    1.- ANTECEDENTES:se requiere la revisin estructural de un dique para

    contencin de derrames de un grupo de diez tanques, el cual se estructurar abase de muros verticales, una placa de cimentacin , diez bases cilndricas y unconjunto de veinte dados, todos en concreto armado para transmitir las cargas detrabajo hacia un estrato de rocas gneas empacadas en ceniza volcnica.

    4.- ANALISIS DE CARGAS:

    4.a.- Antecedentes:dada la estructura en cuestin, su tipo y geometra, deacuerdo al reglamento se har una revisin para cargas gravitacionales, ssmicas,de viento, empuje lateral del terreno y empuje hidrosttico.

    4.b.- Materiales para anlisis:para la elaboracin del modelo estructural se hanconsiderado bsicamente los siguientes materiales: concreto, acero. Los valoresde las propiedades mecnicas para estos materiales se muestran a continuacin:

    4.c.- Cargas de Anlisis:las cargas gravitacionales a considerar son: el pesopropio de la estructura y el peso del tanque vaco como carga muerta (CM), elpeso del lquido contenido en el tanque como carga permanente (CP) y una cargaviva (CV) como sobrecarga sobre la placa de cimentacin expuesta, tales valores

    se dan a continuacin:

    Para las cargas accidentales por sismo se toman los valores de un espectro dediseo para la zona ssmica B y un tipo de suelo I, se tienen entonces lossiguientes valores para una revisin esttica simplificada:

    coeficiente ssmico bsico, c = 0.14factor de ductilidad, Q = Q = 3coeficiente ssmico, Cs = 0.047

    El empuje lateral hidrodinmico se toma en cuenta aplicando las frmulas deHousner recomendadas en el manual el cual se agrega al empuje inercial de lasmasas del tanque y el lquido contenido.

    En cuanto a las cargas accidentales por viento, se considera que stas actansobre toda el rea vertical proyectada del tanque, debido al tamao y geometradel equipo se considera una estructura del grupo B y del tipo 1 para la cual se

    obtienen los siguientes valores:

    velocidad regional, Vr = 120 km/hrvelocidad de diseo, Vd = 162 km/hrpresin esttica, pz = 74 kg/m

    Respecto al empuje lateral del terreno y tomando en cuenta la profundidad dedesplante, se considera que se alcanza a formar la cua de Rankine, por lo cual elclculo de las presiones laterales debidas el relleno se realiza con el mtodo dela cua, para lo cual se adiciona la presin de sobrecarga debida al tndemtrasero de un triler clase 9 FHWA sobre un segmento del muro oriente.

    Para la carga hidrosttica por derrame se considera una densidad relativa de 1.71,correspondiente al tanque de 85 m3 de cloruro de calcio.Dichas cargas se integran en el modelo como cargas uniformemente distribuidassobre las superficies de la cimentacin.La carga muerta debida al peso propio de la estructura se toma en cuenta con elcomando selfweight de la plataforma de anlisis.

    4d.- Combinaciones de Cargas:los casos de carga bsicos que se consideran

    son entonces los siguientes:

    4e.- Recomendaciones de Mecnica de Suelos:se utilizar una capacidad decarga admisible recomendada de qa= 11.0 ton/ m sobre el relleno compactado dematerial inerte, asimismo, se emplear el siguiente valor para la reaccin de sub-suelo, necesario para el modelado de la placa de cimentacin como una losasobre un lecho elstico, k= 3.35 kg/ cm/cm.

    4f.- Formulacin del modelo estructural:los muretes, la placa de cimentacin y

    la base cilndrica se discretizaron mediante elementos finitos, tanto triangularescomo cuadrilteros existentes en la librera de la plataforma de anlisis.La reaccin del suelo (reaccin de sub-suelo) se modela mediante resorteslineales elsticos colocados en los nudos de esquina de los elementos finitos queconstituyen la placa de cimentacin.La plataforma de anlisis realiza internamente los clculos necesarios para elacoplamiento mecnico entre los elementos bidimensionales.Mediante la plataforma de anlisis se lleva a cabo un anlisis de tipo estticolineal, obtenindose as los valores de las reacciones de apoyo, fuerzas en loselementos, desplazamientos y rotaciones para todos los casos de carga.

    5.- DISEO ESTRUCTURAL:5a.- Diseo de la cimentacin: utilizando la plataforma de diseo para elementosde concreto se han encontrado las cantidades de acero de refuerzo necesariaspara resistir los esfuerzos flexionantes y cortantes que actan sobre los elementosde la placa de cimentacin y sobre los muretes y la base cilndrica. Se tomaron encuenta los siguientes valores para el concreto y el acero de refuerzo: fc = 300kg/cm, fy = 4200 kg/cm. Ver Anexo # 2.

    6.- CONCLUSIONES:las secciones iniciales de los elementos de la cimentacinse propusieron tomando en cuenta las recomendaciones de reglamentos dediseo anteriores, debido a esto en su mayor parte las cantidades de acero derefuerzo para los miembros de concreto resultaron ser la cuanta mnima exigidaen los reglamentos vigentes; respecto a las deflexiones obtenidas de efectoinmediato no resultaron ser de consideracin, siendo la mxima de 1/600 del clarode la losa de apoyo para el tanque de cloruro de calcio. Los resultados anterioresse muestran en el Anexo #1 (imgenes del modelo), Anexo #2 (diseo deconcreto), finalmente debe de verificarse cuidadosamente en campo que secumplan las normas de recubrimiento para el acero de reduerzo, as como elgrado de compactacin exigido en los planos de construccin. En todos los casosdeber de retirarse la capa superficial de terreno hasta encontrar el estrato rocoso.

    En base a todo lo anterior se concluye que la estructura es segura.
