All about networksThe computing network:
A computer network is a set of devices interconnected among themwho through a medium, exchange information and share resources. Basically, communication within a computer network is a process in which there are two well-defined roles for connected devices, transmitter and receiver, which are assuming and alternating in different moments of time. Networking is simply the joining of data from two or more computers through a transmission medium.
Classification:
LAN: structuring of networks whose components are in relatively short distance and because of its proximity are permitted to use a coaxial cable.
WLAN: is a network that uses wireless LAN media. It is widely used for its scalability because it requires no configuration and installation of cables.CAN: is a network of high-speed devices connecting LANs via a limited geographical area, such as a university campus, a military base, etc. Do not use public transport.
VLAN: It is a type of logical or virtual LAN, mounted on a physical network, in order to increase safety and performance.
In special cases, thanks to 802.11Q protocol (also called
QinQ).
Types of networksShared networks: They are a large number of users join, sharing all transmission needs.
Multipoint networks: It allows the union of several terms to its corresponding computer sharing a single transmission line.
Packet communication networks: They are networks in which nodes are processors that regulate concentration packet traffic.
Digital networks: technological developments are based on digital transmission and switching and is a digital network testament use of services ranges.
Public networks: They are those belonging to state bodies and are open to anyone who asks for them the corresponding contact.
Large enterprise network: expands the network of companies and releases the traffic problems in networks.
