Challenges
4
• Anti-Collition– Tupilco 85 ct-to-ct distance of 11.31 mts @ surface and up to 180 mts MD– Field with many BLIND vertical wells and with OSF less than 1
Challenges
5
• Geological Faults– Primary Objective (A18-
A10) delimited by geological faults. @ 2372 TVD.
– Needed to drill minimizing Ct-to-Ct separation from Plan
– Holding a Max angle of 51 deg, Inclination. (Hole Cleaning!)

Well Objectives
6
• Type “J” Well, drilled in 2 stages, 12 ¼” and 8 ½”– Last Well drilled with this particular client, they were introducing their own DD
Services. Important to demonstrate Schlumberger’s superior performance.
• 12 ¼” Section (150 mts – 1050 mts MD):– Vertical from 150 mts MD to 180 mts MD and then nudge (4° Inc, 272.7° Az, 1°
DLS) to reduce AC Risks with nearby BLIND wells.– After nudge (@300 mts MD), drop inclination to 0 deg, and drill vertical again up to
1050 mts MD for Casing Depth
• 8 1/2” Section (1050 mts – 1050 mts MD):– Drill vertical from 1050 mts MD up to 1630 mts MD.– KOP @ 1630 mts building a max. Inclination of 50.04°, 272.78° AZ, 1.9° DLS. – From 2420 mts MD hold tangent section to TD, VS Reached: 1132 mts

• Approach
– Reamed each Joint 2 times @ 40 srpm, continuously monitoring S&V.
– Every 6 joints pumped a “Dispersing Pill””to create turbulence, followed by a “Viscous Pill” to carry cuttings to surface.
– Short Trip from Mid-Curve to Notch. Then a 2nd from TD to beginning of Curve. Then POOH.

• Ended 2 Days ahead of Drill Plan• No SQ incidents related to Stuck Pipe• Delimited Objectives Not Compromised• Client recognized SLB’s Value & Expertise
