ABSTRACT
Quantification of crop water needs, is a key parameter irrigation planning. At present, the FAO Penman
- Monteith (FAO - PM) has been recommended as the best for estimating reference evapotranspiration
(ETo). However, it is not always possible to have all the data needed for your application. Therefore,
the aim of the study was to estimate ETo in daily and monthly high Yanamayo subbasin, the FAO
Penman Monteith equation (FAO - PM) and Hargreaves (HG) for the water year period from 2012 to
2013, with data daily meteorological stations of Environment Research Centre for Development (ICAS)
- UNASAM.
PM and HG using a linear regression model, which could be observed and confirmed by the methods
of the estimation values are adjusted - FAO the two methods were compared. The accuracy of
estimating the ETo with the Hargreaves equation are statistically adjusted according to the method of
FAO - PM.
To validate the model was calculated using the statistical test "t", the result of the statistical analysis
for the three weather stations in the corresponding day of the month there is a good correlation and
analysis Monthly average station in EM07 - SAN NICOLAS not exist correlation because incomplete
data mostly tube.
Finally it was determined that the monthly model that predicts the value of the (ET) in the upper
subbasin Yanamayo is: EM12 Station - POMABAMBA, ETo (FAO - PM) = - 0.336 + 1.600 * (HG), with
a correlation coefficient "r" of 95.4% and EM02 Station - CHACAS, ETo (FAO - PM) = 0,569 + 0,991 *
(HG), with a determination coefficient of 58.8%.
