I chose to research and review information about the LMS Rcampus. One of the appealing things about this LMS was the statement on the home page

that this system integrates Google Apps. I was immediately intrigued because I work with Google Apps a lot right now. This feature would

personally appeal to me in the future if I was to consider a LMS.

Rcampus Enterprise is designed for a school or organization that wants to obtain a license and pay for additional services (i.e. accreditation services, administrative control, etc…). Rcampus Personal is a free service obtained by creating a username and a password. You are able to take advantage of

many of the services for your personal use or creating a classroom environment.

Communication Tools

#1 iRubricsTeachers can post their rubrics online for all students to see so that their expectations are very transparent. Feedback can be posted in this area as well

#2 eCommunitiesStudents and teachers can use calendars, discussion boards, publishing boards and websites to communicate or share work and discuss work. There is also compatibility with Google Apps to connect teachers and students.

Collaboration Tools

This LMS offers eCommunities and ePortals to create study groups, tutor rooms, clubs, departments, and committees for collaboration. Members of these groups would have the ability to work on projects together and the access to do work on different projects that are centrally located within the LMS. There are calendars, discussion boards and other tools (ePortfolios) to publish work online as well as develop a sense of community.

Ease of Use, Visual Appeal & Tech Support

I found this site with sample LMS views easy to understand and learn. With some self exploration, I think it would be easy for most people to learn the features.Everything is well organized and the screens are consistent and features fairly standard when compared to other LMS I have seen.Tech Support was not readily accessible but an email address was provided to contact them for support or to view a demo: [email protected]
