During the Spanish civil war, Albacete was the headquarters of the international brigades The Great hotel of Albacete was the place that the controls occupied

This small Spanish Civil War air-raid shelter

1937. The shelter was constructed by fonds

from citizens and voluntary work.

MEMORANDUM OF CPAZ ACTIVITIES

Since its opening on the 30th of January 2007 The Centre for Interpretation and Peace Awareness has carried out multiple activities to go even deeper into the culture for peace, proof of this is the more than 73.000 visitors that have visited over the last 20 months. Temporary exhibitions, presentation of books or concerts are some of the events that have taken place in this small Spanish Civil War air-raid shelter.
