    ABSTRACT. Droseragraomogolenszs . Silva sp.nov. is described romthe region of Grao-Mogol,MinasGerais,Brazil.The species is included nsectionDroseraand is related o D. villosa A. St.Hilaire.The morphologicalharactershatdistin-guish it fromotherspecies in the section aredis-cussed,togetherwithdetails of habitat.

    According o Silva (1994), the genusDroseranBrazilhas a shortstem, 0.5-1.0 cm (rarelyong);spatulateeaves(rarelyinear),withstipules rarelywithout);wo to many lowersocatedon cymein-florescences; gynoeciumwith3 or 5 carpels,with3 bipartite tyles nearlyto the base or 5 wholestyles,and 5 or6 lobed, wo-lipped, lavateorfim-briatestigmas.The fruitsare capsuleswith 3 or 5valves,containingnumerouseeds withreticulateorpapillose esta.In the courseof floristic tudiesof the Brazilian"camposrupestres"savanna-like egetation hatoccurs at elevationsover 600 m in the Brazilianstates of Bahia,Goias,and MinasGerais), ollec-tionsweremade n themunicipality fGrao-Mogol,in the northern artof the mountainangeknownas the "Cadeia o Espinha,co,"tateof MinasGer-ais.
