Large Organizations are Spending Billions on Developing Artificial Intelligence

And lots and lots of others – first to market race is on

Page 3: AI LV 2017 Presentation

So are many governments (in order of spending)

Using forecasted AI technological breakthroughs, revenues could surpass

$125 Billion by 2020.

AI revenues are expected to surpass $47 Billion by 2020*

But this is based on 'current technology' implementations.

*IDC

But efficiency gains could generateup to $500 Billion in benefits.

Page 5: AI LV 2017 Presentation

Efficiency gains will be derived from:

Reduced cost from high efficiency operations

New technological innovations

Reduced costs in labor and production

Improved use of resources, health care and gains in education

Private development of AI requires near term delivery of usable technology as a target.

We need to branch off foundational designsto deliver functionality to meet current demands by

adding near term functionality to the development roadmap.

Some of the demand is not well 'acknowledged' such as improved policing or even emergency response.

Demand will need to be grown or marketed but it already exists.

Page 14: AI LV 2017 Presentation

Two options that we have chosen to focus on for our cognitive designs are emergency management

and assistive technologies.

Response Systems

We need to close the gap between sensory perception and response

Page 19: AI LV 2017 Presentation

Key Deliverables Include:

Part 1 - Sensory acceptance and interpretation

Part 2 - Data processing, context and relevance

Part 3 - Decision machine - response delivery mechanism

Page 20: AI LV 2017 Presentation

Policing – Using video and security systems and big data to track, arrest, prosecute offenders and manage/improve incarceration/rehabilitation.

Emergency Response and Mitigation – Modeling and responseplanning including rapid resource allocation and co-ordination

Heath Care & Assistive Technology – Response to human interface devices such as physical assistive devices for health care and aging

IoT – Internet of things sensory input and distributed device management

Self driving vehicles – Rapid sensory response to changing environments

New tech and research – Application of big data and modeling

Finance and customer service – Investments, banking and CRM

High Growth / High Value Demand Areas for AINear Term Functional Targets
