7 DE JUNIO DEL 2020 SANTISIMA TRINIDAD- SANTA MARIATHE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY We’reso very familiar with the sign of the cross, which we say at thebeginning of the Mass, for example, and most of the timebefore any of our prayers or devotion, “In the name of theFather and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Each year, the Sunday following the Solemnity ofPentecost, the Church commemorates the Mystery of theMost Blessed Trinity, the central mystery of Christian faithand life. It is the Mystery of God Himself (Catechism of theCatholic Church 234). The Catechism of the Catholic Churchteaches that “by sending his only Son and the Spirit of Lovein the fullness of time, God has revealed his innermost secret:God Himself is an eternal exchange of love, Father, Son, andHoly Spirit, and He has destined us to share in that exchange”(Catechism of the Catholic Church 221). When we are physically present for the Celebration of theMass, and now when we are virtually present, we offer ourworship to the Triune God through our Lord Jesus Christ, andwe ask that by the power of the Holy Spirit all nations andpeoples may come to the knowledge of the true God. Throughour sacred worship we “acknowledge today and take to heartthat the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth beneath;there is no other” (Dt 4:39). May our faithful discipleship bea clear and bold proclamation of this truth for this truth is Hismerciful love.May God bless you, our Church Community, our city, ournation and our world ……Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

LA SOLEMNIDAD DE LA SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD

Estamos muy familiarizados con la señal de la cruz, que

decimos al comienzo de la Misa, por ejemplo, y la

mayoría de las veces antes de cualquiera de nuestras

Hijo y del Espíritu Santo ".

MARYTHE REOPENING OF OUR CHURCHESThe Diocese of Brooklyn is slowly working towards going backto normal by opening the doors of the churches -for privateprayer and devotion. The following directives apply ……• There cannot be more than ten (10) people in the church andthere cannot be any groups gathering. • Anyone who feels sick in any way are to stay home. Parishionersare asked to take their temperatures before leaving their home andshould stay home if the temperature is over 100 degrees. Theelderly and all who are health-compromised are advised to stayhome.• The church is measured and marked off, respecting socialistancing norms. • There will be NO holy water in the fonts. All worship aids,bulletins and other literature have been removed from the pewsand stored away. Bulletins can be viewed on the Parish Website. • Parishioners are required to wear masks, which they will bring ontheir own from home. No one should be in church without a mask. • Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance to church butparishioners are to be encouraged to bring their own from home,as well.• The restroom will be open and available. For the foreseeable future, any event which will draw crowdsand make social distancing difficult can not be scheduled.

Supporting Most Holy Trinity – St. Mary Church: The situations in which we find ourselves due to the corona-virus

have put everyone in very difficult situations. Families need to make sure that all their responsibilities are being met. There

are always bills to be paid. This is no different for Most Holy Trinity – St. Mary Church. The Church has applied to the PPP

loan to assist with salaries but there are still other bills that need to be taken care of, heating (gas and oil) and electricity just

to name a few. These bills and others can be very large. As through the course of every year, the Church depends on your

weekly contributions, 52 weeks a year. Times during this pandemic are difficult for everyone including the Church.

Whatever you can do to contribute weekly to help Most Holy Trinity – St. Mary is greatly appreciated. You can either send

your envelopes by mail or drop them off at the friary, 138 Montrose Avenue, or at the office, 153b Johnson Avenue. A

Thank You to everyone who have been forwarding their weekly contributions to the Church. Whatever you can helps

support Most Holy Trinity – St. Mary Church.

REMINDER ABOUT “BELLS OF HOPE”

Brooklyn and Queens are at the epicenter of the

crisis in New York City so this is an important

initiative for uniting the faithful in prayer. Our

church bells and church bells throughout the

diocese are ringing every day at 3 pm including

Good Friday as a reminder to people to pray during this time

for those who are suffering from the effects of the pandemic:

Przepe³nia nasze dzia³anie, i doskonali je, nape³niaj¹c je mi³oœci¹. A, ¿e jest to najczystsza forma mi³oœci,roœnie i staje siê bardziej doskona³a.
