Why Ecosafe

Technology has over 19 years in R&D, bench

scale testing, pilot projects, and full scale

projects. Started marketing since 2011.

Countries used in: US, PR, Brazil, Argentina,

Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia,Nigeria,

Trinidad & Tobago.

Tested, certified, and approved by the USEPA,

USDOE, FDEP, EQB, and Wyoming Oil & Gas

Conservation Commission , SEMARNAT

(Mexico), CORNARE (Colombia), DPR (Nigeria)

NOSDRA ( Nigeria)

3

End liability on-site. No transportation or disposal.

Degrade organics down to nitrates, oxygen, carbon

dioxide, and water (innocuous material)

Why Ecosafe

Reduce cost by 45%

Reduce remediation time by at

least 75% compared to actual

technologies in the market,

reducing project completion to

mere months instead of years.

4

Advantages of In-situ Chemical Treatment

Can be performed on site

Minimizes site disruption

Eliminates transportation costs and liabilities

Eliminates waste permanently (end potential

liability on site)

Less expensive mechanical/biological systems are

used

Can be coupled with other techniques into a

treatment train, it can degrade the organic charge

of a Waste Water Treatment Plan to bring it into

compliance and increase capacity.

5

Technology Summary

The process accelerates one or

more of the same geochemical

dissolution reactions that alters

contaminant concentration in

groundwater and soil matrix

system such as:

Desorption

Reduction/Oxidation reactions (In the

water phase)

Biodegradation (Secondary effect)

6

Technology ApproachIn-situ Chemical Treatment

In situ chemical degradation allows Treatment of contaminated soils and waste deposit to be performed in place.

By using this treatment method, treatment agents can be delivered directly to the contaminated source. ECOSAFE ® degrades contaminants on contaminated soil and groundwater simultaneously.

7

Contact WatersTreatmentContact Waters are generated as a result of the E&P and Refinery activities. These contact waters are treated with the same product under air injection and agitation to reduce contaminants to regulatory levels.

USDOE case study treated produced waters. GPET then remediated a sludge pit by recycling product within treated produced waters creating great efficiencies.

Several samples of cases treated are included in this presentation.

Selected Engagements16

First In-situ Treatment of multi-

matrices in the Peruvian Amazon at the

National Reverve Pacaya Samiria in

Yanayacu, Loreto State, Peru

17

18

First site to be cleaned for Pluspetrol Norte SA in Yanayacu, Loreto Peru, were we

performed the pilot project. This is a National Reserve known as Pacaya Samiria a

very ecological sensitive area. See the 25 year old weathered crude spill.

19

View of the enclosed treatment cell in Yanayacu, Peru

20

Injection of degradation agent (ECOSAFE® EMS) directly to the contaminated sediment in the

bottom of the lagoon under 2 M of water through injection wells. We treated 3M of sediment

21

Aeration and mechanical mixing of the treatment cell to help in desorption and degradation

by REDOX

22

Desorbed crude oil interphase surfacing by desorption from the contaminated sediment in the

bottom of the lagoon. The weathered crude oil in the interphase lost all its chemical and physical

properties, appreciate the transformation of crude oil into a black foam interphase.

23

Compressed air application to the system for desorption and supply of oxygen for the REDOX reaction

24

Weathered crude oil losing its Chemical and Physical properties in the Interphase, see the

bubble formation and the micro-emulsions, Redox degradation in process. Notice the sheen

coming out of the well and no formation of crude spots on surface.

25

Surface treatment of desorbed crude oil in one of the quadrants of treatment cell

26

Surface treatment of the desorbed crude oil to accelerate the treatment system

27

28

29

Clean debris of roots and vegetation that was impacted at the bottom of the lagoon as part of the

composition of the sediment column surfacing clean after homogenation of the impacted sediment

with the treatment solution, injection events and mechanical mixing by the amphibious excavator. .

30

31

32

Notice the amazing algae growth after a 15 months of treatment of the enclosed cell. Great Bio-

indicator. The treatment cell was kept to view effects after in-situ treatment with time.

33

Five years after treatment, notice the color of the

water in the treatment cell.

34

Plume determination and proposed enclose of 1.7 impacted hectares for in-situ treatment in 2015

35

Layout of the enclosure for the treatment of 1.7 Hectares with equipment stations and injection wells.

Equipment's to be used, compressors, pumps, floating dredge barge and double purpose injection wells
