Resumen

Nueva jornada de susto en los mercado de renta variable en una sesión que se presumía clave
para calibrar los ánimos de los inversores. Pero tras una horas titubeantes en Europa en las que no se veía de
forma clara la dirección a tomar, la apertura en rojo de los índices norteamericanos terminó de precipitarlo todo
hasta un nuevo cierre con fuertes caídas. En concreto el Eurostoxx perdía -2,24%, con el Dax y el MIB italiano
siendo los más perjudicados con retrocesos del -2,62% y -2,26% respectivamente.
En EE.UU la apertura no parecía que iba a desencadenar una nueva sesión de fuertes recortes.
Pero el avance de la jornada volvió a la rutina de los últimos días con las pérdidas acelerándose a medida que
avanzaba la sesión. Al final, el Dow Jones se dejaba un -4,15% y perdía la cota de los 24.000 puntos, el
S&P500 un -3,75% y el Nasdaq un --3,9%.
Destacó, un día más, los niveles en los que se movió la rentabilidad del bono a 10 años americano
que siguió en máximos de los últimos 4 años. También resaltar la reunión celebrada por el Banco de Inglaterra
en la que, si bien hubo unanimidad a la hora de mantener en el mismo nivel los tipos de interés, su Gobernador,
Mark Carney, lanzaba un mensaje en el que comenzaba a preparar al mercado ante una subida de tipos de
interés antes de lo previsto con el objetivo de devolver la inflación a su objetivo del 2% desde las cotas cercanas
al 3% que roza en la actualidad.
En cuanto a los valores, protagonizaron la jornada las subidas de TDC que experimentaba
crecimientos de un +20% en su valor después de que varios fondos de pensiones hablaran de una posible
oferta por la compañía. En menor medida también destacaban las inglesas Beazley y Compass con subidas de
un +5% después de superar las estimaciones en el caso de la primera y una subida de recomendación a
comprar para la segunda. En la parte baja de la tabla situamos a Talk Talk con recortes de un -8%, después de
colocar un paquete del 20% de su capital a 107p. Tate & Lyle caía un 6% debido a que la moneda le afecta en
sus estimaciones y Steinhoff volvió a sonar en nuestros oídos tras bajar un -6%.
En pre-market vemos como las Bolsas abrirán en negativo tras la mala jornada de ayer en EE.UU,
especialmente para el Dow Jones que recortó un -4%. Los futuros y spreads europeos pronostican leves caídas
para el Eurostoxx e Ibex. En los valores los que más destacan son subidas de L’Oreal de un +2% tras buenos
resultados en LFL Sales y las declaraciones de su CEO que dice que seria comprador del stake en Nestle,
marcando esta ultima tambien subidas del +0.3%. En Commerzbank y Deutsche bank también se estiman
subidas del +1.7% y +1% respectivamente, tras los buenos resultados publicados ayer, que se reflejaron en
importantes subidas durante la jornada. Los suizos ABB y UBS se estima que abran a la baja un -0.9%, y
tambien lo haria Lufthansa en la misma medida.
En nuestro Laboratorio hemos querido estudiar hoy la evolución que han tenido en los últimos años
los países de Europa Central, una lista de la que hemos excluido a Alemania ya que hace pocos días
lanzábamos una idea sobre ella, y en la que sí hemos incluido a Austria, Suiza, Polonia y Luxemburgo.

P/B, deuda/Ebitda, crecimiento BPA a 5 años, upside y consensus rating, y que nos ayudará a desvelar a las

LÓREAL: La compañía francesa de cosméticos publicó ayer tras el cierre sus cifras anuales por
encima de lo esperado. Ventas 26,02 bn€ > 25,84 bn€ e cons, con un LFL del +4,8%. Bº operativo
4,68 bn€ < 4,71 bn€ e cons y vs 4,54 bn€ yoy. Bº neto 3,58 bn€ vs 3,11 bn€ yoy. Han propuesto un
dividendo de 3,55 €/acc. El management destacaba el fuerte rebote de la demanda global en la
división de lujo, con especial atención en Asia.
AMUNDI: La gestora francesa de fondos de inversión ha publicado esta mañana los resultados del
4T17 y ha lanzado un ambicioso plan estratégico a 2020. Ingresos netos 751 M€ vs 447 M€ yoy.
Gross profit ajustado 370 M€ vs 212 M€ yoy. Bº antes de impuestos 370 M€ vs 2129 M€ yoy. Bº neto
ajustado 269 M€ vs 156 M€ yoy. Para 2020 esperan unas entradas netas de fondos de, al menos, 150
bn€ y obtener un beneficio neto para dicha fecha de 1 bn€.
MEDIOBANCA: La entidad italiana también ha desvelado hoy los resultados del 2T fiscal los cuales
se han situado por encima de lo esperado. Ingresos totales 571,5 M€ +5% yoy, de donde el margen
de intermediación ha sido 340,4 M€ vs 321,4 M€ yoy y comisiones netas 152,9 M€ vs 130,8 M€ yoy.
Las provisiones por morosidad han sido de 58,6 M€ vs 93,1 M€ yoy. Bº neto 175,4 M€ > 150,3 M€ e
cons y vs 147,5 M€ yoy. El management ha subido el objetivo de payout al 40%-50% vs 40% anterior
gracias a la buena evolución del negocio.
AP MOLLER MAERSK: El gigante danés de transporte marítimo y logística ha publicado los
resultados anuales por debajo de estimaciones. Ventas 30,9 bn$. Ebitda 3,53 bn$ < 3,64 bn$ e cons.
Ebit 641 M$ < 1,03 bn$ e cons. Bº ajustado 356 M$ < 425,4 M$ e cons. Han propuesto un dividendo
de 150 DKK/acc. Para 2018 han comentado que esperan que el Ebitda se sitúe en el rango de los ⅘
bn$ y que el Bº neto ajustado se sitúe por encima del logrado en este 2017.
KINNEVIK: El hólding sueco especializado en el consumo digital ha publicado las cifras
correspondientes a 2017. Net Asset Value 90,6 bn SEk vs 72,4 bn SEK yoy. Bº neto 20,3 bn SEK vs -
3,5 bn SEK yoy. Han propuesto un dividendo de 8,25 SEK/acc < 8,27 SEK/acc e cons.
ROYAL DUTCH SHELL: Mientras muchas petroleras empiezan el repliegue en sus operaciones
minoristas, Royal Dutch Shell Plc ha decidido redoblar su apuesta. El gigante anglo holandés que
tiene alrededor de 44,000 estaciones de servicio en todo el mundo, abrió el año pasado en México su
primera gasolinera, lo que supone el comienzo de 1 bn$ en inversiones programadas para los
próximos 10 años. Shell también está aumentando el desarrollo en China, India, Indonesia y Rusia.
REPSOL: Leemos en El Confidencial que el fondo de capital riesgo CVC ha pedido un crédito de 1,4
bn€ para comprarle a Repsol su participación del 20% en Gas Natural Fenosa.
ABERTIS: La concesionaria española aceptaba ayer ceder a Red Eléctrica el derecho para adquirir
el 33% de Hispasat por un importe de 302 M€, un precio ya pactado con Eutelsat.

BROADCOM: El gigante tecnológico reiteraba ayer su oferta de 82 $/acc por Qualcomm y la
calificaba como “best and final”, mientras que ésta la rechaza al considerar que infravalora el potencial
de la misma. El consejo de Qualcomm se ha ofrecido a reunirse con el de Broadcom con el objetivo
de intentar reconducir las diferencias que les separa en cuanto a valoración y encaje.
BOEING: Rumores de mercado apuntan a que el fabricante aeroespacial habría iniciado las primeras
conversaciones con Woodward, especializada en sistemas de control para aviones, para estudiar
una posible acuerdo entre ambas. Se especula que la operación sería más como una joint venture
que mediante adquisición.
TWITTER: Las acciones de la red social se disparaban ayer en su mayor movimiento desde su salida
a bolsa en 2013, tras publicar unos magníficos resultados. Dichos números del 4T, superan las
estimaciones de todos los analistas, impulsado por las mejoras en su aplicación y el contenido de
video agregado que están persuadiendo a los anunciantes a aumentar el gasto en la red social. Por
fin obtenían un beneficio real tras un recorte en los gastos y mejorando los márgenes. Y la huida de
su COO hace que la compañía crezca en seriedad y posibles escenarios de M&A.

Un correctivo como el que estamos viendo estos días en los mercados de renta variable
tiene la particularidad de no dejar indiferente a nadie: por un lado aleja durante algún tiempo a
muchos inversores que ven estas caídas como el principio de una tendencia bajista y, por otro, ayuda
a otros a redoblar sus esfuerzos en la búsqueda de nuevas oportunidades de inversión.
Nuestra idea de hoy la hemos querido basar en un área geográfica con un buen
comportamiento en líneas generales. Nos estamos refiriendo a los países de Europa Central, del que
hemos excluido a Alemania ya que días atrás lanzábamos una idea específica sobre ella. En este
caso, hemos seleccionado a Austria, Suiza, Polonia y Luxemburgo. Nos ha parecido interesante hacer
un repaso general sobre cuál ha sido su evolución en los últimos años y, además, ver si podemos dar
con la estrategia que sea capaz de seleccionar las ideas más interesantes de cada uno de los países.
Tal y como podemos ver en el gráfico siguiente, el mercado que sobresale por encima de
todos es el austriaco (línea blanca) quien desde junio de 2016 ha entrado en una tendencia alcista
que solo parece haber encontrado el freno en estos últimos días de recortes generalizados. El otro
destacado es el polaco (línea amarilla) quién tardó en rebotar unos meses más tarde, en este caso en
diciembre de 2016 y quien no pudo aguantar el fuerte ritmo de su rival polaco. Los otros dos
mercados, Luxemburgo (línea roja) y Suiza (línea naranja) son el perfecto ejemplo de mercado lateral.

Nuestro punto de partida lo fijamos en el universo de compañías cotizadas en los 4 países
que suman un total de 2416. Como siempre hacemos, el primer filtro de selección lo centramos en el
total de casas de análisis que cubren a cada uno de los valores. Para esta estrategia fijamos un
mínimo de 8, lo que hace que el total de compañías se reduzca de 2416 a 124. Con este grupo
seleccionado aplicamos nuestro sistema de puntuación simultánea. Consiste en otorgar una serie de
puntos en función del puesto que hayan obtenido en esa clasificación de 124 nombres.

El objetivo es sumar la menor cantidad de puntos posibles entre una serie de ratios que,
para la estrategia de hoy son: PER, P/B, deuda/Ebitda, crecimiento BPA de los últimos 5 años, upside
y consensus rating. En este caso concedemos 1 punto al que tenga el PER, P/B y deuda/Ebitda más
bajo y vamos subiendo hasta llegar al 124. En el caso del crecimiento BPA, upside y consensus rating
será al revés, es decir, el que más alto tenga cada uno de ellos sumará 1 punto y el que menor 124.
El resultado es el que os mostramos en la siguiente tabla en el que, tal y como podemos
ver el resultado es muy variado en cuanto a los candidatos seleccionados y, por otro lado, las
diferencias de puntos entre los 4 primeros son más bien escasas.
Hacemos la prueba de backtesting para comprobar la validez o no de la estrategia esta
vez en nuestros formatos habituales: plazo de observación 3 años y revisiones mensuales. El
resultado que obtenemos es positivo ya que la rentabilidad que habríamos obtenido durante este
tiempo bajo estos criterios habría sido del +61,25% vs +17,25% del Stoxx600, que es nuestro
benchmark de hoy. Es importante destacar cómo desde mediados de 2016 la estrategia comienza a
distanciarse claramente del índice hasta llegar a nuestros días donde la diferencia del spread se sitúa
en máximos.
