CAPE HORNEl último vestigio de tierra firme, antes de cruzar el Paso Drake, es
Cabo de Hornos.Descubierto en 1616 por navegantes holandeses se convirtió en una de las principales rutas marítimas de inter-cambio de mercancías desde Medio Oriente a Europa.Este mítico lugar atrae a los mas aveza-dos navegantes que año tras año vienen a desafiar los arremolinados vientos para obtener el preciado galardón de ser uno de los mejores navegantes del mundo.El Parque Nacional Cabo de Hornos fue declarado Reserva de la Biosfera por UNESCO en 2005.

Discovered in 1616 by Dutch sailors became a major maritime route of trade in goods from the Middle East to Europe. This mythical place attracts the most seasoned yachtsmen who come year after year to challenge the swirling winds to obtain the precious reward of being one of the best sailor on Earth. Cape Horn National Park was declared Natural Biosphere Reserve by Unesco in year 2005.

levanta orgullosa como unos de los asentamientos indígenas mas impor-tantes de la cultura Yamana, A esta desolada bahía llego un joven llamado Charles Darwin en 1831 durante su pri-mer viaje alrededor del globo.
As part of the treasures of this southern geography, Wulaia
stands proud as one of the most outs-tanding ancient settlement of the Ya-mana Natives. At this isolated shore arrived in late 1831 Charles Darwin du-ring his first voyage around the globe.

PUERTO WILLIAMS Situada al interior de la isla Nava-rino, Puerto Williams es nuestro
ultimo contacto con lo urbano. Fun-dado en 1953, marca la soberanía en el sector oriental del canal Beagle, por esta razón, hoy es la capital del Territo-rio Antártico Chileno… Pocas personas viven aquí, lejos de las aceleradas capitales, rodeados de mon-tañas nevadas y un sinnúmero de fior-dos y canales que conducen a majes-tuosos glaciares de hielos milenarios.
Situated inland Navarino island, Puerto Williams is our last con-
tact with the urban. Founded in 1953, marks Chilean sove-reignty at the eastern side of Beagle Channel, due to nowadays is capital of the Chilean Antarctic Territory. Not many people live here, out of stressful capitals, surrounded by snow capped mountains and countless fjords & channels leading to majestic glaciers of ancient times.

GASTRONOMYAl hablar de gastronomía patagó-nica, es imposible no mencionar
la Centolla, que deleita paladares en cualquier parte del mundo y que tiene su origen aquí en las heladas aguas del Canal Beagle.Existe una ruta trazada para quienes desean vivir junto a los hombres de mar el itinerario de varios días de rigores cli-máticos, de esfuerzo y soledad, para al-canzar el premio que sus blancas carnes representan a la hora de los banquetes.

tion the highlight King Crab, which delights tastes anywhere in world, and has its origins in the coldest southern waters of the Beagle channel. There is a drawn route for those who want to experience a day like a fisher-man, bearing harsh weather and lone-liness, to get the prize of its white flesh when banquets.

OMORA PARK

Omora which means “hum-mingbird” in Yagan language,
gives name to the Ethno Botanical Park which gather a variety of local vegeta-tion of the southernmost Patagonia. Since 2000 has become a place visited and praised by Scientifics of everywhe-re in world who come to enjoy wide range of species of lichens, mosses and liverworts that gives shape to stunning “ Miniature Forest of Cape Horn”.
El Parque Omora, que en lengua yagan significa colibrí, reúne di-
versas especies de la vegetación que crecen en la Patagonia más austral… Desde su creación en el año 2000 se ha convertido en un lugar visitado por científicos de diversas latitudes que lle-gan a deleitarse con la variedad de es-pecies de líquenes, musgos y hepáticas que conforman el fascinante Bosque en Miniatura de Cabo de Hornos.
PARQUE OMORA
Cercana a Puerto Williams se en-cuentra Ukika, la comunidad en
la que habitan la ultima descendiente yagan, Cristina Calderon. Siguiendo la enseñanza de sus antecesores se dedica principalmente a las labores de pesca y artesanía, reproduciendo cestos de junco y pequeñas canoas, instrumentos de la vida diaria de tiempos de antaño, cuando surcaban libres los canales aus-trales.

Near to Puerto Williams is Ukika Village, community where live
the last descendant of Yagan Natives, Cristina Calderon. As her ancestors she’s devoted mainly to fishing activities and handicrafts making reed baskets and small canoes, daily tools of ancient ti-mes, when they sail as free through the southern channels.

NAVARINO’S SCENIC ROUTESe inicia en Puerto Williams para llegar a Puerto Navarino, lugar
que resguarda la entrada occidental del canal Beagle.El recorrido, bordea de manera terres-tre la Isla Navarino . El diseño de esta ruta está concebido para ofrecer una síntesis del paisaje de Cabo de Hornos, y como dice su nombre, reúne entor-nos majestuosos de bosques milena-rios, avistamientos de islas y la forma-ción montañosa Dientes de Navarino. En esta senda se encuentran conchales, fauna marina, vegetación briófita, ce-menterios yaganes y misiones inglesas abandonadas.
It begins in Puerto Williams in order to get to puerto Navarino,
a place that safeguards the western entrance of the Beagle Channel. The route, borders land along the Navarino Island and is designed to provide a syn-thesis of the Cape Horn landscape. As its name states, the area is surrounded by majestic forested environments. Through this path you can find shell middens, marine wildlife, briófita vegi-tation, Yagan cemeteries and abando-ned British missions.

patagónica austral, como refugio de las embarcaciones y de las vidas de los navegantes, que principalmente a par-tir del siglo XVI, surcando estas aguas, buscando otros destinos.Por estas rutas marítimas hicieron historia Drake, Fitz Roy, entre otros intrépidos hombres que desafiaron lo desconocido y dirigieron, con sus testimonios, otras brújulas hacia estos puertos lejanos del fin del mundo.
The Beagle has been used in the middle of the Patagonian vast-
ness, as ship shelter from the sixteenth century, sailing the sea, looking for new destinations.For these sailing routes made history Drake, Fitz Roy, among other intrepid men who braved the unknown and made with his testimony other com-passes to these faraway ports far end of the world.

THE FLAG’S HILL Desde Puerto Williams, avanzan-do hacia la cascada “La Virgen” a
través de un tupido bosque de lenga se inicia la caminata al Cerro La Ban-dera, desde cuya cima a 600 metros de altura se puede observar la grandeza escénica del Canal Beagle rodeado de cadenas montañosas y Los Dientes de Navarino. Simplemente un lugar que invita a contemplar sin palabras.
From Puerto Williams onwards “La Virgen” waterfall, walking
through a thick beech forest start the trek to Cerro La Bandera (Flag Hill) from which top 1900ft above you’ll be able to enjoy incredibly sights of the Bea-gle Channel surrounded by mountain ranges and The Dientes de Navarino peaks. The scenic beauty of this place is absolutely fascinating.
