“No one comes to the Father except through me,” Jesus said to his disciples (John 14:6). For some Christians, this line has become a weapon to be

used against those who are not Christian, denying them the possibility of salvation. But notice, when

Jesus said these words he was speaking to his disciples in response to Thomas’s fear that they

would not know how to follow him to the Father. So Jesus tells them that he is the way, the truth, and

the life. For his disciples, this was the best answer to their question. Salvation is open to all, whether

you know Jesus well or even at all. For us as Christians, we are blessed to have this way to

follow.

How can I serve the Church more fully? What can I do to contribute to Jesus’ mission?

“Nadie va al Padre si no es por mi”, le dice Jesús a sus discípulos (Juan 14:6). Algunos cristianos han usado esta frase como arma en contra de los que no son cristianos, negándoles la posibilidad de la

salvación. Pero fijémonos en que Jesús se expresa así para dirigirse a sus discípulos como respuesta al temor de Tomas de no saber como

seguir a Jesús para llegar al Padre. Por eso Jesús les dice que el es el camino, la verdad, y la vida.

Para los discípulos esta era la mejor repuesta que pudieran recibir. La salvación esta disponible para todos, ya conozcas bien a Jesús o no lo conozcas en absoluto. Nosotros los cristianos tenemos la

bendición de tener este camino a seguir.

¿Como puedo servir a la Iglesia mas a fondo? ¿Qué puedo hacer para contribuir a la misión de

Jesús?

John 14: 6 is a very beautiful Gospel passage. Read through it again and pick one

favorite verse. Keep it to yourself for a moment. What does it mean to you to go the way of Jesus in our world today? The slogan “WWJD” (What would Jesus do?) has become

popular among some Christians. Would you ever ask this question of yourself? Would it help you decide the way of Jesus for you?
