Los verbos modales se usan con verbos principales para formar
afirmaciones o preguntas. Los modales no tienes conjugaciones y no
se pueden usar sin verbo principal
Can: En espaol significa poder, indica posibilidad capacidad, en
preguntas se utiliza para solicitar el permiso para hacer algo
preguntando por una posibilidad
Ejemplos (oraciones) En pregunta : can someone tell me the
answer En afirrmacion :Maybe they can help you will that En
negativa: she cant /can nest go out side now Traduccion Podras
decirme la respuesta Tal vez ellos pueden ayudarte con eso Ella no
puede ir afuera ahora
Could: representa en pasado una peticin, posibilidad o
capacidad

En pregunta: could you go and see a doctor En afirmacin: you
could come with me En negativa: he could/couldnt be the
morderer
Traduccion: Podras ir a un doctor Podrias venir conmigo El no
podra ser el asesino
May - Might: son sinnimos e indican una accin que podra pasar en
el futuro
Ejemplos (oraciones)
En pregunta : may i go to the park ?(puedi ir al parque) En
afirmacin:it might be sunny today ( puede ser que hoy sea un dia
soleadoEn negativa: this may not be an idea (esto puede no ser una
idea)
Must:este verbo indica obligacin,puede indicar probabilidades o
suposiciones , en preguntas informativas puede ser annimo de
should
Ejemplos (oraciones)
Pregunta afirmativa:when should/must webe there ?( cuando
debemos estar alla) Afirmacion: You must be so happy ( debe estar
tan feliz) Negativa: I must/must not do that(no debo hace eso)
Should .este verbo indica obligacin moral y en ocaciones
consejos; should y ought son sinnimos
Ejemplos (oraciones)
Pregunta : should you call yoor mother( deberas llamar a tu
madre) Afirmacion: I should stay here tonight ( debera quedar aqu
esta noche) Negativa:they should/should not play wiht that ( ellos
no deberan jugar con eso )
Will : sinnimo de shall , e indica una intencin o accin que
pasara el futuro , en preguntas se usan para saber de opciones o
datos
Ejemplos (oraciones)
Preguntas : will i play soccer? (jugare futbol) Afirmacion :we
will come for christmas (vendremos en navidad)Negativa:you will not
turn the tv (ustedes no encendern la televisin) Would : este modal
seguido de like es una forma cortes , una preferencia en preguntas
would like es una forma cortes de solicitar una decisin.
Ejemplos (oraciones) Pregunta : would you come here ?(favor de
venir aqu) Afirmacion :you would go out with me (saldras afuera
conmigo) Negativa:she wouldnt/would not go down the staires (ella
