5. Build Up to Finish in a Conditioned Game with Passing Gates

Objective: Team shape, build up play, accurate passing and finishing attacks.

DescriptionWe play a normal 9 v 9 game (10 v 10 with GKs), except there are 4 cone gates in the positions shown.

The practice starts from the goalkeeper and the blue team must build up play within their set formation and team shape. The ultimate aim is to play the ball forward and score a goal (1 point).

However, the blue team can also score 1 point by passing through any cone gate.

The players have to use correct and intelligent movement to create passing lines and demonstrate accurate driven passes along the ground.

* After this practice, do a cool down for 10 minutes.
