GENERALIDADES

Pertenece a las cefaleas primarias. Es el dolor de cabeza mas frecuente en la población general. Prevalencia entre un 30 – 80%. Generalmente son del genero femenino (80%) y en la raza blanca

(65%). Incidencia 30.3/1000 en varones, y 55.4/1000 en mujeres. Mas frecuente en la segunda década de la vida.

Sensibilizacion de los receptores miofasciales en TTH episódica.

• Primera elección.

• Reducción de hasta 34% y 45% respectivamente.

• Resultados prometedores pero preliminares.

• Segunda línea.
