Descriptions of Satan:1. Accuser: Rev. 12:10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying,Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, andthe authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, whoaccuseth them before our God day and night.

2. Adversary: I Pet. 5:8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary thedevil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,

3. God of this world: 2 Cor. 4:4 . . . in whom the god of this worldhath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of theglory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn [upon them].

4. Murderer and Father of Lies: John 8:44 Ye are of [your] fatherthe devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murdererfrom the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth inhim. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and thefather thereof.

3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for Goddoth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, andye shall be as God, knowing good and evil. A la mujer dijo: - Multiplicaré en gran manera los dolores en tus embarazos,con dolor darás a luz los hijos, tu deseo será para tu marido y él seenseñoreará de tí. Achan – The Big Fraud of Israel

Text: Joshua 6:1-2 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of thechildren of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And Jehovah said untoJoshua, See, I have given into thy hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and themighty men of valor.

Joshua 6:17-19 And the city shall be devoted, even it and all that is therein,to Jehovah: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her inthe house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. But as for you, onlykeep yourselves from the devoted thing, lest when ye have devoted it, yetake of the devoted thing; so would ye make the camp of Israel accursed, andtrouble it. But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are holyunto Jehovah: they shall come into the treasury of Jehovah.

Joshua 7:1-6 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the devotedthing; for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of thetribe of Judah, took of the devoted thing: and the anger of Jehovah waskindled against the children of Israel. And Joshua sent men from Jericho toAi, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and spake untothem, saying, Go up and spy out the land. And the men went up and spiedout Ai.

7:3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the peoplego up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; make notall the people to toil thither; for they are but few. So there went up thither ofthe people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men; and they chasedthem [from] before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them at thedescent; and the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. 7:10-26 And Jehovah said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore art thou thusfallen upon thy face? Israel hath sinned; yea, they have even transgressedmy covenant which I commanded them: yea, they have even taken of thedevoted thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also; and they have evenput it among their own stuff.

Acán – El Gran Fraude de Israel

Texto: Josué 6:1-2 Jericó estaba cerrada, bien cerrada, por temor alos hijos de Israel: nadie entraba ni salía. Pero Jehová dijo a Josué: Mira, yohe entregado en tus manos a Jericó y a su rey, junto con sus hombres deguerra.

Joshua 6:17-19 Y la ciudad será como anatema a Jehová, con todas lascosas que están en ella; solamente Rahab, la ramera, vivirá, así como todoslos que estén con ella en su casa, por cuanto escondió a los mensajeros queenviamos. Pero vosotros guardaos del anatema; no toquéis ni toméis cosaalguna del anatema, no sea que hagáis caer la maldición sobre elcampamente de Israel y le traigáis la desgracia. Pero toda la plata y el oro, ylos utensilios de bronce y de hierro, sean consagrados a Jehová y entren en eltesoro de Jehová.

Joshua 7:1-6 Pero los hijos de Israel cometieron una infidelidad en cuantoal anatema, porque Acán hijo de Carmi hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de latribu de Judá, todo algo del anatema, y la ira de Jehová se encendió contralos hijos de Israel. Entonces Josué rompió susvestidos y se postró en tierra sobre su rostro desde el Arca de Jehová hastacaer la tarde, junto con los ancianos de Israel, y se echaron polvo sobre suscabezas.

7:10-26 Jehová respondió a Josué: - ¡Levántate! ¿Por qué te postras asísobre tu rostro? Israel ha pecado, y aun han quebrantado mi pacto, el que yoles mandé. También han tomado algo del anatema, y hasta lo han robado,han mentido, y aun lo han guardado entre sus enseres.

7:12 Therefore the children of Israel cannot stand before their enemies; theyturn their backs before their enemies, because they are become accursed: Iwill not be with you any more, except ye destroy the devoted thing fromamong you. Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves againsttomorrow: for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, There is a devoted thingin the midst of thee, O Israel; thou canst not stand before thine enemies, untilye take away the devoted thing from among you.

7:14 In the morning therefore ye shall be brought near by your tribes: and itshall be, that the tribe which Jehovah taketh shall come near by families; andthe family which Jehovah shall take shall come near by households; and thehousehold which Jehovah shall take shall come near man by man. And itshall be, that he that is taken with the devoted thing shall be burnt with fire,he and all that he hath; because he hath transgressed the covenant ofJehovah, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

7:16 So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel near bytheir tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken: and he brought near the familyof Judah; and he took the family of the Zerahites: and he brought near thefamily of the Zerahites man by man; and Zabdi was taken: and he broughtnear his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son ofZabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

7:19 And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory toJehovah, the God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me nowwhat thou hast done; hide it not from me. And Achan answered Joshua, andsaid, Of a truth I have sinned against Jehovah, the God of Israel, and thusand thus have I done: when I saw among the spoil a goodly Babylonishmantle, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fiftyshekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they arehid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

7:22 So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, itwas hid in his tent, and the silver under it. And they took them from themidst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children ofIsrael; and they laid them down before Jehovah. And Joshua, and all Israelwith him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the mantle, andthe wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and hisasses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought themup unto the valley of Achor.

7:12 Por esto los hijos de Israel no podrán hacer frente a sus enemigos, sinoque delante de sus enemigos volverán la espalda, por cuanto han venido aser anatema. No estaré más con vosotros si no hacéis desparecer el anatemade en medio de vosotros. 4:1 But it came to pass that, when Sanballat heard that we were buildingthe wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, Whatare these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will theysacrifice? Will they make an end in a day? Will they revive the stones out ofthe heaps of rubbish, seeing they are burned?

4:3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that whichthey are building, if a fox go up, he shall break down their stone wall. Hear,O our God; for we are despised: and turn back their reproach upon their ownhead, and give them up for a spoil in a land of captivity; and cover not theiriniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee; for they haveprovoked [thee] to anger before the builders. So we built the wall; and all thewall was joined together unto half [the height] thereof: for the people had amind to work.

4:7 But it came to pass that, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians,and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the repairing of the wallsof Jerusalem went forward, [and] that the breaches began to be stopped, thenthey were very wroth; and they conspired all of them together to come andfight against Jerusalem, and to cause confusion therein. But we made ourprayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because ofthem.

4:10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, andthere is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall. And ouradversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come into themidst of them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease. And it came topass that, when the Jews that dwelt by them came, they said unto us tentimes from all places, Ye must return unto us. Therefore set I in the lowestparts of the space behind the wall, in the open places, I set [there] the peopleafter their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

Edificamos, pues, el muro, y toda la muralla fueterminada hasta la mitad de su altura, porque el pueblo tuvo ánimo paratrabajar.

4:7 Pero aconteció que oyeron Sanbalat, Tobías, los árabes, los amonitas ylos de Asdod que los muros de Jerusalén eran reparados, pues ya las brechascomenzaban a ser cerradas, y se encolerizaron mucho. Conspiraron luegotodos a una para venir a atacar a Jerusalén y hacerle daño. Entonces oramosa nuestro Dios, y por culpa de ellos montamos guardia contra ellos de día yde noche.

4:10 Y decía Judá: Las fuerzas de los acarreadores se han debilitado y elescombro es mucho; no podremos reconstruir el muro. Nuestros enemigosdijeron: Que no sepan ni vean hasta que entremos en medio de ellos, losmatemos y hagamos cesar la obra. Pero sucedió que cuando venían losjudíos que vivían entre ellos, nos decían una y otra vez: De todos los lugaresdonde habitan, ellos caerán sobre vosotros. And it came to pass, when ourenemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counselto nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.And it came to pass from that time forth, that half of my servants wrought inthe work, and half of them held the spears, the shields, and the bows, and thecoats of mail; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

4:17 They all builded the wall and they that bare burdens laded themselves;every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other heldhis weapon; and the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side,and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me. And I said untothe nobles, and to the rulers and to the rest of the people, The work is greatand large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another: in whatplace so ever ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us; ourGod will fight for us.

4:21 So we wrought in the work: and half of them held the spears from therising of the morning till the stars appeared. Likewise at the same time said Iunto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, thatin the night they may be a guard to us, and may labor in the day. So neitherI, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard that followedme, none of us put off our clothes, every one [went with] his weapon [to] thewater.

4:22 Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one withhis servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard tous, and may labor in the day. So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants,nor the men of the guard that followed me, none of us put off our clothes,every one [went with] his weapon [to] the water.

Nehemiah 6:1 Now it came to pass, when it was reported to Sanballat andTobiah, and to Geshem the Arabian, and unto the rest of our enemies, that Ihad builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though evenunto that time I had not set up the doors in the gates;)

4:21 Así pues, mientras trabajábamos en la obra desde la subida del albahasta que salían las estrellas, la mitad de ellos montaban guardia con la lanzaen la mano.

4:22 También dije entonces al pueblo: - Cada uno con su criado permanezcadentro de Jerusalén; de noche sirvan de centinelas y de día trabajen en laobra. In Chapter 18, the idol worshippers are challenged by Elijah when Elijahbuilds an alter. The idol worshippers seek their gods to set fire to the alter.Elijah pours so much water on the alter, it fills the trenches around the alter.He prays to God to sends fire down and destroys the sacrifice. Elijah kills allof the prophets of Baal after the fire came down from heaven. Jezebel isblazing mad.

I Kings 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withalhow he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel send amessenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if Imake not thy life as the life of one of them by to-morrow about this time.And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

Text: I Samuel 15:1-3 And Samuel said unto Saul, Jehovah sent me toanoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearkenthou unto the voice of the words of Jehovah. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Ihave marked that which Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself againsthim in the way, when he came up out of Egypt. 15:7 And Saul smote the Amalekites, from Havilah as thou goest to Shur,that is before Egypt. 15:10 Then came the word of Jehovah unto Samuel, saying, It repenteth methat I have set up Saul to be king; for he is turned back from following me,and hath not performed my commandments. Behold, to obey is betterthan sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sinof witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because thouhast rejected the word of Jehovah, he hath also rejected thee from beingking. And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed thecommandment of Jehovah, and thy words, because I feared the people, andobeyed their voice.

15:25 Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me,that I may worship Jehovah. And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not returnwith thee; for thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, and Jehovah hathrejected thee from being king over Israel. And as Samuel turned about to goaway, [Saul] laid hold upon the skirt of his robe, and it rent. And Samuelsaid unto him, Jehovah hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day,and hath given it to a neighbor of thine, that is better than thou.

15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent; for he is not aman, that he should repent. Then he said, I have sinned: yet honor me now,I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn againwith me, that I may worship Jehovah thy God. So Samuel turned again afterSaul; and Saul worshipped Jehovah.

15:32 Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of theAmalekites. And Agag came unto him cheerfully. And Agag said, Surely thebitterness of death is past. And Samuel said, As thy sword hath madewomen childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. AndSamuel hewed Agag in pieces before Jehovah in Gilgal.

12:9 And he went out, and followed; and he knew not that it was true whichwas done by the angel, but thought he saw a vision. And when they werepast the first and the second guard, they came unto the iron gate that leadethinto the city; which opened to them of its own accord: and they went out,and passed on through one street; and straightway the angel departed fromhim.

12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a truth,that the Lord hath sent forth his angel and delivered me out of the hand ofHerod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. And when hehad considered [the thing], he came to the house of Mary the mother of Johnwhose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together and werepraying.

And when he knocked at the door of the gate, a maid came to answer, namedRhoda. And when she knew Peter`s voice, she opened not the gate for joy,but ran in, and told that Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her,Thou art mad. But she confidently affirmed that it was even so. And theysaid, It is his angel.

12:16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened, they sawhim, and were amazed. But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to holdtheir peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him forth out ofthe prison. And he said, Tell these things unto James, and to the brethren.And he departed, and went to another place.

12:6 Cuando Herodes lo iba a sacar, aquella misma noche estaba Pedrodurmiendo entre dos soldados, sujeto con dos cadenas, y los guardas delantede la puerta custodiaban la cárcel. Y se presentó un ángel del Señory una luz resplandeció en la cárcel; y tocando a Pedro en el costado, lodespertó, diciendo: Levántate pronto. Y las cadenas se le cayeron de lasmanos. Le dijo el ángel: Cíñete y átate las sandalias. Él lo hizo así. Y le dijo:Envuélvete en tu manto y sígueme.

12:9 Pedro salió tras el ángel, sin saber si lo que el ángel hacía era realidad;más bien pensaba que veía una visión. Habiendo pasado la primera y lasegunda guardia, llegaron a la puerta de hierro que daba a la ciudad, la cualse les abrió por sí misma. Salieron y pasaron una calle, y luego el ángel seapartó de él.

12:11 Entonces Pedro, volviendo en sí, dijo: Ahora entiendoverdaderamente que el Señor ha enviado su ángel y me ha librado de lamano de Herodes y de todo lo que el pueblo de los judíos esperaba. Al darsecuenta de esto, llegó a casa de María, la madre de Juan, el que tenía porsobrenombre Marcos. Muchos estaban allí reunidos orando.

Cuando Pedro llamó a la puerta del patio, salió a atender una muchachallamada Rode, la cual, al reconocer la voz de Pedro, de gozo no abrió lapuerta, sino que corriendo adentro dio la nueva de que Pedro estaba a lapuerta. Ellos le dijeron: - ¡Estás loca! Pero ella aseguraba que así era.Entonces ellos decían: - ¡Es su ángel!

12:16 Pero Pedro persistía en llamar; y cuando abrieron y lo vieron, sequedaron atónitos. Pero él, haciéndoles con la mano señal de que callaran,les contó como el Señor lo había sacado de la cárcel. Y dijo: - Haced saberesto a Jacobo y a los hermanos. Luego salió y se fue a otro lugar.
