en la que vive y sea conscientede su poder de actuación para modificarla.

El nuevo trabajo de Igor Calvo PROCESOS DE URBANIZACIÓN INSOSTENIBLES SIGUIENDO
ESTRATEGIAS INVOLUTIVAS continúa investigando sobre el espacio formal y el espa-cio percibido, línea de trabajo que comienza con la exposición de COLMENAS. Perosi en COLMENAS el eje del discurso se centraba en unas “irracionales unidadesde habitabilidad” encerradas en sistemas cuya especificidad se creaba medianteel crecimiento indefinido por adición de estructuras básicas; en PROCESOS DE UR-BANIZACIÓN INSOSTENIBLES… estos entornos claustrofóbicos son individualizadosmediante un pequeño detalle, un número que aparece en la fachada o en lasventanas cerradas (en el espacio público) y que pasa desapercibido entre la enor-midad de esos bloques ilimitados.
Estos números aleatoriossimbolizan el drama vitalde todas aquellas familias que son expulsadas de sushogares, marcan los espa-cios que han sido someti-dos a desahucio:
“Recogiendo iconografías pasadas que nos trasladan mentalmente a otra épocalas casas son marcadas mediante un pequeño símbolo para informar a la pobla-ción de que debe mantenerse alejada, Las imágenes que componen la exposi-ción nos muestran hogares simbólicamente marcados; un número más entremuchos otros que nos informa que ese hogar es el enésimo que ha sido desahu-ciado o, quizás, que avisa a las autoridades pertinentes cuál es la siguiente casade la que hay que expulsar a sus legítimos habitantes” afirma el autor.
Una vez más, en el universo del fotógrafo Igor Calvo no hay más que indicios dela presencia humana que nos permiten inferir las actuaciones de sus habitantes.En PROCESOS DE URBANIZACIÓN INSOSTENIBLES SIGUIENDO ESTRATEGIAS INVOLUTIVAS
las imágenes denuncian las incontables tragedias que enmascara el paisajehabitado.
In the new photographic work by Igor Calvo: UNSUSTAINABLE PROCESSES OF URBA-NIZATION FOLLOWING REGRESSIVE STRATEGIES, the author continues researching intothe formal space and the perceived space, path that started with the exhibitionHIVES. But, if the axis of the discourse in HIVES concentrated on “irrational habitabilityunits” contained in systems whose specificity was created through the indefinitegrowth by the addition of basic structures; in UNSUSTAINABLE PROCESSES OF URBA-NIZATION… these claustrophobic surrounds are individualized through a small de-tail, a number on the façade or the shut windows (in the public space then) whichgoes unnoticed among those huge unlimited blocks.
Once more, in the universe of the photographer Igor Calvo there is no more thatsigns of the human presence, signs that allow us to infer the actions of their inha-bitants. In UNSUSTAINABLE PROCESSES OF URBANIZATION FOLLOWING REGRESSIVE STRA-TEGIES the images denounce the uncountable tragedies hidden by the inhabitedlandscape.

those families that are being expelled from their homes and mark the homes thathave undergone evictions: “using past iconographies which make us travel toother times when the houses were marked as to inform the outside people to stayaway, the images comprising the exhibition show us homes symbolically marked;a number among many others that let us know this house is the nth to have beenevicted or, maybe, that tells the relevant authorities about the next house fromwhich their legitimate dwellers should be expelled”, asserts the author.
