$etho*s for learning A new languageage one" tips

Traditional ethod

This metho* is the simplest but least effectie. <rite out =0 to => new wor*s in a column. ut foreign wor*son the left an* their translation to #our natie language on the right. ocus on memori2ing the wor*s for goo*.

It is important to concentrate #our attention. Now rea* the whole list carefull# line b# line. Then hae a ten minute brea- *oing something else. After that

coer the left column an* tr# to recall the script an* pronunciation of all the wor*s from the list. 6-ip the wor*

if #ou cant recall it for long.+ae another fie minute brea-. Then recall all the wor*s again. Tr# to concentrate #our attention on the

wor*s #ou coul* not recall the first time.

,o on reiewing until #ou are able to recollect the translation of all the wor*s from #our list %howeer put the

learning off if #ou feel tire*). +ae a rest now. It is nee*e* for #our brain to regain its strength.;eiew #our wor* list in ?('0 hours after #oue learne* them. Then reiew it each =4 hours. The total of four

reisions is re8uire* an* enough.

Note: It is goo* to put new wor*s on 0"@ '"= inch car*s with Armenian wor*s on one si*e an* theirtranslation on the other si*e.

Passi!e perception ethod

;ecor* 40 to >0 new Armenian wor*s with their translations. 9isten to the recor*ing as man# times as possibleat normal olume leel. ou *ont nee* to pa# an# attention to what #ou hear. After a great *eal of pla#bac-s

the wor*s will be memori2e* of their own accor*.

"hi#t to the s$bconscio$s ethod

$emori2ing is soun* with this metho* though significant inner effort is re8uire*. The metho* is to be use*

 before going to be* onl#.

irst" ma-e a list of =0 wor*s as #ou *i* with the tra*itional metho*. ocus on the tas- of memori2ing thewor*s for goo*. 6train all #our will an* attention.

;emaining highl# concentrate*" rea* the first wor* an* its translation out lou*. Imagine the wor* as brightl#

as possible. Now" sta# focuse* an* repeat the wor* again in a whisper" an* one more time to #ourself with #our e#es

close*. After this rela for '> secon*s an* go to the net wor*.

Thus" all the information will shift to the subconscious. ou shoul* not thin- about the wor*s an#more when

#ou go to sleep. ;eiew the wor*s in the morning.

%i!ide&and&cobine ethod

+ere an Armenian wor* shoul* be *ii*e* into s#llables. or each Armenian s#llable fin* a wor* from #our

natie language that woul* begin in a similar wa#. Now loo- at the eamples:Eample

'(pnopedia ethod

+ere #ou will learn new wor*s while #ou are sleepingB ou will nee* an assistance.;ecor* &> to >0 Armenian wor*s an* phrases an* their translation to #our natie language. Cust before going

to be* rea* the wor*s alou* slowl# from #our list an* then listen to the recor*ing two times. !o not focus on

what #ou hear but simpl# repeat the wor*s alou*. ou can fall asleep after that. After #ou hae fallen asleep #our assistant shoul* pla# the recor*ing *uring 40 minutes seeral times re*ucing

lou*ness gra*uall#. In the morning the process shoul* be repeate* in the reerse or*er. our assistant shoul*

start pla#bac- half an hour before #ou wa-e up. +e or she shoul* ma-e lou*ness low at the beginning an*

increase it gra*uall# so that it ma-e #ou wa-e up after half an hour. Deing wo-en up" listen to the en* of the

of much argument an* *ebate both in an* out of Armenia. The s#stem use* now is the from the 9ibrar# of

1ongress 6#stem" but *ierges from it as often as not" simpl# because we want to simplif# the pronunciationfor the untraine* ear.

The tranliteration use* here is a simple one. +ere is a short list of some common changes within *ifferent

transliteration s#stems in written Eastern Armenian so #ou can un*erstan* someone no matter which s#stemthe# use" although" remember that the wor*s are still pronounce* the same.
